Daniel gave me a confusing look and asked

"what are you saying..."

"it's was that, my Professor called me this morning, to say that, my entrance is been pre-pounded in a month or two, and my admissions are in this year-end..."

"So, you didn't even feel like telling me..."

"Was we all in the good times to say my good news to you Danny"

Daniel didn't dare to look into my eyes, he knows what happened this morning... after few seconds, he said

"I am really sorry Meg, for what happened this morning, tell me now what really happened..."

"it doesn't matter anymore Danny, so let it be... I am not comfortable with your mother is true... but I am not so uncultured to deliberately go to have fight and misbehave with a woman of my mother's age, That's not how I am bought up"

"But Meg why we're holding my mother's hand..."

"It was a defensive act of anyone, I was preventing her from slapping me... just because I love you, I can't take a slap from your mother... right"

Daniel looked... and said

"Ok, go ahead have fun with your friends...when are you back to our house, it's Jack's bachelor party tonight, so I will be back only after his wedding, will be not able to pick Mia, can you please get her"

"It's not that, I trust you, ok... but I will not be able to pick Mia tomorrow, I have to drive my Uncle and Aunt, but will ask Ray to pick her... is it ok for you"

Daniel thought for some time and said,

"Ok... I will inform Mia, that Ray your friend is coming to pick her, but tell him to keep his wagging tail, in check..."

"Excuse me, you really don't even know what Ray or Riley is... Ray is even worst than you when it comes to relationships... actually, he doesn't believe in relationships... so hold your horses... ok"

as he nodded... he put me down, and straightened my rippled dress... seized all my scattered hair properly, and kissed me again...held my waist and opened the door...My friends who waited out with a very serious expression... widened their eyes???? it was Ray who first spoke

"You do this all time, you both have to feed us with you dog food always.... find a room guys, come on...let's go"

I buried my burning face in Daniel's strong chest, hiding from anyone looking at my embarrassed face.... Daniel caressed hair to a sure it's ok and smiled while saying...

"You're jealous... find a girlfriend and get married"

all of the three of us except, Daniel, was shocked at what Daniel said... I pulled away from his embrace, and just held Ray's hand...

"He did mean that..."

Ray nodded in understanding and said,

"it's ok... I need to use the restroom, will see you guys later... bye, Daniel"

as he said he walked away... with his heads down

"I will check on him, will see you guys in cafeteria, Megan buy that black tuxedo for him, here take the card... bye, Daniel"

Daniel stood there dumbfounded... he just turned to me like questioning what was all this about....

"I will explain to you, once we are home, but now... we need to go"

I said, while Olivia also nodded, but Daniel was not at all convinced...

"What is that bothered him so much, with that words of mine Olivia..."

he didn't ask me, he knows I won't give away... to his question so soon...

"That...that...Brother Daniel, Ray...."

"Oli... stop... Danny, it's a little complicated, so we are leaving, Ray needs us both... more than your curiosity of knowing what happened"

as I said, I pulled Olivia and ran towards the men's restroom... as I said to the store manager...

"Uncle Tom, pack that Black tuxedo for me, bill it in Dad's name"

Daniel Pov

Megan just flew from that place like a frightened bird, that was going to face some disaster... I was so confused about them... and why was Ray acting so weird, out of his nature... he's a sweet jolly loving boy, I have known him for year's now and this was the first time I have seen this grave look on his face... what's it that, bothered him so much....by just a single word girlfriend... with my thoughts, I gave the report file to Eric, who was standing a little far from me, and we both walked together, Eric also was invited to the party...

"Ray may look like a carefree guy, Eric... but he's not, something is really bothering him badly"

"Do you want me to check on his background, Boss"

Eric asked, I shook my head and said...

"No need, Megan said she will tell once we home... so I will wait"

I didn't want to piss off my Felix tigress... so she opens her claws again... so we left quietly... Eric nodded his head in understanding.

We went to Hotel K... where the decoration was halfway, we had another day to get everything ready... I checked in to the room that was booked for me, it was a couple's room... I wondered why was a couple's room booked for me, as I was thinking, Jack, entered the room with a big smile... and asked

"Like it... "

"Yaa... but why..."

"What... why, Megan will be here tomorrow, where will she stay... "

"I thought she's staying with Ellie or Mia..."

"Your so generous Mr Reid... lending your precious little wife to my fiancee, Mia's her bridesmaid, so she will accompany my Bride... you can take care of your little wife..."

I gave a bitter smile to him... while walking to the bed and threw the bag on the floor, sat on the bed with my legs up and hands behind my head... Jack came sat with me and asked

"What's your look... somewhat suspenseful... tell fast.... what have you done"

I told Jack what happened this morning, and how we both met at Mall, everything in detail...and waited for his response, Jack stood up slowly from the seat, and walked to the French window... took out his cigarette pack from his pocket, pulled out a cigarette, light it and started to smoke, without even answering anything... I was now really don't what made him so angry, I got up and stood next to him, took the cigarette from his hand, and took a puff out of it... only then Jack asked...

"Didn't you stop smoking because Megan doesn't like that smell, what's happening now, when did you start to smoke again"

as he said, took the cigarette from me and took a puff... giving it back to me...

"Sometimes, when things are not that great.. I take one or two... not regularly, why do you ask"

"Your losing interest in Megan, I think so..."

"What nonsense are you spouting.... How will I even lose interest in her, Hai Jack speak"

I yelled at him... but he turned lazily and said,

"You are not any more consent of what Megan will think... your ready to smoke, and what have you done this morning, you dragged her so hard that she lost her balance and fell to the ground, but you stood there without even helping her, but she still allowed you to kiss her, and even... didn't rebel you... agreed to stay with you in the same house with your Mother, for another 5months..."

"Yaa, Jack... she's fine, to adjust with mom till Megan leaves to her higher studies"

"Oh... will your mother adjust"

"What you want to tell Jack... say it clearly, you know I don't understand these riddles"

"That's the problem, that your mother takes you on her ride easily, don't you feel suspicious about Megan entering your Dad's study... your a Board of Director of a reputed company, your so talented in your work, Danny, but when it comes to your mother why do you lose your rationality... She's plotting against Megan... it's better for move out with Her as soon as can... or I can't tell how it will turn out"

I was in a thunderstorm.... when Jack said that, is really my mother is plotting against my wife, what's her problem, doesn't she want me to be happy, Megan is my happiness, then why does my mother do all this to separate us.... after finishing his smoke, Jack said and walked out

"Come down sharp at 7 pm, we need to have more fun..."

I was not in the mood for any fun now, I only wanted to see Megan and ask, what happened this morning, if it's like Jack said... I am taking her out of that house, where she's not safe....
