A Parent's Apology

It was already eight in the evening. Jayden had been right about his assumption. His mother was too exhausted to receive other guests.

Their father wasn't ready to share the moment either. Thus, Mark got the well-deserved sleep he lost the previous night. Arya was well-rested too.

Sarah kept herself busy playing around with Esmeralda as the siblings slept. By the time evening rolled in, everyone was well relaxed physically.

They were served super which they ate in gusto. Once done, Jayden went back to check. That was when they were allowed to meet their mother.
