Confrontations & Confessions

Audrey watched the surprise on Alpha Lake's face and realized that she wasn't the only one who had been blown off by the unfolding situation.

"Hey, chipmunk, you've grown bigger, and who the hell mated you?" Mark asked protectively.

"That's enough! Both of you!" Audrey went and grabbed Maria's arm, dragging her away from Mark and into the living room.

Maria wanted to whine but suddenly realized the situation, she understood that she'd just landed herself into a big problem with Audrey and the Alpha.

She had been carried away and didn't think about the aftermath. She understood why Audrey would be angry; if it were her, she'd feel angry and betrayed, too.

"Sit!" Audrey pushed Maria down on the sofa and glared at her before turning to Mark who was now standing beside her with a little smile on his lips.

"Hi, Catherine, or, is it Audrey now?" Mark asked, looking at her hair and her face.
