THE VOW

We stood in front door of the priest and we were told to make our vows, his best man gave him the vow he wrote inside a paper.

“ Don’t worry, I thing I should do this down from the depth of my heart.

He held my hand and he look straight into my eyes under the veil.

“ The very first time when I saw you was at grandma’s place, May her would rest in peace and I never knew I had met my wife until when something brought us together, something and I never thought I never thought our love will blossom this way like it did, I never thought I would ever one day tell myself , this woman must be my wife no matter what “ he chuckles and rubed my hand with his and his vows made tears rolled down my cheek because he was saying from the depth of his heart and he mean those words.

“ Shade , I have never fall deep in love like I fell in love with you because you are that one different woman and you stole my heart, baby I promise to be by you forever, my Ebony beauty, I promise never to let go of you, I promise to do my best to be that best husband , best friend and the best father to our children, Baby I am

Glad to stand in front of you and in front of the world, claiming you and confessing my love again that I love you so much Shade I am glad that you are adding my surname to your name today because as from today, I love so much my Ebony beauty and till death do us part, nothing in this life will bring us apart, I love you baby” he says.

I cried all through, I wanted to kiss him for the vow but I still had my veil on.

Everyone clapped they didn’t stop crying, my friends were crying because they were happy for me and prayed for such.

I was ask to make my own vow, I didn’t prepare anyone.

I looked into his eyes and I remembered when I woke up beside him and he asked me that silly question if we just had sex and I laughed with tears of joy coming down my face , many people stare at me and I stopped laughing.

“ Kunle our love taught me something, Love could happen anywhere, it taught me that true feelings exists, when we met was during was when I was tired of life itself, I just wanted to walk away from whatever I was doing at that point in my life and you came into my life and you became the best friend, the best partner any woman can ever asked off, you never judge me by where I was coming from, you judge me by my real self.

You never disrespected me because I was no one but you placed me high, you showed me what true love is and that they still exist.

Kunle I promise to be that woman you loved , I promise to stand by you through the thick and thin, no matter what may come your way or our way in this journey of love, I will always love you and cherish you more, I will be your best friend for life, I will be your partner for ever and I will be the best mother to our kids, I love you baby” I said with tears.

People clapped for us and we were told to exchanged the rings.

He slipped ring into my finger first and I slipped ring into his finger and I slipped mine and the priest said you may kiss the bride.

“ he slowly remove the veil on face and he smile and I smile back at him and he tilt his hear and muttered “ I love you so much” then he passionately place his lips on my lips , he would kiss me and would break the kiss and he would say.

“ You are beautiful” he would kiss me again and say something sweet and I would just smile and after five times of breaking the kiss and talking. He didn’t stop, he kept kissing me not stop even I was enjoying it, we forgot totally that we are still at the wedding until the priest cleared his throat.

He held me by hand and I place my head on his shoulders.

We shared the grace at the end of the wedding and we head for the reception, the wedding reception was in the same venue because I wanted a beach wedding reception.

We were taken to the hotel to change into our reception wear and we got back into

The car.

The car took us to the reception and during the little trip.

Kunle didn’t let go of he kept kissing me until it was time for the wedding reception.

When we got out of the car, I looked at my wedding reception atmosphere and I loved what I saw, yes, it’s so beautiful just like I always wanted my wedding to be.

My family and his family had danced in , it was our turn to dance which we dance to the hit song by Adekunle Gold ft Lucky date because it really matches our love story and it was changed to Buga by kizz Daniel and High by Adekunle Gold ft Davido.

After the dance we went to our seat every event followed, Kunle was all over me , he would hold my hand , kiss me randomly, we cut our cake and we had the mommy and son danced and I had my mom danced with me , I made sure those greedy uncle of mine never try to come and show off like they have been there for me, I made sure my mom who had been our mother and father enjoyed role she had been playing in our life for long, I made sure she danced and took the place of my father , we danced happily.

And someone added spice to the wedding 

Kunle’s  brother Simi, came out and we thought he wanted to make a toast to us and the MC called out Peju, I look into Kunle’s eyes and Peju looked so surprised with questions on her face, she kept looking around for why she was being called wearing.

She was having this her innocent look.

Peju came out and Simi smiled holding her hands, she quickly looked around and I perfectly understand her, the fear of Kunle’s mom.

“ Baby,  the first day I met you I never knew someone like you will make me want to do this today, I want to do this for you , baby because I love. Don’t give a no to me as an answer, I want yes.

Nigerian musician Cheque came to perform his hit single “ call you baby” and he began to sing , tears dripped down Peju’s face.

“ Will you marry me” he asked looking into Peju’s eyes . 

Peju looked into his eyes, she looked around and tears dripped down her face.

I feel so happy for them then she nods her head.

He didn’t even wait for her to yes and he held her fingers and he slipped the ring into her finger.

He stood up and they embrace.

SIMI.

I told my self already that I am going out to make things right today.

I already paid Cheque to perform for us.

I stepped out and I looked at my mom face to know she was paying attention to what I was about doing.

I asked the MC to help me call Peju out and when Peju was called out as she was coming out I look back at my mom and I can see her fuming with anger, I can see a change in expression.

I said how I never thought she was the one that will change a playboy into a responsible man.

I went down on my knees, I told Peju I was going to make things right, I know she never believed that I meant those words of mine.

I looked into Peju’s eyes and She nods her head with tears rolling down her face.

I did not wait for her to even say yes, I already have the answer from her nodding , I slipped the customized engagement ring into her finger and I kissed her on her lips me I deepened the kiss and she continue kissing me and I lean her my head to her face.

“ I love you baby” he says.

“ I love you too” I said.

My brother and his wife stood up and they came to embrace I and Peju.

I held her hand and we walk to our sit and my mom looked at us in a dissatisfaction way , I kissed her again.

SADE.

It was very beautiful and several top Nigerian musicians like Davido, Wizkid, Olamide, Fireboy and joeboy performed for us.

After the dance, everyone came to join us to dance, they spray us money and finally the wedding ended.

We greeted some of our guests, the dignitaries who came to the wedding and we go into the car and the car took us  home.

When we got into the car , I look into my wife’s face, yes my wife , Shade is officially my wife now, I slowly look into his house and I said to her.

“You look beautiful to day, in your wedding dress and your reception wear” I said

“Thank you” She says and she looked into my eyes, I smiled at her and I slowly look at her lips, I slowly place my lips on her passionately, she kissed me back , I break the kiss and I turn to her slowly we deepened the kiss and it became intense, she pulled away.

“Hey, It’s our night”I said.

“Yes, I know, it’s all fake and I don’t want us doing anything that will affect us, I am sorry” she says and he moves his lips to my lips again.

“I am so sorry that we have to do this” she says softly. Truth be told , I was hard as rock but since she insisted that we don’t do anything, I will not force her, I will just try to understand with her and slowly , we will get to that level.

The car got home and parks , we both came out of the car and she wanted to go and I told her to stop. I walked to her and I kissed her lips slowly and passionately, she looked into my eyes, I know she wanted more and I lift her a bridal style .

I took her to her bedroom, I looked into her eyes, I really needed to touch her , I place my lips on her lips and her place her in the bed , she wraps her hands around my neck we kissed for a while and she pulled away.

I kissed her on her forehead.

“goodnight” I said softly.

“Good night’ she says.

I went into my room and I needed to calm my body down, I undress and go under the shower, I wasn’t hard again, I went to lie down but I couldn’t sleep I kept tossing around in the bed, I sat up and I was hard again.

I stood up  and I thought of going to her again and I sat down again.

Shade.

I thought I could survive the night but it was so hard, it’s my wedding night and I want my husband to touch me , I want to feel his hand on my body and I want him to do many things to me this night but I am scared of getting pregnant again and someone forcing it out of me , I should have gotten contraceptives, I am scared of starting something that won’t end, we started kissing and I find it so hard to stop it, if we start having sex would it ever stop? I just want to thread carefully that’s all.

I stood up and walk into the kitchen to take some water because I don’t know what I am thirsty for, I wanted stood in the kitchen and our kisses came rushing into my brain, I shut my eyes and I smile, Imagine his hand roaming over my body and I felt a kiss on my lips , I open my eyes and he was standing in  front of me.

“What are you doing here and why do you have your eyes shut? Is everything alright/ I stare at him with no word.

‘What are you doing here? I asked.

“ I couldn’t sleep so I thought I should get some water” he says.

“I couldn’t sleep either too, I …….’ I open my mouth and couldn’t Say a word , I kept staring at his abs and his lips  and I move closer to him.

He look into my eyes and to my lips , he slowly place touched my nape and his touch  on my nape  made me shut my eyes slowly, I opened my eyes and look into his eyes and he slowly place his lips on my lips and the kiss was slow and passionate , he place wraps his hand around my waist  and I wrap my hand around his neck, we deepened the kiss , we kissed hungrily, he lifts me off the ground and I wrapped my legs around his body , we didn’t break the kiss till we got to his room, he didn’t place me in the bed , he place me in front of the mirror.

KUNLE.

I entered into the kitchen and I found her eyes shut, I wanted to speak up  but I felt I should just kiss her , she opened her eyes , I asked what she was doing here, she didn’t say a word she just stare into my eyes pulling in her lips.

She threw back the same question to me, I said I couldn’t sleep and she says she couldn’t sleep as well, I knew we had the same issues , finding it hard to sleep, wanting to be each other’s arms.

She looked into my eyes, without a word , I have the answer already, I slowly touched her nape and she slightly shut her eyes and open it staring into my eyes, she moves closer and I place my lips on her , I kissed her slowly and passionately, we deepened the kiss and our kiss grew intense.

I lift her off the ground with her reception wear, she wrapped her leg around my body and I took her into the bedroom, I place her in front of my mirror , I place my lips on the shoulder and I slowly help with the string, I slowly untie the string with my lips on her nape while she has her eyes shut, I kissed her lips , I slowly remove the dress from her arm, it was easy because it’s a backless off shoulder, her dress fell to the ground and she was having her lingerie on.
