Chapter - 6: Dark-skinned girls are really the best.
------------
[Hanma Yuuto Pov]
I pushed myself up from my meditation spot, my bones cracking with each move. Not gonna lie, I'd totally lost track of time, getting lost in training with memories of the Human Monster.
Luckily, this place had some grub stashed away, and I chowed down to refuel. Can't say it was the tastiest stuff I've ever eaten, but it did the job, giving me the kick I needed to keep grinding through my training.

This whole situation really messed with my head, and I just hoped it wouldn't come back to haunt me later. Despite my serious doubts about using this technique, I knew I had to stick with it.
But it wasn't all negative. Surprisingly, it gave me a shot of confidence. Now, I felt more prepared to take on whatever the Coliseum might throw at me. I was determined not to go down without a fight.
Brushing off those thoughts, I headed for the door of the secret chamber. I gave one last glance to Mary, lost in her world of pleasure, before grabbing the handle and stepping out of the room.
*Ker-chak*
"Hey, Yuuto," greeted a familiar blonde as I strolled out of the secret room. She was casually leaning against a wall, waving her hand with a carefree expression. "Zulu..."
"Oh, nice expression, hehehe," she couldn't help but say, a small smile playing on her face. "Looks like you finally took off your mask, huh?"
I just shrugged in response. "I let myself go a bit, and unfortunately, I have to admit this world is not exactly a good influence on me."
"Do you have any idea how many days you were in there, fuck like a rabbit?" she asked. Observing my expression, which clearly didn't give away anything, she continued, "It's been to five days. You didn't even notice I was coming here every day, waiting for the time you were gonna come out, did you?"
Her words caught me off guard, and it seemed I needed to be more aware of how long I stayed in meditation. I didn't want to end up completely isolated from the outside world and vulnerable without any form of protection.
"I get your concern, and I'll try to be more cautious. But I need to hit up a store outside soon. Otherwise, I'll be lagging behind the other participants," I explained.
"Ohh, looks like you're getting it," Zulu said, a sly smile playing on her lips, "If you stayed holed up for another week, I might have ditched you. Besides, you're probably sick of this disgusting food too, right? Let's hit a restaurant outside and chat. Plus, we need to discuss your next opponent."
I readily nodded in agreement. Despite enjoying the workouts and the rejuvenation of every cell in my body, I couldn't deny my distaste for the cramped, gloomy spaces that eerily reminded me of the abyss I'd been in for too long.
Without probing further, I followed along. However, I couldn't help but steal a glance at her enticing rear that demanded attention. 'Damn.' I had to stifle a whistle as I admired her tiny red-white thief skirt that flirted with the breeze, leaving nothing to the imagination. It showcased her full, round cream-colored derrière, snugly encased in a simple pair of black panties stretched to their limit.
Finally we came out of the Colosseum, and for the first time since I had come to this world I could see the city in all its glory.
Caravans rumbled along the cobblestone streets, filling the air with the rich scent of spices and the distant symphony of bustling markets. The streets were lined with market stalls showcasing a dazzling array of magical objects, including those of a more intimate nature.
As I wandered, I noticed semi-human beings mingling in the crowd, adding a touch of magic to the lively scene. What struck me was the absence of any apparent racism; it seemed like acceptance was the norm in this place. Clearly, it wasn't the most pressing issue for the city.
The cityscape unfolded as a maze of narrow alleys and towering spires, each building adorned with intricate carvings and glowing runes. The rhythmic sounds of hammers against anvils, drifting from the blacksmith areas, filled the air, creating a memorable ambiance.
"What an incredible sight..." I couldn't help but remark, taking in the surroundings as if I had stepped into a D&D adventure, ready for a grand quest.
"This is the fortress city Danguo, the second-largest city in the country after the capital," I confirmed to Zulu, sporting a smile, though I couldn't help but notice a mix of emotions in her gaze.
It appeared that this world had plenty to offer, and I was ready to embrace anything that piqued my interest. After all, I had made a decision not to impose any limits on myself and to live this new life to the fullest extent of my newfound abilities.
[Interlude]
I couldn't help but survey the medieval surroundings with obvious interest. The atmosphere was so extraordinary that I struggled to decide where to look first, not wanting to miss any crucial details that could help me understand this place better.
"First things first, the city's major residents rake in a fortune from the tax revenue generated by Coliseum gambling. But hey, you can find just about everything you need here," Zulu informed me.
"So, it's a pretty facade. They only reveal what suits them, keeping everything else well-hidden to project a false sense of confidence in the city's politics," I commented, taking a few seconds to piece together the overall context and consider how I could leverage it to my advantage.
"Exactly. And you should also know that Zayd is a major shareholder in the Coliseum," she added in a cold and indifferent tone. "She's one of the nine archbishops of Eenaism, connected to virtually every shady business in this city, from loan sharking to slavery."
I couldn't help but cast a quick glance behind me, feeling the weight of many eyes on me due to my 'Sense Danger' ability. The situation was more thrilling than it should be, making me wonder about their intentions.
"So, if you've got power and money, owning soldiers isn't an impossible feat, right?" I questioned.
Zulu expressed clear appreciation for my response, "Spot on. I really like it when you grasp the power dynamics of this place," she said with a playful glint in her eyes, enhancing her already captivating appearance.
"Anyway, we're here. Come on," she concluded our conversation for the moment, gesturing towards what looked like a tavern straight out of a role-playing game. The weathered wooden sign, featuring a mug and pitcher painted with several hearts in the background, swung gently in the breeze, introducing the lively establishment to all who passed by.
From what I could discern, it appeared the tavern went by the name "Sextet" or something similar, at least as far as I could understand, thanks to the advantage it had gained before being summoned into this world.
I followed Zulu inside the designated building, and as the creaking door swung open, the inviting aroma of stew and spiced beer surrounded us. The interior, dimly lit by flickering candles and the warm glow of the fireplace, unfolded like a scene straight out of a modern erotic tale.
Various men, ranging from mere humans to dwarves and other beings that seemed to belong of the stories, occupied different spaces with small sofas. They were entertained by several women who shamelessly displayed their alluring figures with tiny skirts, creating a captivating and enticing atmosphere, and I could not admit that it was a beautiful sight to behold.
However, my attention was firmly captured by someone I couldn't look away from since stepping into the tavern – that from its position seemed to be the manager of all this obscenity.
A dark-skinned woman of medium height, with narrow red eyes accentuated by long, defined lashes. Her straight black hair cascaded down to her thighs, with two longer bangs framing her face. Long black cat ears pointed upward from her head, and a matching long black tail added to her overall resemblance to an Egyptian cat from my old world.
Despite her slender and curvy figure, I could immediately see that she possessed an athletic and well-defined build, particularly in her arms and legs. She wore a black bodysuit that covered her breasts, and a small skirt of the same color that boldly showcased most of her big ass.
"Oh, look who's showing up after such a long time," the woman exclaimed, dripping with obvious sarcasm that oddly added a pleasant note to her words.
Zulu didn't seem offended at all; in fact, she appeared rather amused. "Yo, it's good to see you too, Anput. Looks like business is good as usual."
"Of course, you have doubts, and the best tavern in town," Anput, the woman in question, responded with a nonchalant shrug that made her ample bosom jiggle, a sight I must admit was quite captivating. "What can I do for you?"
"A private room will do," Anput nodded, clearly understanding Zulu's request. For a brief moment, she released her friend and shot me an interested glance with a teasing wink, evident mischief gleaming in her red eyes.

Eventually, we settled into the room, which turned out to be surprisingly spacious and cozy, almost deserving the title of a VIP room given its contrast with the exterior.
"Oh, no need to worry about being chased or eavesdropped on here. This room is private and soundproof, a perfect spot for a lengthy discussion without the risk of unwanted interruptions," Zulu assured me.
I simply nodded, having nothing to hide. My fighting skills and experience were increasing with each passing second; Becoming the true Hanma I should have been from the beginning.
"What do you want to drink?" Before delving into our lengthy discussion about the path ahead, Zulu was intent on ensuring my comfort to foster thoughtful decisions.
"Do you have any energy drinks?" I couldn't help but ask. After a demanding workout, replenishing some sugar into the body was the go-to choice.
"What are these things?" Zulu wore a perplexed expression as the unfamiliar terms floated around.
I couldn't help but release a disappointed sigh. "I guess I'll just go with water..."
"Congratulations on your first time... and what I'd like to say, but your situation hasn't really improved. In fact, if I have to be completely honest, you're likely to be targeted in your next fights."
"That was bound to happen anyway. I mean, I don't think that bitch was just going to let me run wild and gain more power after sending me here to face humiliation," I remarked.
"Exactly. You defeated Zayd's pawn in the most humiliating way possible. Essentially, you spat in the face of the most corrupt and powerful person in this entire country. Now, she's going to come at you with all the political power she has, and if you don't do something, she'll crush you without a doubt."
"All completely true. I'm in a pretty bad situation," I admitted, my face showing no sign of fear. "But why do you act as if this problem doesn't concern you as well? You provided me with crucial information that helped me win the fight. You were even willing to give me your knife if it meant securing a victory. Did you know that?
Zulu flashed a cute smile, a hint of blush on her cheeks that added a certain charm, making it hard for me to ignore, especially given the gravity of the situation. "Well, I had a feeling you're smarter than most folks in this Coliseum, but still. You and I have a personal history. I've wanted to take down that bitch for a long time."
"... You remember the promise you made back in prison, right?" She asked, her tone serious and carrying a hint of danger that demanded attention.
"I'll do something for you, as long as it doesn't put me in chains or harm innocent people unrelated to me."
"Then all I want is for you to keep winning in this Coliseum. From now on, I'll throw all my support behind you, using every bit of power at my disposal. Keep winning and crush that slut n under your feet!!" Zulu declared with determination reflected in her beautiful eyes.
"Of course, until I'm free from being a slave in the Coliseum, I'll fight the underlings of that big-boobed cow. But rest assured, I won't lose to anyone." I have, easily stated as if such a thing is easy for me.
Zulu's smile couldn't have been wider in that moment, and I couldn't help but find it truly endearing. "All right, from now on, we're partners," she declared, extending her hand for a shake.
"Until we see that bitch completely on her knees, with a defeated and broken expression, it's just the two of us giving our best to succeed!"
With nothing to I in response, she smoothly transitioned to a topic of great importance to me. "Now... let's talk business. It's about your next opponent. Zayd has three more pawns, just like Mary."
"Beyond 100 Skills, The Library of Wisdom. The Beautiful Catastrophe... To be honest, I don't know much about her. Of Zayd's various pawns, I have to admit that I know less about Information.
'At most, seems to be a mage capable of casting all kinds of elemental magic without any problem. But, at least in theory, these kinds of people are weak against close combat.'
"Demon Eyes with the Space Swap Skill, Alice Cotton... She is really dangerous, we should seriously find a strategy to have even a chance to be able to win against her."
'Aside from the somewhat chūnibyō name that inevitably brought to mind an explosive loli witch, it seemed that this world also offered some overpowered skills. This changed things considerably, and I needed to be more cautious than initially expected'
"But your next opponent will be Marl Baroque, a physical powerhouse. Her skill grants her three types of buffs, a challenging adversary for someone with your abilities. It's a tough match, and you'll have virtually no time to adapt without risking being obliterated by her initial assault."
I couldn't deny my doubts about possibly losing to a martial artist, but the nature of her skill gave me some real concern. "By the way, is it okay if a strong guy shows up for your fight?"
"Don't worry, Zulu is still stronger than strong," she exclaimed, a really cute smile spreading across her face that tempted me to pet her head like a good pet.
'Third person?' It couldn't help but remind me of a certain very arrogant Golden King. Perhaps it was a clue about the potential skill Zulu used in combat?
"However, it's crucial to know that some skills have a 'class' that has remained since their first appearance. Even with the same skill, Class One and Class Five skills are on completely different power levels. Marl's skill allows her to grant herself three types of buffs: attack, defense, and speed," Zulu explained in a serious tone, making it clear she was providing me with all the crucial information to secure a victory against Marl.
"Above all, the fact that buffing skills are very rare in this world, but in Marl's case, all three are at the highest level..."
"Oh, I see. It seems pretty formidable," I replied in a relaxed tone, mentally absorbing all the information to strategize the best course of action for a victorious outcome.
"As if that weren't enough, Marl herself is a high-level martial artist. This means she can increase her physical attributes at will during the battle, allowing her to utterly annihilate her opponent," Zulu sighed wearily, casting a doubtful look my way regarding the likelihood of my victory.
"On the other hand, we don't even know the class of your adaptability skill, as it was practically never given much consideration. Most importantly, we don't even know the percentage of stamina it gives you," Zulu slumped down on her seat, appearing utterly disheartened.
"How the hell do you expect to win against her?" she asked, sounding as though she expected I already had a winning strategy in mind.
"Who knows..." I muttered, acknowledging that my best bet was to rely on Garou's martial art.
"You promised me that you'll win!" Zulu shouted in obvious annoyance, slamming her fist on the table between us. It seemed that this meant more to her than I had initially thought.
"I will win. I still have two days to think about it, right?" I said, showing no irritation despite the tone of her voice. After all, I was the one stepping into the fight.
"Well, yes..." Zulu muttered, attempting to regain the composure she had momentarily lost due to her impulsive outburst.
"Damn, then what do you want me to do for you?" Zulu asked, almost despondent, eager to provide any assistance to ensure my victory in the upcoming Coliseum round. "You have less than two days to come up with a winning strategy."
"You'll do anything for me, right? Then, first, I need a few things from you to increase my chances of winning future battles," I stated, a familiar grin forming on my face.

A/N: There we have it, the chapter completed ahead of schedule. I hope you find it enjoyable!
As you may have noticed, I've introduced an original character (OC) into the story. Given the diverse array of acquaintances Zulu has in the manga, it felt fitting to bring in a friend for her, especially considering the limited n of dark-skinned girl characters in the series.
I've also provided a brief outline to offer some information without delving into specifics. An introduction to other girls who will be involved in upcoming confrontations has been included to instill a sense of urgency for the Mc.
In terms of DanMachi's power system, I've introduced it to facilitate the main character's gradual and exponential growth under appropriate circumstances. Keep an eye out for new abilities, which will be unveiled following key events to add intrigue to the plot.
I encourage you to comment on the previous chapter, helping me identify any mistakes that need correction. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping the narrative.
