When Yan Xiu woke up, the sky was only dimly lit. Yan Xiu yawned before he left the bed and got ready. Out of the house, Yan Xiu saw Bai Yuan still sleeping.

He first went to check and feed the chickens and pigs, there were some eggs today. He cleaned the eggs before placing them in the kitchen. Yan Xiu then gave the chickens and pigs some green water before checking the Bananut and bamboo.

The Bananut was still the same as yesterday, with no abnormal color change or wilting leaves. It was a good sign. Yan Xiu touched the tree, the tree was healthy and the root was growing. It had adapted to the new soil, Yan Xiu could now rest easy and took care of the tree while waiting for the harvest.

The bamboo was in better condition than the Bananut, the root already spreading and new bamboo shoots were growing. Yan Xiu was surprised but then he remembered his father said that bamboo was quick to grow and some breeds could even grow to a whole forest. He wondered if the one in front of him was like that.

Recalling where it used to grow, it didn't seem to spread that much, so Yan Xiu thought it should be fine. Yan Xiu watered them with green water, including the Glass Lime. Now the Glass Lime had grown a little taller. Done with his chores, Yan Xiu then cultivated. By the time Yan Xiu was done, the sun had risen and the sky was bright.

He went to the kitchen to make breakfast. He was in the mood for noodles this morning. He took some dried noodles, just enough for the two of them. He took a big pot, filled it with water, and boiled it. Waiting for the water to boil, he diced some garlic, shallots, green onion, tomato, and cabbage. He also took out five eggs and set them aside.

When the water boiled, he put the noodles in. He took out a big pan and heated some oil. He cut pork meat into strips, sprinkled salt on it, and fried it. When it was done he put it aside. The noodles were soon ready, he took them out and put them in a large bowl.

Using the same pan as before, he reused some oil from frying the pork and heated it again. When it was hot, he threw the diced garlic and shallots. He fried them a little till the fragrant came out and cracked the eggs over it. He gave it some salt and scrambled it. When the scrambled egg was done, he lowered the heat and poured in the noodles.

He seasoned the noodles with salt, pepper, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. He added in a little bit more pork oil and turned up the heat to high. He mixed the noodles so the seasoning applied evenly. When it was half done, he poured the rest of the diced vegetables and fried pork strips in. Yan Xiu carefully mixed them again.

Done, he poured the noodles into two separate bowls. Bai Yuan had a bigger portion. Two small mountains of golden brown noodles with plenty of vegetables and meat, the smell of sesame was amazing. Yan Xiu was about to call Bai Yuan when he suddenly went in and sat at the table looking at his bowl of noodles.

Yan Xiu laughed and sat on the table too.

Yan Xiu blew at it a little before slurping the noodle. The noodles were firm and the smell of both oyster and sesame, there was also the taste of the diced vegetables. Hmm, delicious. Yan Xiu picked up a piece of meat and ate it. The sweet taste of the pork enhanced the already delicious noodles.

I like it a bit more spicy as he thought that Yan Xiu poured some chili sauce onto the noodles and mixed it. The added spicy taste was also tasty.

Bai Yuan leaned back and burped, patting his full stomach. Yan Xiu smiled and cleaned the table, then he wore his weapon belt.

"Xiao Yuan, let's go." (YX)

Yan Xiu hopped and sat on Bai Yuan's shoulder, the two then went to the village. It was still early, so the two went to Granny Shen's home. Yan Xiu wanted to ask the tips on planting medicinal plants and he still needed to give Granny Shen his green water. When they arrived, Granny Shen was sweeping in front of her house.

"Granny, good morning!" (YX)

"Morning, you two." (GS)

Granny Shen smiled and invited the two inside, Yan Xiu went to the garden and showered the whole garden with his green water.

"Oh, your skill has improved." (GS)

"Hehe." (YX)

Yan Xiu smiled bashfully.

"Granny just about to cook breakfast, you want some?" (GS)

"No, we already ate. Granny, can I ask something?" (YX)

"What is it, sonny?" (GS)

"Do you have any tips on raising medicinal plants?" (YX)

"Medicinal plants?" (GS)

Granny Shen was a little surprised.

"My garden is empty and the seniors promised to give me some medicinal plant seeds, so I thought I asked some tips from Granny first." (YX)
