Diego's POV

It's been two weeks since the last time I spoke to the woman carrying my child and that is because I've been in Spain for some business and also anytime I call her she ignores it or picks and finds out it is me then she hangs up. Now that I think about it I realised she is the only one who knows what happened that night we met and since she hates it I actually need to ask her about it . That is one of the reasons I'm happy to be back home so I could find out why she hates me so much and what happened that night. I got to the house at night so I went to bed after trying her number again hoping she would pick but like I guess she didn't so I decided to go see her at work the next morning and force her to talk to me then see Rachel since she also came back early that week.

"Good morning is Ashley in" I asked the blonde I saw on the floor guessing she's one of Ashley's assistant.

"No sorry she's not in would you like to drop a message for her" she asked with a friendly smile on her face.

" I can wait just tell me how long I will have to wait" I asked trying to keep cool at how a person gets to work so late.

"Oh I'm sorry I mean she's not going to be around for some time she went on a business trip" she said apologetically

"What do you mean by that" I asked slowly losing my cool

"Well sir she's not around but just leave your name and I will schedule an appointment for you with her or do you want another......." she started but I cut her off irritated by the way she was speaking like I was a client

" I don't want any appointment just tell me where she is" I said coldly.

"What is your name sir" she asked.

" What the hell I need answers not questions" I said growing angry.

" Sorry sir but I can't disclose that to you just yet as I was ordered to ask for the name of anybody who needs to see Miss Brooks before disclosing her location" she said trying to keep up the bold front but I saw the fear swirling in her eyes as she gripped the table.

"Well I'm Diego Ramos and I want answers" I said lowly and dangerously leaning closer to her.

"I'm sorry sir but I was ordered specifically not to disclose that information to you" she said like a cowering in fear.

" Well I could end your career if you don't tell me" I threatened

" All I can do for you is to give you her number" she said

" Fine" I said wanting to just get out of this damn place I collected your number and tried calling but she didn't pick my call.

I left and went back to work as I finished with the paperwork I called Rachel since she said she had something to tell me when she got back from Japan.

"Rachel" I said immediately she picked her

" Hey Chris what's up?"She asked distantly.

"Well you are back and you have something to tell me remember" i said but was replied by silence until she finally spoke again.

" Oh yeah I do" she said focusing on me this time

" Well spit it out" I said not having time for games

" Well is Ashley with you? If she is just come to my office with her and we could talk about this"she said which pissed me off because recently everything in my life has been revolving around that freaking girl.

"Why does she have to be there with me? Just because she's carrying my child doesn't mean she has to be considered in every decision I make" I said sternly.

" Well Christian this one concerns her as I am a gynecologist" she said in a serious tone I can't really believe she's a gynecologist.

" What do you mean? Since when?" I asked surprised

" None of your concern Diego so just get her and get here" she said angrily a tone I hardly ever hear her use as she hardly ever gets upset.

"Well I can't because I have no idea where she is as of this moment" I said calming down

" Oh yeah I totally forgot to tell you she is in Japan as of now and will be there for the next 2 months so I will tell you when I see her" she said laughing like her forgetting was the most hilarious thing she has ever done I can't believe she knew where Ashley was and she asked me to bring her it was as if she was trying to rile me up.

"Why the fuck did you ask me to bring her and get me upset for no reason"I asked very pissed.

" Language Chris I've been very busy with patients and I was not focused so I forgot that she was not in the country I'm sorry"she said sweetly.

" I don't care about language what the hell is she doing in Japan" I asked still pissed at her lack of focus and humour.

"Well work obviously, a client asked her to be her designer also invited her to the wedding, she's so lucky don't you think she gets to work and have fun at the same time" she said chuckling

" She is pregnant she is is not meant to be traveling or working just because she's careless doesn't mean she has to risk my child's life too" I said gritting my teeth.

"Hey she's not careless she can still travel at the early stages of her pregnancy so stop getting your panties all in a twist" she said cooling down back.

"It still doesn't matter stress is stress and when next you call her tell her to stop ignoring my fucking call" I said running my hands through my hair frustration.

"Sure but treat her well you owe her that at least" she said sadly which just confused the hell out of me.

"What are you talking about?"I asked tired of not knowing what's going on.

" Oh don't you think it was hilarious that I yelled at you to bring Ashley when I knew where she was huh" she said laughing but I knew she was just trying to change the subject.

"Don't you dare change the subject Rachel" I said sternly.

" Oh I'm so sorry I gotta go and don't worry I'll tell Ashley to pick your call" she said then hung up.

I don't want to ruin another phone so I just dropped it on the text and threw the folder I was working on at the wall. Why can't she just tell me what is wrong with the woman she is so infuriating. I was drinking my Scotch trying to calm down when my phone rang hoping it was Rachel who finally came to her senses and called me a picked without looking at the caller ID.

" Spill I don't want any more excuses this time I said.

"Well I got nothing to Spill yet maybe later this night though" Nick said teasingly, I really need to start checking the caller ID before answering now

"What the fuck bro"I said disgusted by his choice of words and I was still mad at him for the bloody nose he gave me at the hospital.

" Well how are you doing without your baby mama there with you" he said still teasing

" How do you know she isn't with me?" I asked confused as to how he found out.

"Well Ashley called me two days ago and let me just say how lucky you are I wish she was carrying my baby would be a dream come true" he said dreamily.

" Not lucky that girl is my karma and I can't believe she called you when she has not been picking my calls" I said angry that everyone except me the father of her child knows where she is.

" Now don't get jealous......." he started but I cut him off.

"Never say I'm jealous it's just my child I'm worried about, I'm also not over the stunt you pulled at the hospital the last time we saw" I said.

"Well I was mad what did you expect me to do? Anyway that is not why I called, I called to tell you to stop hurting the girl. You treat her like trash and that is not acceptable" he said sounding serious.

"I treat her the way she is meant to be treated so stay out of our business" I said angry she told Nick things that go on in my house.

" Now I see why she left the house. Diego for my sake treat her like the Queen she is"he said pleading.

" Whatever, if that is all you want I will hang up now cause I'm getting ready to leave the office" I said still pissed at his behaviour.

"Actually I have one more question. Did you rape Ashley and answer honestly now please" he asked serious

"What the fuck Nick, what sort of question is that?" I yelled shocked at the shit he just spat out.

"Just answer the damn question will you" I said angrily.

"Obviously not" I said

"Are you sure? Can you remember what happened that night clearly" he asked

"No I told you all I remember is her face man. You know I could never rape, what makes you think that,I'm not the monster you think I am" I said disappointed he would ever think that low of me.

"Ashley told me and since you can't remember anything from that night I don't know what to believe Diego" he said sounding confused

" Whatever bye" I said then hung up not ready to listen to any more trash.

When I got home that night I couldn't help but think about what Nick said and started doubting myself.

What the hell am I thinking I couldn't do that to a human being I know I detest females but not that much to ruin them. I cleared my head then wore black sweatpants ready to call Ashley hoping she would pick it.

'Hello this is Miss Brooks how may I help you" another girls voice ran through the phone.

"Get the phone to Ashley" I said. Ashley a guy's on the phone he wants to speak to you she said talking to you.

"Hello please who is this" she said.

"Why are you in Japan? I asked.

"Great it's you, well I'm here to work so please stop with the calls I need to focus" she said.

" Well am I distracting you" I said smirking trying to tease her.

"Excuse me what do you want?" she asked discarding my statement which I'm happy for because I had no idea what to say.

"Yeah sorry how is my child" I asked. What the hell Diego "sorry" seriously.

"The baby is good but I'm working so bye" she said then hung up not waiting for a reply. What the hell is her problem anytime I try to be civil with her she just pisses me off. I need to calm down and the girl is going to drive me crazy soon if I don't start controlling things again. I went to bed after eating dinner tomorrow is another day of finding out how to control the mother of my child and find out what everybody has been trying to keep from me.
