A lie, or a hunch of the truth?

I went outside, seeing my mom.

"Shit. I need to find a good way for him to die without her losing her cool." - I thought to myself.

"I uh.. He had a heart attack, we checked for his pulse and everything.."

"....I'm sorry, honey.."

I held my elbow, looking away frustrated.

"Hey, Natsuki, you should move in with me. Your father isn't here to take care of you." - My mom suggested.

"....Give me time, would you?" - I didn't look at her, but asked in a strict tone.

"Time for what?"

"To process all of this! I mean, I just lost the one parent who just.. helped me learn about myself.. Please, go home. I will figure myself out before giving you an answer."

She sighed and walked back home. I walked back inside the house and looked at everyone.

"Let's carry him to the destroyed village." - I said, putting the arrow in my bag.

"Or I can just teleport us all there, it's a long walk until there and I doubt any of us have enough stamina and strength to carry him all the way there." - Monika suggested.

"I'll get the shovel." - Lily spoke for the first time in a while.

While Lily went to get the shovel, Fugo glared at me and I looked at him, asking: "What is it?"

"You shouldn't have the arrow on you. You're reckless, I can tell that."

"I'm not going to give you the arrow. It belongs to my father."

".....If you try anything with the arrow, I swear-"

Lily came back with the shovel, he went outside, Narancia and Mista followed. Monika teleported all of us to the entrance of the destroyed village, along with Dadsuki's body.

I told Fugo to bury his body, I turned around so that I didn't see it. I looked away, trying not to tear up. Lily hugged me to comfort me, I got surprised, while Monika then looked at her with jealousy.

"....After we're done here, let's head back to our own homes. Lily, can you stay with me for a few days?" - I looked at everyone and then at Lily.

She nodded and Fugo started covering the hole with my Dad inside. I grit my teeth, clenching my fists.

"Yeah. That's fine." - Lily answered.

"In a few days, I'll give everyone feedback on my decision where I will live. At least for the time being."

When he was buried, me and Lily went back to my dad's house, everyone else parted ways to their own home, the gang stayed at a house next to my dad's.

*When me and Lily arrived home*

I closed the door behind us and noticed the blinds were still closed. I let them stay that way.

Lily then looked at me as I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed the mug I'd given to him on father's day a few months back. It still had some coffee in it. I put the coffee in the sink and cleaned the mug and then looked down at it, holding it with both hands.

It read:

"Congrats! You got the

#1 Dad award!"

Lily walked over to me and spoke: "Why don't you get rid of that thing? It doesn't really serve a purpose anymore."

".....I'd rather die than get rid of anything that reminds me of that stubborn bastard.. He means too much to me." - I put it back in the cabinet and continued - "...Lily, what if I'm lying to myself? I said I refused to believe he's dead but.. what if it did happen? What if I'm just comforting myself with an illusion?"

"....I guess only time will tell."

"I mean, my hunches are usually right.. And I wouldn't believe myself if I said that he was dead.. Someone is behind this."

I then heard a knock on the door and I turned around.

".....Who is it?" - I asked, walking over to the front door.

"It's me, Natsuki." - Seth spoke from behind the door. My heart dropped, I looked away and opened the door.

"What do you need?" - I looked up at him.

That was a mistake, now everytime I looked at his damned face, I only saw my nemesis and my first instinct was to let RTTC out.

He looked at me with a smile, I then remembered he told me to act like he was just a stranger..

Lily then asked: "Who is that?"

I looked over at Lily and smiled, saying: "He's just some guy I met at the park.. He seems to be worried about me ever since my fight with Yuri happened..!"

I then turned to him, saying through telepathy: "This act you make me put in front of everyone is going to drive me insane."

I then heard him think: "Good. You're not supposed to enjoy it anyway."

I growled as he then said: "Just need to check up on you, you okay?"

"No, I'm not.. I'm.. not going into detail." - I then continued but through telepathy - "Because you already know what happened.."

"Hm. Well, need a hug?" - He then offered.

I looked at him blankly, I didn't know what to do.

I smiled at him and I hugged him, looking away.

RTTC then came out and grabbed his neck from behind, I then spoke through telepathy: "If you dare do anything to Monika.. I will start a fight. Don't even do anything with your stand because even non-stand users will see it."

He then thought: "I'm not an idiot. Your acting isn't that good, let me just say that."

"Oh, shut your mouth already." - I then let go, so did RTTC and I waved him goodbye.
