Chapter 62: Master Tailor

Harvey left with the money, asking for us to wait here for a while.

"That was an excellent negotiation, Master," Sherry praises me with admiring eyes. 

"Everyone can't help but lower the price after noticing Master's brilliance," Roxanne adds happily. 

I just smile wryly at their complements, still 40% off almost feels like robbing!

After a while, Harvey returns with Lillia, Anastasia and Miria.

All three of them are standing silently in a line. Lillia has her gaze lowered, Anastasia still has that sweet smile on her face as she looks at our group, and Miria was looking at me with excitement in her eyes. 

Harvey motions for Lillia to step forward, and she hesitantly approaches me, raising her left hand. I mirrored the gesture and activated my skill 'Job Concealment' to change my job to Adventurer. 

"Please take care of me," Lillia says, bowing to me after her slave contract was completed. 

"Likewise," I reply with a smile. 

Next, Anastasia steps forward and the process is repeated. 

"Thank you for choosing me, Master," Anastasia speaks to me with a sweet smile. 

"You're welcome," I respond, although her fake smile still made me feel slightly unsettled. Nevertheless, I believed everything will work out.

Lastly, Miria comes ahead, and I also finish the slave contract with her. 

"(Thank you for the fish)" Miria cutely addresses me as she bows. 

I couldn't help but chuckle at her adorable obsession with fish.

My Intelligence card looked like this.

"Michio-dono, please consider my establishment the next time you wish to make a purchase," Harvey smiles at me happily while extending his hand

"Certainly," I reply, shaking his hand, and we leave the establishment, with the girls following behind me. 

Upon exiting the building, I retrieve three pairs of steel shoes from my bag and hand them to the new additions. "Wear these," I instruct, noticing that none of them were wearing footwear.

"Thank you, Master," Anastasia promptly accepts the shoes and put them on. However, both Miria and Lillia hesitate despite having the shoes in their hands. 

"These are for you to wear, so put them on," I reassure them gently.

"Thank you," Lillia says with shyness and wears the shoes on.

"(Master has given these shoes for you to wear)" Roxanne translates my words to Miria.

"(Thank you for giving me these shoes in addition to the fish)" Miria smiles happily at me and wears the shoes. 

She still keeps on reminding me about the fish deal. 

While they were wearing shoes I added them all to my party. They looked a bit surprised but they still accepted the invite. We were a party of 6 which was the limit for the Explorer skill: Party Organisation. 

Together, we made our way to the Adventurers Guild and use the Warp ability to return to our house in Quratar. The new additions were awestruck by the grand entrance hall.

"I will introduce them again. This is Sherry, and this is Roxanne. If I am not present, you should always follow Roxanne's instructions," I inform them all.

"You can call me Roxanne-san, I am the number one slave" Roxanne echoes after me and she even translated this for Miria. 

Miria and Lillia look at Roxanne with admiration. However, I notice a momentary narrowing of Anastasia's eyes at Roxanne, though it quickly disappears, replaced once again by admiration. 

"Roxanne, could you show them around the property?" I ask Roxanne to be their guide.

"Of course, Master. Leave it to me," Roxanne responded happily and takes charge. She instructs the new girls to follow her and begins showing them the mansion. Sherry and I also follow the group from a distance.

"Everything seems to be going well," I comment to Sherry. 

"Roxanne-san wouldn't have any problem handling Lillia and Miria, but I am not sure if Anastasia can be so easy to handle," Sherry whispers to me, her eyes narrowing slightly at the seemingly innocent Anastasia. 

"Don't worry, I am here. Everything will work out" I reassure Sherry, patting her bouncy hair affectionately. She nods obediently. 

Once the mansion tour was over, Roxanne leads them outside to explore the extensive estate. 

The back garden remains untended, the forest was simply a collection of trees, and the smaller house in the backyard hadn't been cleaned yet. Clearly, there was a lot of work that needed to be done.

Lillia and Miria were visibly awestruck by the grandeur of the estate, while Anastasia on the other hand was just looking at the place with shining eyes. 

"(Fish!)" Miria jumps excitedly looking at the fish swimming in the pond. If Roxanne hadn't stopped her she would have rushed into the pond already. 

I knew this would happen, I am just glad that Roxanne is around to control this fish crazed girl. 

Dong Dong Dong

Just then we hear a bell's ringing noise and it drew everyone's attention. It was a very loud sound that reverberated throughout the estate. I immediately recognized the source of the sound.

"It must be the carriage bringing furniture from the Imperial city," Sherry guesses from besides me.

All the other girls were looking at Roxanne and she explains to them what that sound was. 

"Should we return to the house, Master?" Roxanne inquires, seeking my decision.

"Yes" I nod, and we all head back to the mansion where I use Warp to come out from the wall beside the Iron gate.

There was a big bell on the wall beside the gate, someone could ring it from the other side of the gate to notify those inside the estate. 

Since I had locked the gates, this bell served as the primary means of communication for visitors. Additionally, there was a metal post box attached to the wall nearby, serving as a way for people to leave messages or letters for us. 

I open the gate for the carriage and they were indeed from the Imperial city's furniture shop. I let them in and warp back to the entrance hall. 

For the next half-hour, workers placed the newly acquired furniture throughout the entrance hall. I informed them that we would handle the arrangement ourselves and thanked them for their assistance. 

After the merchant thanked me for my purchase they went away. I warp back to the Iron gate, closing it again.

In the future, I hope I don't have to do these tasks on my own. 

Warping back to the entrance hall, I see that Miria and Lilllia were curiously checking out the new furniture, especially the huge bed. Well they would be experiencing it tonight for sure. I smirk imagining that scene.

It took quite some work to arrange the furniture in the rooms even with the assistance of Warp and my augmented Exaggerated Strength due to my allocation of 99 points to the Strength stat.

I was feeling pretty happy as I got to show off in front of the new girls, even Anastasia was looking at me with wide eyes when I lifted up the new huge bed. 

I wasn't the only one doing all the work, as this time I at least had Sherry with me to help me out. With her absurd Dwarf strength she could lift most of the furniture easily too. With our combined efforts, we managed to set everything up to my satisfaction.

We then gathered around the new dining table in the unused expansive dining hall. The table had enough seats for 20 people, with me taking the head seat, flanked by Roxanne and Sherry. 

Lillia and Miria sat beside Roxanne, while Anastasia positioned herself beside Sherry. I could see by this seating arrangement that she seemed to be planning something, but I set it aside for now. 

"Given that you are now part of my family, there are some important things I need to share with you," I begin, addressing Lillia, Anastasia, and Miria. Roxanne also translates my words to Miria. 

Seeing my serious demeanour, the new girls straightened up in their seats.

"I come from the ancient noble bloodline of the Kaga family," I reveal with an earnest tone. 

I spent a considerable amount of time in sharing my story and explaining the nature of my powers. Sherry and Roxanne occasionally had to chime in to help convey the information more clearly.

I delved into details about Jobs, their prerequisites, and Levels. I even demonstrated my unique ability Party Job Setting.

For that I asked Roxanne to use the Identification Card Operation Skill after I changed her class to Village chief. This had caught Sherry and Roxanne off-guard, as I hadn't informed them of me giving them this Job before. 

Roxanne tried it and successfully used the skill on me and my Identity Card popped up, confirming that I had the power to change the Jobs of my Party members. I reverted Roxanne's Job back to Beast Warrior. 

I proceeded to tell them about my Knight skill and what all I can do with it. But my main point was to show them my Identity card. 

Anastasia was the first to look at my card, "How?!" She exclaimed after seeing it. Both Lillia and Miria had a similar reaction looking at it. Sherry and Roxanne, intrigued by their reactions, checked out for themselves. Even they were surprised when they looked at it. 

Throughout the explanation all three of them were listening patiently to me. Lillia and Miria were surprised but still accepted my words, Anastasia just like Sherry was not so easy to accept, although the doubt in her eyes also started to disappear when I showed her some proof with Sherry and Roxanne backing me up. 

So to remove all doubts, I changed my First Job to Hero and showed it to them. Until now even Sherry and Roxanne had just heard me talk about it, but seeing it written on my Identity card was a first even for them. 

"(Master is a real Hero!)" Miria's eyes gleamed with awe, and for the first time, her words weren't about fish.

"Hero!" Lillia exclaimed, her admiration evident.

"So Master will become the new King of the Empire" I heard something dangerous from Anastasia's mouth as she looked at me with an extremely sweet smile. 

"As I have said before this is all a secret, now that you are a part of this family, I trust and expect you all to keep it safe for me" I pause, as all three of them nodded solemnly. "On a lighter note we should all go shopping, Roxanne and Sherry why don't you both make a list of things which we will have to buy for them" 

"Okay Master" Roxanne and Sherry nods in response. 

Seeing them discuss what all to buy, I shift my attention towards their Jobs. 

[Party Job Setting

Lillia

Acquired Job: Master Tailor Level 2, Villager Level 5, Explorer Level 1, Warrior Level 1, Swordsman Level 1, Farmer Level 1

Set Job: Master Tailor Level 2]

It always warms my heart when I don't find Thief in the acquired Jobs. Well looking at Lillia I can tell that stealing never even came to her mind.

Looking at her status there was the new job which drew my gaze, from the start I was intrigued by this race specific Job, now I can find out more about it. 

[Master Tailor

Effect: Increase Dexterity (Medium), Increase Endurance (Small), Increase Dexterity (Small)

Skill: Create Garment, Item Box Operation]

That tells me almost nothing, at least she has the Item Box skill. I will have to talk with her to understand this job better.

Anastasia

Acquired Job: Merchant Level 7, Villager Level 5, Explorer Level 1, Warrior Level 1

Set Job: Merchant Level 7]

Well well well, this is interesting. There is no Thief Job in her acquired Jobs, so she was definitely framed and had been wrongly accused. I will have to ask her what exactly happened later. I already know about the Merchant Job so let's move on to the next.

Acquired Job: Diver Level 2, Villager Level 5, Merchant Level 1, Explorer Level 1, Warrior Level 1, Pirate Level 1

Set Job: Diver Level 2]

Well technically she is the first thief that I bought, no I should call her a Pirate!

Effect: Increase Agility (Slight)

Skill: None]

It is like a mirror of the Thief Job, well she gained this Job by stealing in a water body so it does make her a thief. 

I wonder if I give her a straw hat, will she start saying 'I want to become a Pirate King'. I chuckle at my own Joke, well I don't have red hair so I don't think it would work. 

[Diver

Effect: Increase Endurance (Medium), Increase HP (Small), Increase Strength (Slight)

Skill: Anti-Aquatic Strengthening]

Diver, the female counterpart of Fisherman, the race specific Job of the Catkin seems lackluster, especially the skill Anti-Aquatic Strengthening. From what I remember it was one of the trashiest skills. 

[Anti-Aquatic Strengthening: Increased damage against aquatic monsters]

Except for against a single type of monster, it is useless against everything else. 

While I was checking their Jobs, I had my ears open to their conversation so I did hear Miria asking for fish, Anastasia asking for new clothes and Lillia saying that she needs nothing.

All the three of them were still a bit apprehensive but they were opening up with Roxanne and Sherry's encouragement.
