The Dragon wants to break free

Wu Yun brings the child inside and places her on the sheets next to Lan Tian's knees.

Lan Tian only needs the briefest of glances at her narrow eyes, chubby lips, and high nose, to come to a startling conclusion. "That's not Wan Mi."

Wu Yun shakes his head in silence, still looking down at the child.

When he musters up the strength to raise his neck and face Lan Tian, his eyes are mired with tears. "What happened to Wan Mi?"

Lan Tian doesn't have an answer for him, he can only look down at the sleeping child and try not to panic.

In a way, it's the confirmation of his worst fears. That it's impossible to make a child out of nothing, and that there's something wrong about this place.
