Can't Resist Her

Carissa's heart pounded in her chest as David's gaze lingered on her, his eyes filled with temptation. She held her breath, fearing he might give in to his desires and kiss her right then and there.

David, sensing her panic, fought back a laugh, finding her reaction endearing. He resisted the urge to pull her closer and kiss her passionately, instead focusing on Nikki's persistent inquiries.

"What is it, Nikki?" David replied, his voice strained with irritation.

Nikki's voice pierced the tension, causing Carissa to grip him tighter. "What do you mean? I asked if you're still in there and now you're responding with such a curt tone like I'm disturbing you."

David's eyes remained fixed on Carissa, his gaze intense and tempting. "I was actually busy with something, and you really disturbed me, sister," he muttered, his voice low and husky.

"Did you say something in there?" Nikki pressed, her curiosity evident in her tone.
