Harry Potter: Journey to Godhood

Follow Alaric in his journey to be the strongest wizard out there by hook or by crook. This is the story of a guy who went to a different world to get power and to find new relationships in his life. Read how he fights off Voldemort in process becoming the leader of new generation of wizards and builds up his new life with his new friends, family and wife. A story of a wizard using his wisdom and power to ascend to the pinnacle of the world, who will do anything to protect his new family. This is a little slow paced and also somewhat slice of life story so keep that in mind, that focuses more on Alaric's relationship. There will be heavy changes to the original plot so be aware and also MC becomes overpowered rather quickly as the story moves forward and he won't hesitate to take some drastic measures if necessary, so he won't have a moral compass. Chapter 389: Time Travel

According to the original plan, Alaric intended to enter this world thousands or even tens of thousands of years before the First Year of the Dark Portal.

In that era, there were no elves or humans; the mortal races had yet to establish any civilization. The rulers of Azeroth were the Aspect Dragons and the creations of the Titans.

The Titans are one of the apex beings in the world of Warcraft. They were once the souls of planets and, upon awakening, formed the "Pantheon" to embark on their journey of creation.

After visiting Azeroth, the Titans discovered that this planet also had immature world souls. Thus, they established numerous laboratories here, creating servants to do their bidding.

However, when the Titans left Azeroth and returned, they were astonished to find that the planet had been overtaken by a group of extraordinarily powerful parasitic beings known as the Old Gods.

To prevent their kind from being corrupted, the Titans sealed the Old Gods and selected a few of the servants they created to become the guardians of the world, and then they departed.

Alaric had originally chosen the time just after the Titans left.

Generally speaking, arcane magic comes from the planet itself, and the Titans represent the pinnacle of arcane magic.

Clearly, Alaric's own strength could not compete with that of the Titans. If discovered by them, as a flesh-and-blood being and a visitor from another world, he would likely be seen as an anomaly.

After all, at that time, all humanoid beings aside from the Titans were their creations, which were made of stone, earth, and steel.

Alaric's flesh-and-blood form meant he was either a servant of the Old Gods or under the "Curse of Flesh"—humans, dwarves, and gnomes in Azeroth were formed from the Titan creations afflicted by this curse.

Moreover, with Alaric's draconic powers and otherworldly magic, he would stand out to the Titans like a beacon of golden light.

To avoid capture by the Titans, Alaric had no choice but to escape and give up on this world: who knows if the Titans would have left any traps targeting him?

After all, the Titans' seal on the Old Gods had been in place for almost a million years.

Compared to the Titans, Alaric felt the Guardians would be easier to deal with.

His original plan was to absorb the wisdom left behind in the Titans' ruins while allowing his three dragons to gain opportunities for growth in this era.

He was almost successful.

His three female dragons—golden dragon Talonixa, red dragon Alexstrasza, and green dragon Ysera—did not disappoint him.

This world seemed to be even more suited for their growth than that of Game of Thrones. Soon, they became leaders among the progenitor dragons (another term for the Aspect Dragons) thanks to their strength and wisdom far surpassing that of ordinary progenitor dragons.

Especially Talonixa, the eldest sister, could be considered the most powerful "progenitor dragon," second only to the later-renowned "Father of Dragons," Galakrond, whose size was hundreds of times that of ordinary dragons.

Thus, they had the chance to replace the historical figures of Talonixa, Alexstrasza, and Ysera, seizing opportunities to become the guardians of this planet—the Guardian Dragons.

Furthermore, with her intelligence and Alaric's support, Talonixa could completely change the fate of her historical counterpart, who met an untimely demise, and become the sixth Guardian Dragon, a position that never existed in history.

Meanwhile, Alaric, through continuous exploration, discovered the locations of various laboratories left by the Titans, preparing to unlock their mechanisms and enter the labs.

Perhaps due to Alaric's precisely timed arrival, as the new generation of progenitor dragons grew, the other guardians among the Aspect Dragons—Nozdormu, Malygos, and Neltharion—gradually rose to prominence, becoming outstanding progenitor dragons.

Their names began to circulate among the progenitor dragons.

In contrast, the original Talonixa, Alexstrasza, and Ysera may not have shown their talents due to the presence of excellent leaders among their species.

In short, as all the progenitor dragons gathered, their fate began to unfold.

As in history, one of the guardians left by the Titans, the King of Order, Tyr, noticed the anomalies surrounding Galakrond.

This progenitor dragon evolved by devouring its kin and their corpses. Its unusual physique, the eyes and limbs that sprouted from its body, and the undead dragons it spawned all indicated that this creature had embarked on a wrong evolutionary path—the path of the Old Gods.

Tyr hoped his colleagues would join him, but the other guardians believed their task was to guard the Old Gods and maintain the Titans' laboratories, and they should not interfere in the conflicts of the Azeroth natives.

Thus, as in original history, Tyr selected Talonixa, Alexstrasza, Ysera, Nozdormu, Malygos, and Neltharion among the progenitor dragons to fight against Galakrond.

In the decisive battle, Tyr unfortunately lost his right hand, but the six progenitor dragons worked together to defeat Galakrond, who was thousands of times larger than them.

Moreover, Talonixa did not repeat the fate of her historical counterpart; she did not recklessly seek a confrontation and was thus able to survive.

In short, they became the saviors of this world.

Only at this point did the Titans' created guardians realize everything. They felt guilty for failing to fulfill their duty of protecting the world.

Thus, they summoned the phantoms of their creators and bestowed power upon the six dragons.

Among the primordial Titans, the Father of the Gods, Aman'Thul, granted Nozdormu the blessing of mastering time.

The guardian of order, Eonar, endowed Alexstrasza with the power to create life and granted Ysera the ability to wield nature and govern the Emerald Dream.

The guardian of magic and knowledge, Norgannon, bestowed Malygos with earth-shaking arcane power.

The world shaper and architect, Khaz Modan, granted Neltharion the strength of the earth.

The ultimate event that transpired was one that did not occur in the original history: the Lord of the Skies and Storms, Golganneth, granted Talonixa the powers of the sky and thunder.

From that moment on, the six Guardian Dragons—Talonixa, the Sovereign of the Sky; Alexstrasza, the Life-Binder; Ysera, the Dreamer; Nozdormu, the Eternal; Malygos, the Spellweaver; and Neltharion, the Earth-Warder—received blessings from the Titans and gained the responsibility of protecting the world.

At the same time, they shed their progenitor dragon forms and, under the energy of the Pantheon, became true dragons of majestic beauty.

Next, the Titans' guardians cast spells to transform hundreds of unhatched progenitor dragon eggs, which would give rise to new species akin to the Dragon Kings.

This new race of dragons, called the Dragonkin, would later form six distinct clans: the Gold Dragons, Bronze Dragons, Red Dragons, Green Dragons, Blue Dragons, and Black Dragons.

These dragons would serve as subordinates, companions, and allies of the Dragon Kings to aid in the defense of Azeroth.

However, compared to Nozdormu, Malygos, and Neltharion, Talonixa, Alexstrasza, and Ysera did not need mates; they possessed traits derived from the Game of Thrones world, allowing them to independently lay eggs capable of growing into dragons. Moreover, they had someone else in mind as their ideal partners.

However, just as everything was about to be accomplished, an unexpected event occurred.

During the battle against Galakrond, Alaric, who was constantly observing to prevent any mishaps with the three female dragons, did not leave when the guardians summoned the Titans' phantoms.

After all, these were merely phantoms, while the real Titans were far away in another realm, and he wished to catch a glimpse of their true forms.

However, he underestimated the Titans' abilities.

As the ritual neared its conclusion, Norgannon, the most powerful mage among the Titans, keenly sensed Alaric—this flesh-and-blood being who did not belong to the progenitor dragons or the creations of the Titans.

Startled, Alaric immediately activated his emergency escape measures: using the time-space portal to leave that moment in time and head to the future of this dimension.

During his time travel, he tried several times to re-enter this world, but each time, for unknown reasons, he was repelled by the world—through the War of the Ancients, the Highborne's exodus, the resistance against the Amani Troll Empire…

Finally, it wasn't until the First Year of the Dark Portal that he successfully returned to Azeroth once again.

Then, he arrived in Dalaran, until today.
