Future Horror

Continuing forward, Julien and the remaining four militia ended up confronting three more vampires in Drake's council. Of them, one surrendered and the others were killed when given the choice.

Julien wasn't conflicted as of yet. Only Lynca showed any sincerity in her surrender.

'If possible, I'd like to help her become human again. She never struck me as having another motive.'

After the fourth council member decided to rather die than surrender, a loud roar sounded from the entrance of the inner courtyard.

"Looks like Fentor's group was successful." Julien's face turned serious. "You lot, distance yourselves from me. You don't want to be near when that vampire gets here."

The militia complied, immediately distancing themselves. They then promptly collapsed onto the ground.

'Bloody vampires.' Julien thought.

"Releasing that particular vampire is a risky gamble for you, little Jul. Not only will you slaughter you childhood fancy, you will kill these... lesser beings."

A tall man walked out from the shadows.

Julien released a stream of curses under his breath that would put a sailor to shame.

"I will sacrifice everything to kill you, Drake."
