CHAPTER TWO

Audrey's POV

Through out the drive to school Olivia was surprisingly quiet.

I tried to engage her into conversations but I ended up receiving 'Oh, okay,yeah"

Not even spraring me a glance and that got me worried. Its so unlike her. With her eyes glued to the road,I felt bored.

Tomorrow is your 18th birthday Audrey,you need to be prepared. Its the beginning of a new phase in your life, a lot of things will change and a lot of things will start happening to you, Olivia said to me.

Apart from our teachers in school,Olivia is another lecturer I know.

Always in the mood to teach me,its just like she knows almost everything,the solution to every problem and the answers to all my annoying questions.

I just want you to know I'll always be there whenever you need me, she said taking her eyes off the road for the first time,gave me a warm squeeze on my hand and continued staring at the road again.

Why is she being weird all of a sudden, I wondered. Anyways,I will be having some much fun tomorrow and thats the only thing I'm concerned about for now,I grinned widely.

We got to school,I opened the door and jumped down not waiting for Olivia to park well.

That was dangerous Audrey,you would have gotten yourself injured,Olivia scolded me as she rushed to meet up with me.

I rolled my eyes at her,but I didn't get injured right?

I eye scanned the school in search of my friend.

Yes,I've got crazy friends too.

My best Friend Whitney,Lucas,Daniel,Brian,Nora and Diana. Whitney is a very amazing person,crazy and caring,and Lucas my crush since grade one😊.

Oh there they are,Whitney and Lucas sitting together,they where so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't see me until I stood in front of them.

I could see the shock on Whitney's face which was replaced with a bright smile immediately. She quickly open her hands wide for a hug as I hugged her immediately.

'Come here cupcake,I've really missed you,she said

"Same here honey" Where are the others? I asked as we disengaged from the hug.

I blushed so hard as Lucas drew me in for a hug. It wasn't the first time hugging him yet I keep getting this nudging feeling each time.

I didn't want to let go,I wish I could stay for a few more minutes,I snitched him as I perceive his fragrance. Alluring

Whitney's POV

Immediately I saw her standing in front of us smiling sheepishly at us,mostly at Lucas,I felt this pants of jealousy flash through me.

Even in her simple highwaist trouser and white crop to she still looks very beautiful and attractive.

She's the most beautiful and Rochester among us but she keeps acting like she doesn't care about the wealth.

I sighed mentally,seeing her looking this beautiful and cheerful everyday just makes me hate her the more.

"Where are the others? She asked jolting me out of my thought.

I guess they are already in class,class starts in 30mins times I was actually waiting for you,Lucas told her making me jealous once more.

She thinks she can take Lucas away from me,we will see about that.

"We better get going then" she said as I put up a false smile and followed her into the class
