They kept moving toward the place where they seen the colored smoke in the sky, Lo kept looking around at the plant life and she seen sand traps everywhere.

" Tai don't go near the patches of quick sand, also watch out for the purplish green vines " Lo said as she pointed toward several vines that we're laying near the sand traps.

" yes, I've seen these things in action before...Are we close to where we met that first day" Tai asked as she noticed several piles of bones from animals to humans laying in several piles and even noticed one of the soldiers items who fell into one of the sand traps.

Tai picked up the shield that was actually a heaven grade shield, she gives it to Lo.

" that is a good shield keep it on you or store it untill you need it " Tai said as they walked past all of the sand traps. Everything went quiet to where no bugs or birds were making noise, Tai pulled out her sword as she grabs Lo by her hand.

" there is something close by, Lo when I tell you to do something and you better do it...ok " Tai said as she turns to meet Los eyes as she caught a movement behind them.

Something that looked like it was bending light, as if it was invisible at first glance.

Tai looked at the ground and she could see prints in the dirt getting closer to them, there was more than just one.

" FIRE PRISMS " Tai shouted as pillars of fire move toward the foot prints and loud growls were heard.

When she seen a black and green looking vulture creature, it had no feathers on its wings they were leather like a bat and when it would open it's long beak it had four jaws that would spread open. Also it had a bulge in it's throat, it would make a gagging noise as a long tube with barbs on it would come out of it's mouth spanning a few feet from the things mouth as white foam would drip from it and the creatures mouth.

Lo seen over a dozen of those things and her eyes went wide with fear, they must be near a nest and usually there is hundreds of these things in or near a nest.

" Tai we need to run, don't let it's tongue get near you" Lo said as she pulls Tai with her as they run toward the right of the tree line to where a mountain is beyond the trees. Tai noticed they were going the opposite way of where the rest was, but at this point they had no other choice.

They ran until they got to the rock cliff, Lo quickly started climbing up the cliff as Tai went behind her to keep her safe. Lo noticed what Tai was doing and couldn't help but smile at the thought.

" Those things have lost the ability to fly, they can jump high and glide. We need to get to that upper cliff then we can make our way to get back on track" Lo said as she noticed those things below them, a few jumped up as they shoot their appendage toward Tai hitting the rock wall below Tais feet. Lo sighed in relief as they climb up to the cliff, she looks at the small cliff and it's wide enough for them to travel across to bypass a big chunk of this area.

Tai pulls Lo down to sit as she leans against the rock wall, she smiles at Lo then hands her a flask to drink.

Lo takes several drinks of the hard liquor as her nerves settled down and she relaxed some. Lo leans back against the wall beside Tai and continues to drink from it, Tai decided to camp on the cliff for tonight and sends a message to the group about meeting tomorrow. Tai also describes the creatures and location of the nest, she then Pulls out several blankets for them.

Tai made a small bed for them to sleep on, Lo layed down facing the cliff wall and Tai layed down beside her.

" The nights get really cold, if you want I can start a fire for us and we can trade spots if you like " Lo said as she turns over to face Tai, she ended up a few centimeters away from Tais face.

A blush appeared on Los face as her mouth opened and closed several times without her being able to release a single word. Tai smiled at Lo as she brushed a few stray hairs out from Los face, she thought of how innocent and beautiful this person is in front of her.

Tai pulled Lo closer to her and then kissed her forehead as she closed her eyes to go to sleep.

Lo just watched Tai sleep in front of her then placed her arm around her waist as she sighed in relief as she fell asleep as well.
