Harry Potter: The Boy Who Eats[COMPLETE]

How bad can life be? For Happy Lestrange, an ordinary boy from an ordinary world, after being diagnosed with stomach cancer at three, the hospital became his permanent home. As a result, he never got to make friends, never got to play, run, swim, and worst of all—eat. His only respite to his boredom was various novels, movies, manga, and comics. But one of them stood above all others: Harry Potter. He was always interested in its lore and slowly fell in love with everything about the Wizarding World. But the thing he envied the most was not the magic but rather the Hogwarts feasts. So, with no cure in sight, at the age of 15, in a coma, he was put to eternal sleep. But that was not the end of the journey for Happy. "Speak, young child, what do you desire? Heaven, or reincarnation?" "Grandpa God, I want to go to Hogwarts and eat lots of tasty food!" "..." "Child, are you sure?" "YES!" "Young child, I bless you with luck. So go, taste the food, and experience all the mouthwatering scents! Go and eat to your heart's content." And so began the journey of the boy who eats. But, there was a surprise for Happy. One that could also be a curse if used unwisely. In a world so dark, and hurdles in his way plenty, can he overcome them and be...Happy? ___________________ WARNING: I write wholesome, Slice of Life stories where a greater and more serious plot is slowly expanded as the story goes. "Holy shi… It's an empty plate!" Happy exclaimed and swung his wand. "Riddikulus!"

Ting!

The sound of a microwave came, and out of nowhere, a mountain of food appeared on the empty plate. It was filled with meatballs, steak, french fries, and a glass of Coke, the drink.

"..."

There was no cheer, however. Nobody could fathom how on earth someone could be frightened by the absence of food. Sadly, they didn't know the anguish of being tied to a bed for almost a decade and not being able to eat anything but thin, liquid medicine.

"That was… a very strange but understandable Boggart, Happy." Remus Lupin was in awe of Happy's invulnerability. The boy was built like a Protego shield. Slapped a dementor and fought a Basilisk, so a Boggart was something insignificant. He couldn't help but get Dumbledore-like vibes from Happy because the old man seemed whimsical at times while hiding his real fears inside.

Satisfied, Happy stepped aside and let the others take their turn. Ron followed, whose fear was a giant spider, and then came Hermione, different from what Happy knew.

Interestingly, her fear was McGonagall telling her that she failed all her exams and was expelled from school. However, her Riddikulus charm changed it to her receiving top marks and being the best student of the year.

Sadly for her, that only intensified her reputation as Miss-Know-It-All, a bookworm who only cares about her grades.

Slowly, the students took their turns, and Happy dragged Draco to the front since no Buckbeak accident happened. His arm was unharmed this time, and he had no excuse. Happy had to do it before Harry came with his fear of… Wait!

'I smacked the Dementor away. It was more of a comedy scene than a frightening experience for Harry. In that case, will his Boggart be Voldemort? Does he even remember?' Happy wondered and shoved Draco towards the forefront.

Woosh!

The Boggart changed its shape and took the form of Lucius Malfoy, looking as majestic as ever. He approached Draco and looked down at him. "I'm disappointed. From now, you are officially removed from my family name… leave, waste."

"..."

Happy expected that much, but not the others. It was embarrassing, and Draco even forgot to wave his wand to cast the spell.

"Riddikulus!" Happy flicked his wand and made Lucius look like a blonde bombshell with a figure to die for.

"YEAH!" The boy roared in delight.

"Draco's father is hot!" Dean Thomas roared with no shame at all.

Draco was simply traumatized and walked to the side. But instead of getting angry at Happy, he thanked him. "I… I froze… thanks."

'So much fear? Best time for me to reel him in!' Happy gave him a chocolate.

"It's alright. Everyone has different fears, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. To be honest, you can manipulate your mind to change the Boggart, just like I did," Happy revealed, shocking Draco.

"That was fake?"

"Hah, you really think I'm scared of empty plates?" Happy chuckled. "But, if you want to do what I did, you first need to confront your true fear and conquer it. If it's your father, it's super easy. Just show him you're very capable of earning tons of money. I did offer you a job before… it's still available." Happy said, directly inviting Draco to join him and become a rich boy.

Draco looked up at Happy's face. A sense of trust slowly developed, and he recalled everything he heard between his father and mother. Happy was bound to be a big name in the future, and the Malfoys had always developed by attaching themselves to big names.

"How? What do you even do?" Malfoy asked.

Happy smirked. "Nothing much… Just run a chain of stores with almost a hundred branches all over the world. You must have heard about the Anything Store—I am its owner. If you agree, I can make you the General Manager of the company. All you will need to do is calculate the money earned, reduce expenses, manage salaries, and maximize profits."

Happy was basically giving him a desk job with no meaning but a big title, common in corporate companies. He just wanted Draco to feel important and needed. At the same time, the lure of wealth and desk work would keep him occupied, away from negative influences.

"Get back, Lestrange!"

All of a sudden, Draco's gang came, and Pansy pushed Happy aside to look at Draco carefully.

Happy smiled. "Ah, Parkinson… How are you?"

She flushed with anger and jumped. "Stop! Stop calling me that… Because of you, now I hate my name. I didn't need to know about that disease."

Happy smirked. "Ah, that reminds me... Your first name also rhymes with something. By your expressions, I sense you know what I mean, Crabbe and Goyle."

The two chubby boys tried to suck in their lips and hold back their laughter.

Happy smirked. "Panty?"

"Bahahaha!" The two chubby boys couldn't contain themselves.

Happy wasn't done. "Hmm… Panty with Parkinson's disease?"

"Pfft…"

The black-haired girl was blazing red by then. "How dare you! You're shaming an ancient house!"

"What are you gonna do? Cry to your father? Miss Parkinson, know that I am kind to those who treat me well, but quite petty with those who bother me." Happy moved closer to her face, staring into her eyes with seriousness to show dominance. "At the end of the day, it seems you're forgetting I'm a Lestrange. Are you sure you want to maintain that attitude with me?"

She gulped and stepped back a little, quickly lowering her head to avoid his gaze. Never in her life had she felt that small and powerless. Never before had someone given her a reality check.

Meanwhile, in Malfoy's eyes, Happy's brief display was the most marvelous and admirable demeanor he had witnessed from another pureblood. It almost reminded him of his father—strong, confident, and fearsome.

"I will join you," Draco rose to his feet and extended his hand. "I will try to prove it to my father."

Happy happily shook Draco's hand. His master plan was coming full circle. Lucius was going to be under his thumb, with the man's resources under his possession, and at the same time, Draco would soon become a happy loyalist.

"Woooh!"

All of a sudden, a gasp resonated from behind. Happy turned and saw it was The Boy Who Lived, seeing his Boggart turn into The Man Who Died. Yes, it turned into Professor Quirrell's hideous back-of-the-head—the rotten face of Voldemort came into view, screaming and growling at Harry.

Harry stood frozen in place, unable to move. This experience felt different from his first year. Back then, he was ignorant and didn't even understand what the thing was. But now, he understood this was what killed his parents. Linking it to the escaped Sirius, his mind went into a frenzy of mixed thoughts.

"Riddikulus!" Lupin flicked his wand, and an apple pie appeared out of thin air, slamming onto the rotten face.

Thankfully, the experience didn't leave Harry shaken, and the class concluded as usual; everyone had the chance to confront their fears through the Boggart. Happy, on the other hand, cursed himself.

'Fricking Fudge! I shouldn't have slapped that Dementor. Now he's not scared of that thing and won't ask Lupin for the Patronus Charm. Will that quidditch Dementor still attack? Ugh… this messes things up. Peter is already under my control. The fool has no idea his new collar isn't just a tracker but also an anti-animagus tool. I can easily solve the Sirius problem later too… But what about Lupin? It's important for him to drink the wolfsbane that day… Wait a second; I can just be in the shack that night and remind him it's a full moon before he goes out.'

Happy felt his head heating up just from that much planning. 'I still have my luck with me. With how it's working great for me, it should all be alright.'

"Happy… Happy? Hey!"

Happy suddenly snapped back to reality and glanced around. "Yeah? Yes?"

"Let's go. The class is over." Ron nudged him.

Happy silently followed behind. 'Ugh… Frick it. I'll deal with things as they come. Too much planning had ruined it anyway.'

It was evening already, and Happy spent his leisure time eating some noodles that evening since the elves had learned the dishes by now. Since they were responsible for the menu, they started to experiment every now and then, all because of Happy.

But when the night fell, and everyone returned to their dorms, Happy opened the letter that had been sitting in his bag for a while now. Chris handed it to him while leaving. Apparently, it was from some school in Rwanda, as evident by the stamp.

"What is this now?" He wondered and reclined against the big pillow. The dorm room was dark. Harry and Ron were already asleep, so he used the simple Lumos Charm to read it.

"Meow?" Koko raised his little head upon being disturbed.

Happy quickly tucked him back in and opened the letter. "From the Principal? Dear Mr. CEO…"

[Dear Mr. CEO

Sir,

I am Gasimba Ingabire, the Principal of small school in North Rwanda. My school is same as orphanage. Children come and go—they arrive in poor conditions, and leave with angry minds, for we have nothing to offer but shelter and dirty water.

Those who can work with their little bodies leave, and those very young remain behind—cursed, I must say. Thin, hungry beyond belief, and without love, before they can grow, most die. But no more… food that came from your company save lives and gave these children a chase to see their future.

I do not know you, I only saw the address on the rice sacks and sent this letter to thank you from the bottom of my heart. This letter maybe never reach you, but I hope you know that you saved 300 young lives.

Thank you,

Gasimba Ingabire

Angara Children's School]

Happy folded the letter and turned off the Lumos Charm, settling down.

'Happy making people Happy?' He thought in his head.

"Doesn't sound bad..."
