"Incendio! Praefocum!"
Thick flames covered a Death Eater's body, completely obscuring any of his features. He was just a man-shaped bonfire.
And one of Malgino's man's clothes started to chock him.
They let out a few strangled screams before both of them grew silent, fell to the ground, twitching and rolling before finally going still.
For a moment no one seemed to know what had happened then Malgino turned to Chris with a cruel smile on his face. He looked surprised and impressed at the same time.
Chris didn't stop to see anyone's reaction. As the other Malgino's man standing near them raised his wand Chris burned him down too. But before she could kill anyone else, Stormy angrily waved her wand and Chris went flying backwards and hit a desk.
Harry and their friends were too shocked to do anything but as Chris went flying they came back to themselves and started blocking and dodging the spells coming from the Death Eaters' and Malgino's people.
Chris got up as fast as she could and saw Stormy standing over her. They glared at each other.
"You —" Chris spat and sent a few spells at her.
Stormy blocked them.
Then, high above them, two more doors burst open and six more people sprinted into the room: Sirius, Aurelia, Lupin, Moody, Tonks, and Kingsley.
Stormy looked at them but didn't show any signs of frustration, which she should have (Chris thought).
Everyone was momentarily surprised by the appearance of the members of the Order, who were now raining spells down upon the Death Eaters and Malgino's army as they jumped from step to step toward the sunken floor.
Stormy jump aside and joined the fight. Chris wanted to fight and kill so bad that she almost ran after her when Harry, Luna and Jason pulled her back.
"Let them handle it," said Jason dragging her away.
"No, let me go," said Chris angrily.
"Chris, stop," said Luna softly. "The Order is here. Everything will be fine."
"Nothing will be fine. Didn't you see they killed Mrs. Tonks and they laughed," said Chris viciously. "They laughed, Luna."
"Chris, are you okay?" said Harry then turned to Ginny. "What's going on? Is she okay? Why is she acting like this?"
"I don't know," said Ginny looking worried.
"Chris," Colin said fearfully. "This is not like you. You are not acting normal."
Chris was about to snap but then a crashing sound made her look at the battle going on down. Her eyes met Malgino and he smirked then disappeared with Stormy.
Chris looked back at her friends and the first time noticed the fear and concerns on their face. And it hit her what she had done. Why her friends were looking at her like that? Why Malgino was surprised yet happy? She had just killed three people.
The anger on Chris' face turned into surprise. She slumped against the black wall. But before she could think about what she felt, a hand seized Harry around the neck and pulled him upright so that his toes were barely touching the floor.
"Give it to me," growled a voice in his ear, "give me the prophecy —"
Ginny gasped but before anyone could use a spell, Harry did something which surprised everyone. He clasped the Prophecy and smashed it on the Death Eaters' head. He staggered back holding his head as it started to bleed. Neville pushed him down the stairs.
They all stared at Harry.
"I did not see that coming," responded Jason first.
"Harry, you —" began Ginny.
"I was getting tired of it," said Harry impatiently. "Also I don't need it and if Voldemort does need it then I should have smashed it a long time ago."
"Cool," said Colin, looking not-so-sure what to say.
"Thanks!" Harry said to Neville, pulling him aside as Sirius and his Death Eater lurched past, duelling so fiercely that their wands were blurs.
Just then two Death Eaters tried to grab Harry and Ginny but out of nowhere Aurelia came and sent one of them flying out of the way. The other one Dolohov started duelling with Aurelia, their wands flashing like swords, sparks flying from their wand tips —
Dolohov drew back his wand to make a slashing movement.
Springing up, Harry yelled, "Petrificus Totalus!" Dolohov's arms and legs snapped together and he keeled over backwards, landing with a crash on his back.
"Good one," Aurelia smiled at Harry.
"Thanks," said Harry.
"But you all should —" Aurelia stopped in mid-sentence as two sparks of red lights flashed past them and they saw Tonks fall from halfway up the stone steps, her limp form toppling from stone seat to stone seat, and Bellatrix, triumphant, running back toward the fray.
"That bitch!" growled Aurelia. "Listen, get out of here. I have to stop Bellatrix before she harms anyone else. Out all of you, now."
She shouted the last words as she ran after Bellatrix.
Another green light flashed over their heads as Mad-Eye dodged two men's attack. Jason suddenly looked alert.
"Come on, we need to go," he almost dragged Chris to her feet. "Come on."
Harry and Ron heaved Hermione's body up, Neville supported Colin, Luna held Ginny as they started to make their way out.
Chris and Jason were in the lead. As they climbed another step —
A spell hit the stone bench at Jason's heel. It crumbled away and he fell back to the step below. Chris was about to fall to but someone grabbed her by the hair.
"Arghh. . ." Chris struggled and tried to cast a spell but hesitated. She had killed people just know, no matter who they were, she had killed them. That makes her a murderer.
Her hesitation made the person laugh, who had captured her. Chris looked up and saw Ethan. Everything seemed to slow down. Ethan pointed his wand at Chris' head and opened his mouth. Chris knew what was coming next. Now, even if she cast a spell it will be too late. She was going to die. But then —
Ethan was blasted off, his body went flying all the way to another side of the room and hit the wall hard. Chris dropped to her knees and looked up to see who saved her.
Directly above them, framed in the doorway from the Brain Room, stood Albus Dumbledore, his wand aloft, his face white and furious.
