You will probably be disheartened by these news, but I am dropping this story. You may have noticed that the quality of recent chapters has been going down (at least I think so) and that is because for quite some time now I have been forcing myself to release chapters.
For weeks, if not months, whenever I wrote chapters, my primary concern was not really to write something compelling, but to fill the word count, because that was what this story had led to. The reason for that, I believe, is the beginning of this story, which is weak. I wrote the 30 first chapters a couple of years ago, but dropped it and did not release it because I was not satisfied with it.
Recently though, I read it again and decided to give it a shot, and it became this story. I do not exactly regret picking it up, I still had fun writing this story, be it the first year or the Egypt arc. However, writing chapters has been draining recently. I thought two weeks of vacation off the story would help, but it hardly changed anything.
It is a shame since I think this story had potential. I even had most of the story planned, one that would have extended well past Hogwarts (although people seem not to like that), but while I knew exactly where I was headed, writing the chapters to get there felt like a chore.
Anyway, thanks for reading the story faithfully, and your support all along. I'd probably have dropped much sooner without your support.
I don't know when my next project will be, and I'll soon be starting a Master's Degree so I don't know if I will have much time to write, but I still love writing, so I will definitely come back with another project sometime. Might be next week, might be next summer, I can't say for sure.
