CHAPTER 26

Alex and Stella was inside the car, Alex was driving "where are we going now" Stella asked " "I suggests we go to park " Alex answered her ," I don't fell like going to noisy place now , I only want a cool place to cool myself " she said calmly feeling distracted ,thinking in her own world. " Tell me what is it that is bothering you,because have been watching you since we leave the hotel ,you've not been happy since you heard news about your boss " Alex with concern " why willn't I be sad,when my boss is with our enemy, we invested so much for this contract ,see how it is now I don't even know where she keeps her things pertaining the contract and hear it is she has lost her memory " she said emotionally her eyes were red welcoming tears that was about to drop but she quickly turned her face towards the window facing outside, she clean her eyes with the back of her hands before it could drop ,one hand but Alex catch that ,he use one hand to hold the steering wheel and the other to hold her left hand that is beside him , he gently squeeze her hand, she turn her head to him,emotionally ,she could understand that he was concern for her and she appreciate it ,with the same thing he did she squeeze his hand in reply to his kind gesture, she smile a weak smile at him before turning to face the other side.

" zoo" Stella shouted surprisely look at Alex in amazement , " is it not good " Alex asked in in care manner " I did not say that, but this the least place, I thought you can being me to somewhere more conservative rather than this place " Stella exclaims following him behind " well here we are you don't have a choice " he said and paid the entrance fee before entering " let go " Alex said after he see that she didn't following him ,he walk back to her about three feet to where she was standing " what happened " he asked placing his two hands on both her shoulder staring at her , she look up at him and see the way he was try to known what she feel , " later, let go" she said this three words and smile hurtfully before walking forward, and Alex hand drop from her shoulder while he also follow her,inside the animal word .

"wow look at that bird , it beautiful " Stella shouted cheerfully ,she grab Alex hand and drag him to follow her to where she see a bird . They walk together hand in hand ,staring at different types of animal .

"let rest here " Alex said sitting down on the bench under the tree , while Stella also do the same .

They were busy enjoying the breeze silent , when Alex break the unwanted silent. " Stella why are you Moody when you are coming inside " Alex said not looking at her " I don't want to talk about it " Stella said shaking her head to discouraged her self that she is okay , " you know there are things that are meant to be say ,when it going to make you relieve of your burden " Alex encouraged silently in a consoling manner that could melt thousand cold mind ,that make it affected Stella.

They was a grievous silence after he say this before it ends with Stella voice " My dad died in the front of the zoo on my birthday " Stella said trying hard to remained her voice solid like earlier , but it didn't. " what " Alex asked turning her head to her to know if his hearing well, Stella nod her head in assurance that it true.

" How ? what happened ?? Alex asked eagerly ,Stella wanted to stop the story they but she realized his expectant gaze on her , she don't want to turned him down. " That was seven years ago when I clock sixteen, it actually my first time going to the zoo ,It because I spent all my life in boarding school and when I graduated from boarding school, I decided to asked my dad to take me to zoo, we decided on when to go, I go with my parents, they shoot him at the door of the zoo , he was murdered in front of me, me and my mom couldn't do anything" she said and started crying while Alex stated petting her ,he put her head on his shoulder to lean on , he put his hand on her waist to support her , they were staring at space . Alex now regreting why he try to bring up such situation in time like that ,when he was busy enjoying with her.
