Learn to trade you must

I made my way towards the engineering room to meet with Mai so that she could make the power drills, and power saws. Once arrived there I received a face full of breasts. She wrapped her mechanical arms around me, not wanting to let me go.

"Ohhhh I'm so happy that you could see me, I can't wait to show you on what I did." She then sends two of her mechanical arms down her labs and gabbed two objects. She then showed one of them. The object was a square like object that had a vertical hole on front, it also had a rifle stock behind it.

"This one is the power saw that we made, though we made a few modifications to it." She then pressed a few buttons and a energized saw blade appeared on the hole.

"The blade appears like normal and can cut normal, but we made it that it can be launched like a rifle, here let me show you. She then drags me towards a empty section of the room. She then calls a dwarf to place targets to show a demonstration.

After the dwarf set the targets, he ran towards a barrier that the rest of the dwarfs. 'When did they make that?' My attention was then grabbed Mai when she called my name.

"Fritz please pay attention, now to launch the saw blade, you'll need to cock this leaver and aim." Like she explained there was a lever in front the trigger. She then aimed saw at the target and pressed the trigger, the saw blade then launched from the weapon and spun towards the target at a rapid pace passing through the target. As it hit the target, the target split in half and landed on the floor, I then made my way towards it to see the cut. When I arrived, the cut was very clean, not a single mistake was found.

I was impressed on the accuracy it had and wanted to start passing these to the dwarves. But Mai interrupted my thoughts when she pulled me again to show the other object. This one looked like a mega blaster from mega man, instead the color was white, and the exit was black.

"As you know this is the power drill, it has the same function as the saw, it creates the same energized form, and it can reform when damaged. Now for the modification, we decided to not change anything for this since it is fine as it is. However, we are trying to make them fueled by mana so the beast-kin can operate them." She then puts away the two objects and starts to drag me across the workshop. She showed me the projects that they were doing, some of them were trying to make a mana-fueled power saw, while another was creating a mana fueled vehicle.

I then waved goodbye, but Mai then approached me and whispered something in my ear that made me wish that it was night. I then made my way towards the hatch and exited the ship, surrounding the ship were the beast-kin with power saws and drills, though these are the normal versions, cutting the trees and drilling through the stone, while the elves and dark elves were keeping a look out on the surrounding forest.

Near the Hatch are the dwarfs in front of a holographic screen, looking at the screen I could see that they are planning to build a wall around the ship to make a temporary home until we have more resources to expand. I then approached them to hear the discussion on what they wanted to do.

"...No no no, we can't do that, that would leave the east to be blocked and we won't be able to build a new path for the water." Said one dwarf

"We have no choice until we can have better defense and make a water filter, we can't make bars of stone, we don't know if there are bigger animals, or if something can poison the water." Replied another. I then stepped in because they looked like they were going to have a fight. As soon as I stepped in both dwarfs looked at me and tried to get me on one of there sides.

"Captain, please we need to make this path, if not we can't get pure water and we can't make a blacksmith to make refined iron, we have the ore, but we need to make Iron ingots." Asked the first dwarf, the second dwarf shoved the first one to the sides.

"Ignore this blockhead, talk some sense into him, we don't have the resources to filter the water, and we can just use the machinery to make iron ingots."

"No, I won't allow this, I would rather keep the traditional blacksmith alive than use machines." I then sighed and raised my hands to shut them up.

"Alright you two here's what we are going to do..." Both dwarfs look at me while the rest of the dwarfs listen on what I'm saying. I looked at the first dwarf and opened my mouth.

"...Since you want to keep the traditional blacksmith alive, I have a solution." I then approached the holographic screen and moved it to the side, and an empty screen took its place. I then start to draw a machine that was long in length and tall like a building A/c. At the end of rectangle it has a hose tap.

"This machine is in one of the shops that I can buy, it's called the Elemental producer. What it does is that it takes the oxygen in the air and starts to merge it with other molecules to producer water. HOWEVER..." I turned towards the two dwarfs, and both flinched back at my reaction.

"...That does not mean that it can produce drinkable water, but there is another machine that can filter the water, but it will set us back a few days since I need to start trading the meat with the other people. I do worry that If I try to raise the prices there will be some people that found a planet and sell some meat at a lower price." I then went into a trance and started to mumble and regrated on summoning a chef instead of a person that can do trade.

I then decided to have the best trader to help me out with my situation. I made my way towards my room and called her, after a few minutes of waiting she answered. She looked like she was crying tears of happiness and started to thank me over and over again, I then spent the next few minutes on trying to calm her down and told her my plan.

"I see...so you want to start a trade with the other people but don't know how to..." She then stayed silent and soon left the camera range, I wondered why she did that but I couldn't come to a conclusion because she came back in a business suite and had glasses on her face.

"...Never fear I am here! So lets get started on helping you trade."
