Chapter 3

Draco's POV

"I messed up man." Levy plops onto the bench as we meet at the front. He rubs his face and I raise an eyebrow.

"What'd you do now?"

"Did your mom find that secret stash of steroids you've bee—"

"Shut up man." he punches Jake's arm as we all crack up. "I cheated." He admits and we're all silent.

"You had a girlfriend?" We say together and he shrugs.

"I did."

"How come we've never seen here?" I question raising an eyebrow and he leans back, he looked a mess. His hands ran to many times in his hair and his eyes were slightly red.

If he liked her so bad, why'd he cheat?

"She's in high school."

"Pedophile." Liam murmurs under his breath.

"What is it with all these criminal offenses you're accusing men with. She's 16 turning 17 next Friday, I'm 18."

"Okay, so why'd you cheat?" Jake voices my question and he groans.

"I was drunk, remember Ash's birthday party? The girl I cheated with kinda seduced me, we had sex and bam, she's texting me the next day and it continues. I guess... Kehlani wasn't giving it up so when... "

"I can't be any more disappointed in you," Blue speaks up finally, fixing his glasses. His history textbook was wide open on his lap.

"Her name is pretty," I comment and Levy glares at me. "Hey, I'm not the one who cheated on her."

"Who's name is pretty?" My mood dampens a bit and I watch as Levy averts his eyes quickly upon hearing Jude's voice.

"Yours babe." I sigh as she latches onto my arm.

"I'm out," Blue announces and everyone follows him, smirking at me.

I can't believe these guys.

"Blue," Hayley calls in a singsong voice but he walks faster as if he wasn't hearing. She chases him of course.

"How are you?" Jude runs a finger along my arm and I resist the urge to run away.

"I'm good, you?"

"Perfect now that I'm with you." She bats her eyebrows creepily.

"Cool." I murmur distractedly staring off.

The girl I saw yesterday stayed in my mind, even as she left I just wanted to pull her aside and make her tell me all her problems to which I would listen to.

She was so beautiful.

"Draco!" Jude whines and I turn my attention to her. "The bell rung, what're you thinking off? Me, I hope." She cuddles into me and I force a smile as she leans in to kiss me. I turn my face, scratching my neck awkwardly before standing and stretching out my hand.

The look on the face is pure shock before she recovers and stomps away.

I groan louder, walking in the other direction as I try to remove the girl with the gold eyes swam in my mind.

Kehlani's POV

I walked around with my hoodie on, not really wanting people to look at my face. My eyes were puffy and red and my hands trembled.

The whole day was a drag, at two o'clock I received the following texts.

Levy- I wish you were here like you used to be.

Levy- I can't sleep without you.

Levy- can I at least hear your voice.

Levy- Kehlani please talk to me

I avoided the cafeteria and went to the library, my day was full of diverting.

"Hey, sis." Kylan walks up to me and I lift my head slightly, she frowns seeing my appearance to which I avert my eyes back to the ground. "I have... volleyball practice, do you mind raking the bus? If not—"

"It's okay I'll walk." I clear my throat and she sighs. "It'll help me clear my mind." I convince and she nods after a moment, kissing my forehead.

"Leave some ice cream for me." She scolds and I roll my eyes. She was older than me by five minutes yet she still thought she was superior.

I began my walk, and once I left the school I took off my hoodie, embracing the fresh air.

I walked slowly, grabbing the skittles I bought earlier and nibbling.

In the middle of my thoughts, I was suddenly pulled to the ground my gravity as something collided with me. I yelled, landing on my arms, my butt in the air as I try to figure out what happened.

"Crap, I am so sorry." A deep voice apologizes and I stand hastily realizing it was a male.

"I-its okay I—" I come face to face with the boy at the dinner, he seems to have recognized me too as his eyes widen. My arms burned and I can't stop myself from trailing down his figure. He had a sleeveless black workout shirt with matching Nike basketball shorts. He was a bit breathless, his wide defined chest moving quickly, his pink lips parted.

Oh, what're you doing Kehlani! Let's go!

"U-um well... bye!" I turn quickly, rubbing my arms.

"Wait!" He calls out and I stop. "We are going in the same direction I mean I could um, walk you to where you're going." He scratches his neck and I stand, admiring him once again before snapping out of it.

"Okay." He breaths out giving me a small smile.

We walk slowly, and it's awkward as we don't say anything.

"So. . what's your name?"

"Kehlani. Yours?" His head whips towards me, and they land on my puffy eyes.

"You wouldn't happen to know Levy?"

"Ha." I laugh bitterly. "I know him all too well."

"He cheated on you." He doesn't ask but states, and I raise an eyebrow at him.

"How do you know that? Are you guys—"

"Friends. Yea, he told us about it this morning, he's really regretful." He tells me and I roll my eyes.

"They always are. . for a while. . until they get over it." I murmur and he stares at the ground.

"Y'know, it's not your fault." He turns his head to me. Is this guy some type of immortal — "they can't control their wants. They leave the biggest diamond for a plate of silver, and it's sad really. They ruin the chances for the other guy who genuinely likes you."

I look at him, and he was looking at me. Shyly, I look away. "Thank you... " I murmur. My house was coming up and as we reach the walkway I turn to him.

"Uh. .thanks for... walking me home?" He grins.

"You're welcome, I'm sorry for being a human tornado." I laugh a little at that.

"Hey... if you'd like we could hang out sometime?" He suggests and I nod.

"Sure."

He gives me his phone and I state at it in my palm before raising an eyebrow at him.

"You want me to keep it?" I ask confused.

"Well if you want it that bad I can always get another one but I don't think you'd appreciate half-naked pictures in my messages." He jokes and I smile a bit. "Your number."

Oh.

"Oh, pfft." I punch in my number, calling myself before handing it back to him.

"I'll text you, see you later Kehlani." He waves and I wave back as he continues jogging down the street.

A soft smile is on my face as I open the door.

"Who was that kiddo?"
