Run to you

Marc was busy with all the contracts that he needs to sign and review for the past few weeks of his absence. He has been immersing himself in work for several days since he returned. And Alexei can't help but notice. 

"Did you finish with the renovation project already?" Marc's head barely lifted up from the files he was reading.

"Not yet," Marc uttered. "I'll just let the designer take care of everything while I'm here,"

" I'm just starting to wonder why you suddenly rushed off to come home. I even did my best to get you back at the office. But even Lorenz can't pull you away from there. So what made you decide in a haze like this?"

His son didn't say anything and just stared at the contract it was holding for a while. And then made a frustrated sigh.

"Aren't you already happy that I'm here?"

With that kind of attitude. Alexei could almost tell that something might have actually happened back there.
