Food

After the tease session, they walked towards the town. Denear ordered the guards to wait by the carriage since he wanted to go alone. They entered the city without any problems as long as Denear was with them.

They road of the city was wide. It was made out of bricks that must have taken a lot of work. All the other building were on the side of the road where people chattered.

"This place is so beautiful" Denear commented.

The people around were very lively. There were no quarrels as far as Denear could see and hear.

Bailey was not really impressed with anything since she has already been here. Chandler was raised in the wild so he was more than excited. The purple haired girl just had a normal reaction.

"Oooo!" Chandler said, heading to a stall by the road. It was simmered walnuts and wild boar meat. It looked very appetizing.

"You want to buy some young man?" The stall keeper said.

Chandler sadly looked down. He doesn't get pocket money.

Denear noticed and cut in. "Do you really want some Chandler?"

Chandler looked at Denear hopefully. 'I guess that's a yes?' Denear looked back at Bailey and the purple haired girl. "You girls want some?"

Bailey: "Sure"

The purple haired girl : "No thanks!"

"Okay" He looked back at the stall keeper. " I'll have 4 please."

"Coming right up!" The stall keeper the walnuts for 4 people in a bag and the boar meat on thin sticks and handed them to Denear "Why 4?" Chandler asked. "You'll see." Denear replied.

He gave Chandler and Bailey their sticks and some of the simmered walnuts. He left the one boar meat inside the small bag along with the simmered walnuts. He then took out a pouch from his void ring and dropped some money in it. He tied both bags together and then placed it by his side belt.

"Why are you doing that?" Bailey asked while devouring her meat.

"SO GOOD!" Chandler squealed out. He now really sounded like a 5 year old girl. Denear took a bite out of his....It felt like heaven!! Let me remind you that Denear's taste buds are different than this worlds norm. The taste is intensified by 10x. If the food is terrible, it becomes normal taste to Denear. But if it is already delicious, it becomes heavenly. 'This is Delicious!!' HE felt like he was about to cry.. Is this how the people in Shokugeki no Soma feel!? I've been missing out a lot! I feel like i'm floating....

Denear was shaking at how delicious it was. He would only take little bites of the food. His eyes were starting to get moist. The purple haired girl poke his face as he was thinking about the taste. "Are you okay? You're shaking real bad." Denear snapped out of it. "Oh, this food is delicious." He threw a gold coin at the stall keeper who was surprised, but still willing to catch it.

"What this for?" The stall keeper asked. "You're food is just delicious. This is a tip." Denear said, still slowing eating.

"What's a tip?"

'Are there not tipping in this world?' Denear thought before saying. "Well, let's just say it's a gift from me to you for you're delicious food."

"Oh okay. Then i'll gladly accept!" She excitedly said. A gold coin was worth a lot. "I'm gonnna close for the day since I've made more than I need." SHe said starting to pack up. She bowed again at Denear. "Thank you again Young sir." She was basically bouncing as she happily walked home.

'Isn't that dumb to close off early?' Denear just decided to continue on down the road and exploring some stall before they reached another gate inside the city. The city was divided into 3 parts; The slums, The commoners section and the royalty/noble section. They were heading towards the royalty/noble section for lunch. Obviously, Denear was going to be the one to treat them. You can't enter the royalty/noble section without a crest as one a noble. Every noble has a crest that is sort of like a symbol to show from which family they come from.

The Cornelius family symbol are two swords crossed together with the background of a lion roaring. Every part of our family crest has a meaning which I won't go into for now.

After entering the nobles/royalty section.

"Wow!" Chandler said, admiring the much better and expensive looking buildings. "I never imagined to ever enter this section!"

"Quite down Chandler!" Bailey shouted. All the nobles from prestigious families stared at their group. It was very quite inside the noble section since it was all high-class and stuff, and Chandler shouting + Bailey shouting is not a could idea. Only if you want attention.

'What's the point of shouting at someone to stop them from shouting? That's not helping Bailey..' Denear slapped his fore-head and sighed.

"C'mon, let's get going" Denear said to lessen the embarrassment. All the nobles in the area watched them for a few seconds before minding their own business.
