Facing the inevitable

Reese was tasked to interview the applicants for the assistant interior designer. He didn't go through it at first which was a big mistake. Because the moment he flipped to see the next portfolio. He was greeted with Erin's figure at the door.

They were both shocked for a while. It's like the air had gone tight inside the room.

Erin on the other hand looked as though it wanted to run away. But it hesitated.

Reese tried his best to clear his throat. The time has really come to face their guilt's as Andrei told him before.

"Have a seat," he genuinely smiled at his most treasured person.

Erin reluctantly followed his request.

"So,you work here?"

If anything, he should be the one with his eyes lowered and not Erin.

"If you'd known earlier, wouldn't you be applying here then?"

"It's not like that- I just," he walked around his table to stand in front of Erin. And took both its hands, pressing gently at it.
