The Start of Soma's Exam

'A girl...? And she's wearing the school uniform.'

'She's the examiner?' Soma thought.

"Any word from the exam division?" Erina asked the lady with the short purple hair.

The purple haired then said; "I'll read it now."

"Examinees will first undergo interviews in groups of ten based on their applications. They will undergo a practicum where they cook three or so dishes. Those who will pass-"

Erina suddenly starts speaking and said "Hmph. How pointless."

She looks at them and smiles. Putting her hands at her chin "I have an idea."

"Bring the kitchen work table here!"

"Y-yes, milady!" said the purple haired lady. After pushing it in front, all of the examinee looks in the front nervously.

Erina picks a egg out of the table and said; "The main ingredient will be the egg. Make one dish. I'll only allow those whose creations impress my palate to transfer into the academy."

All of them are shocked at the same time very nervous.

Erina continues; "Furthermore, I'll allow those who wish to withdraw and cancel their application to do so within the next minute only."

"What? Only one minute?"

"I withdraw."

"Hell nah, I'm out of here."

Then the start of a marathon out of the building happens. Soma who was still shock because he was seeing people running out towards the door. He then stop someone and asked him, it's the same guy who was rough house by Soma earlier.

"Oy, why are you all running?!" Soma asked.

"Y-you dont know who she is?!

"Huh? Nope! Tell me." Soma said with a straight face.

"Nakiri Erina has the finest palate know to mankind! A divine tongue! The God Tongue!"

"Huh?" Soma was hella confuse.

"Human babies typically begin talking between the age of one and two. But her first spoken words, at three months old, were... "not enough depth of flavor". Given the glimpse of her genius already present from birth, she has been asked to serve as the taste tester of famous restaurant nation-wide since a very young age."

'Well, aren't you a monster than me, hahaha.' Rinku was laughing inside his head.

"All the heavyweights in the food world are her clients! Her evaluations spread far and wide in the industry! Should she... Should she brand you as an imbecile without any talent, your career in the food world will be over!" the guy was already being hysterical.

Letting him go, he starts running again, he even fall for a few times before he scatters away.

"Hey, Rinku do you know her?" Soma asked Rinku since he knows so much about things pertaining about food and the food world.

"Well, I know her, kind of?" Rinku said.

At the same time, in the front, Erina said something; "I figured most of them were hopelessly incompetents."

"I can't be bothered to waste my time on such fools."

Erina looks at the girl with the purple hair and asked; "I believed I've cleared my schedule for the day?"

"Er, yes!"

"I will now test my new dishes in my private quarters."

For some reason the purple haired girl suddenly became expectant when she heard Erina's new dishes.

"What's the matter, Hisako? You look... like you want something" Erina asked Hisako. Lifting her chin up closing to her face.

Rinku almost thought that they where flirting, and he expected some yuri play.

The atmosphere was broken when Soma asked them; "Hey, so are there no other restrictions on the dish?"

Shocked from Soma's question, since they didn't expect someone willingly do the test with Erina's presence.

"As long as you use eggs, you can make anything you want. But are you sure you want to do this? You should withdraw while you-"

She was stop when Soma suddenly pats Erina's shoulder saying; "Oh, I was really worried! I though you might fail me before I could cook!"

Soma's hand still in the shoulder of Erina, Hisako suddenly shouts "Back away!"

Rinku was laughing at their comedic skit show at the side without them noticing him. Hisako explains who was Erina and how important she is to Soma. Erina asked if his really going to take her test but Soma was occupied at a knife he found.

Soma suddenly handles a knife and throw it high while it's spinning and saying; "I just have to make you say it's tastes good, right?" The knife was still mid air and falls but Soma catches it with ease without even looking and continued saying "Of course I'll take the test.

While Soma was looking at the ingredients on the table, Erina looks at the application form of Soma.

"Oi, Soma don't do that stunt again, if big sis Tamako see you doing that kind of thing, she will kill you and me when she finds about the way you wield that knife while I'm also with you. Do it when I'm not here." suddenly someone talks which surprised the two ladies.

They look at where the voice came from and find Rinku who was smiling at them at the corner of the room.

"Eh, just don't tell mother." Soma said, still picking his ingredients.

"Of course or else I too will get dragged with you." Rinku rolls his eyes.

Not noticing that there other people here, Erina and Hisako looked at him surprisingly, Erina asked; "You, who are you? Are you another examinee?"

Rinku pointing at himself and said; "Me? Oh, no. Sure I know how to cook but eating is my thing not cooking."

"Tch, liar." Soma said in the sideline.

"Oi!"

Looking at the two idiots, Erina was curious who he is so she asked.

"You, what's your name?"

"My name? I'm Rinku Izumi."

Hisako suddenly have a thought when he heard the name.

"Wait I think I heard that name before."

"Oh, you know me lady? I'm very flattered." Rinku acting shyly.

"Well... forgot about that. Soma start cooking and make me one too, got it?"

Soma smiles confidently and said; "I'll be happy to serve you our specialty! Hang onto your seat, examiner Nakiri." Then he starts to cook.

"Ey, what about me? Rinku asked.

"Shut up, I'll also make yours too so just wait."

"You could just say sure, why the attitude." Rinku teased but Soma just put it on like he didn't hear anything.

Erina observe Soma, while Hisako was still thinking where did she heard the name of Rinku, while Rinku was patiently waiting for Soma to finished cooking his meal.
