Harry Potter: Journey to Godhood

Follow Alaric in his journey to be the strongest wizard out there by hook or by crook. This is the story of a guy who went to a different world to get power and to find new relationships in his life. Read how he fights off Voldemort in process becoming the leader of new generation of wizards and builds up his new life with his new friends, family and wife. A story of a wizard using his wisdom and power to ascend to the pinnacle of the world, who will do anything to protect his new family. This is a little slow paced and also somewhat slice of life story so keep that in mind, that focuses more on Alaric's relationship. There will be heavy changes to the original plot so be aware and also MC becomes overpowered rather quickly as the story moves forward and he won't hesitate to take some drastic measures if necessary, so he won't have a moral compass. Chapter 230: Death Eaters and the Dragon

Having promised to escort the little girl to find Beauxbatons' staff and students, Alaric took hold of her hand and began searching around.

However, not long after they started walking, the little girl started complaining.

"Wuwuwu, big brother, I can't walk anymore."

Alaric turned to look and saw Gabrielle tearfully looking at him, her eyes filled with expectation.

"Brother, please, please help me." The girl grabbed Alaric's hand with both of hers and pleaded as she shook it.

Looking at Gabrielle's adorable face and her pitiful gaze, Alaric found himself unable to refuse.

So, he crouched down and signaled for Gabrielle to climb onto his back.

"Thank you, big brother." Gabrielle happily jumped onto Alaric's back and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Alaric supported her small bottom with his hands and lifted her up.

However, the girl didn't find anything wrong with it; instead, she leaned her whole body against Alaric's back.

After a while, Alaric suppressed the initial anger stirred up by the Death Eaters and continued walking back and forth in the crowd.

Seeing the group of Death Eaters in their black robes, Alaric intentionally avoided them.

Firstly, he didn't want to provoke this group for the time being.

Although he wasn't afraid of Death Eaters, dealing with them was troublesome, like dealing with sticky dog poop.

Secondly, Alaric believed that Madame Maxime, leading the Beauxbatons staff and students, would definitely not head in the direction where Death Eaters were.

For the safety of Beauxbatons' students, Madame Maxime would surely lead them to a safer place.

Apart from Death Eater sympathizers, those who would stupidly run toward Death Eaters would be the Ministry of Magic employees who wanted to deal with this troublesome batch.

However, sometimes trouble finds you even when you're not looking for it.

During the original procession, Alaric was suddenly recognized.

"Look! It's Alaric!" A Death Eater pointed at Alaric and shouted loudly, "That famous mudblood!"

Death Eaters were all followers of Voldemort, fanatical pure-blood supremacists.

One of their goals was to purify the wizarding race, restoring pure-blood wizards to dominance. Wizards like Alaric and Hermione, who were Muggle-born, were objects of their hostility.

Especially Alaric, not only was he Muggle-born, but he also had achievements.

This was like a vivid example, telling these pure-blood wizards that their theories were wrong.

None of the pure-blood wizards were as capable as this Muggle-born wizard. They were just a bunch of waste.

So for these pure-blood supremacists, Alaric was a thorn in their side, a constant reminder of their flawed beliefs.

But Alaric himself was too powerful.

At least Alaric had killed a snake monster. And the battle of the Ministry of Magic made these pure-blood wizards never dare to provoke Alaric. They had to respect him from a distance.

However, now that they have gathered together, they have gathered together.

This gave them some courage, making them feel like they were strong enough, daring to stand opposite Alaric and provoke him.

"That dirty mudblood, the Ministry of Magic actually awarded him a medal!" someone shouted from the crowd.

"His existence is a disgrace to the wizarding world!" someone else said loudly.

"Kneel down! Alaric!" The leader of the Death Eaters shouted at Alaric, "Kneel down and surrender to us, and we will spare your life!"

"Is that so? You servants of Voldemort, thinking you're huge in number, you dare to bark in front of a dragon?" Alaric sneered at them and said coldly.

"He said we're servants!" someone exclaimed loudly.

"He even calls himself a dragon!" another person added.

"He's really arrogant. Kill him!"

The Death Eaters were furious, these self-proclaimed noble guys gathered together as if they were invincible, insulting Alaric, feeling embarrassed and angry.

"Let's kill him together."

Several leading Death Eaters were obviously somewhat wary of Alaric, but they still gave such orders.

"Killing a few Muggles is nothing, we need to kill this famous mudblood here, this is for the whole magical world. The best warning."

So the Death Eaters pointed their wands at Alaric one after another.

"Feel honored, kid. Your body will serve as a declaration of our return. Now pray to Merlin to be reborn as a wizard in your next life!"

"Big brother, I'm scared," behind Alaric, Gabrielle was already tearful, clinging tightly to Alaric.

"Don't be afraid, Gabrielle," Alaric comforted softly, "Hold on to my neck, close your eyes, and it will all be over soon."

The next moment, the wands of the Death Eaters shot out colorful magic like a volley of rifles, magic like rain. It flew towards Alaric.

Gabrielle had already closed her eyes in despair.

"Bang! Bang!"

The curses submerged everything around Alaric, various kinds of curses. Tearing everything around him, explosions and smoke filled the air.

"We killed him!"

"That mudblood, we blew him to pieces!"

"He's just like other mudbloods, pretends to be powerful, but in front of our might he died in a pathetic way.!"

The Death Eaters laughed arrogantly, the head Death Eater laughed the happiest, because they thought, at Hogwarts Alaric, as a wizard of the Muggle family, naturally opposed them.

Alaric being able to stand with Dumbledore was a major concern for them, but now that the major threat was eliminated, they all felt great relief.

They believed that their master would reward them for this after his resurrection.

However, when the smoke cleared, they discovered that everything was not as simple as they imagined.

Because a giant beast almost ten meters long appeared behind the smoke.

This giant beast was majestic and elegant, with diamond-like scales all over its body, a pair of broad wings on its back, and its long tail swaying from side to side.

"Ha...it's a dragon!"

"Dragon! He turned into a dragon!"

"The rumors were true, his Animagus is really a dragon."

The Death Eaters were already panicking.

Under their siege, this terrifying giant beast appeared directly in front of them unharmed, making them feel deep fear.

Facing a wizard was completely different from facing a Dragon.

They felt that although a wizard might be more powerful than Dragon, but Dragon's huge body, sharp claws and terrifying power gave it a huge advantage, as they can completely overwhelm the timid wizard.

In fact, this group of Death Eaters could no longer stand against Alaric's power and they were getting desperate with time.
