Prologue

"Ram, the teacher said you awakened your gift yesterday, that's why you couldn't come yesterday. Is that true?!"

"My parents also said to get along with you, they said you will become a great person..."

Numerous children had congregated around a specific boy, showering him with numerous inquiries while their eyes gleamed with excitement. Their eyes brimmed with authentic curiosity as they gazed at the boy, who wore a proud smirk on his face as though he possessed the entire space.

"Hehehe... Yes awakened my gift yesterday... You guys know what it's called...?! 'Physico enantement'... cool right? that's what everyone said to me... hehe"

"Heh~ that's so cool..."

"Tsk, that's called 'Physical Enhancement' idiots... It's a D-ranked common-grade gift. It will boost all of his physical capabilities to an extreme degree for a short time. If he raised his talent under the proper guidance, every guild would offer him a job with a higher salary. Plus he will also get a lot of benefits from our government. That's why every one of you guys's parents was forcing you all to get along with him."

In the seventh-grade classroom, a cacophony of voices filled the air. Suddenly, all eyes turned towards the kid who had just spoken.

With his black hair and green eyes, he appeared visibly annoyed as he glanced back at his classmates. As he listened to their chatter, Guru couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief creeping in. Despite spending over half a year in this alternate reality, he still struggled to adapt.

"The world has changed..." he muttered to himself ignoring his surroundings.

Initially, Guru had been filled with excitement when he first arrived in this parallel world. After all, who wouldn't have regrets in their life? Being allowed to go back to his first year of middle school and rectify his mistakes seemed like a dream come true.

At that time, he had been brimming with ambition and eager to accomplish great things. However, reality had dealt him a harsh blow.

This wasn't his real world.

He had been transported to an alternate reality where time had rewound, and he recognized everyone around him from his memories. His family, friends, and acquaintances were all there, unchanged.

The only difference was the world itself, now filled with monsters, hunters, and dungeons.

According to the history knowledge Guru gathered in these few months, the emergence of "the Gate" two decades ago marked a significant turning point in the world as humans knew it.

The Gate, a mysterious portal connecting the real world with a realm inhabited by monstrous creatures, opened up new possibilities and dangers for humanity.

Ordinary individuals suddenly found themselves bestowed with the ability to confront and hunt these otherworldly beings. These individuals, known as Hunters, became a crucial line of defense against the threat posed by the monsters from the Gate.

However, not all Hunters possess equal power and skill.

The Hunters are classified into seven distinct classes, ranging from the formidable S class to the relatively weaker F class.

This categorization is based on their hunting skills, combat prowess, and overall effectiveness in eliminating the inter-dimensional monsters. The S-class Hunters are revered as the strongest and most capable, while the F-class Hunters are considered the weakest.

It is important to note that not all humans possess the innate ability to perceive their physical attributes numerically or awaken their skills.

Only a select few individuals have the potential to become Hunters and harness their unique abilities. These individuals possess a special connection to the supernatural realm and can perceive the monsters and their skills numerically.

The occupation of a skilled Hunter capable of eliminating these inter-dimensional monsters has become highly sought-after and lucrative. With modern weaponry proving ineffective against these creatures, the demand for Hunters has skyrocketed.

Governments, organizations, and wealthy individuals are willing to pay exorbitant sums to employ these skilled individuals for protection, monster extermination, and exploration of the Gate.

As a result, the life of a Hunter is filled with danger, adventure, and the potential for great wealth. They are constantly honing their skills, training their bodies, and seeking out new challenges within the Gate.

The Hunters form a tight-knit community, sharing knowledge, techniques, and experiences to better combat the ever-evolving threats from the other realm.

Lately, a fresh theory has been circulating online, suggesting that the offspring of hunters possess a greater likelihood of awakening their gifts compared to others.

The government has neither endorsed nor refuted this claim. Interestingly, even Ram, a child whose parents are esteemed hunters, falls into this category.

All of the kids who heard Guru gathered around with sparkling eyes as they looked at him.

"Guru... is it true that Ram's power was that amazing?!"

"It must be true... Guru himself said so!"

"Even though you and I are always top in the overall ranking in our studies, he will end up more amazing than us?!"

"Hey, Guru tell me, is Ram's power even more amazing than my brother's?"

"Oi, why did you know all of that? Where did you learn it?"

Guru couldn't help but roll his eyes in annoyance as everyone shook him by grabbing him.

"Ahem, hey everyone what are you doing around Guru?"

As he was on the verge of losing his temper with them, their homeroom teacher appeared. The children, who had been mischievously whispering and passing notes, froze in their tracks, their eyes widening with a mix of surprise and fear.

In that moment, the classroom transformed into a scene reminiscent of a wildlife documentary. The children, resembling rabbits caught in the headlights, scurried back to their respective seats with lightning speed. The once boisterous room became eerily silent.

Guru breathed a sigh of relief as the teacher with a gentle yet firm tone, addressed the class, her words carrying a weight that resonated with each child. She reminded them of the values they had been taught, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and the pursuit of knowledge.

Her words were like a soothing balm, quelling the storm of chaos that had threatened to consume the classroom. As the teacher continued to speak, the children gradually regained their composure. Their fidgeting ceased, and they sat up straight, their attention fully focused on their teacher.

But Guru's attention was completely on different things.

He was thinking about his future.

Having completed his education and joined the workforce in his previous life, he possessed a wealth of experience despite being in a new world.

In addition to his existing memories, he knew that with hard work, he could secure a job as a civil servant even without any special abilities. However, while poor scores in combat arts wouldn't hinder his admission into university, excelling in this field would provide numerous advantages.

If possible, Guru aspired to become proficient in both academics and martial arts, laying a solid groundwork for his future and ensuring a promising beginning.

Unfortunately, his parents lacked any magical abilities, just like ordinary individuals, and that made his chances of awakening nearly zero.

But still, he had a little bit of hope as he saw the row of letters and numbers appeared in front of him.

[Current Age: 12]

"The same age of my current body's life..."

He is somehow able to see these details the moment he came into this world. He had been in this world for over half of a year and still didn't know what use it had. Still sitting at his desk, he raised his head and looked at the lectern at the front as time continued to pass.

Ding!

A clear sound rang out.
