The captain stood there fixated as he see a handful of gold coins inside that medium-size pouch.

"That's 500 coins for everyone, take that to unwind yourself, just don't cause any trouble." Nikos said.

The adventurers and the captain looked at each other in stunned silence, then back at Nikos.

They were astonished, their faces frozen in a mixture of shock and gratitude. One of them, a young half-elf rogue, finally found her voice.

"T-thank you, sir," she stuttered. "We won't let you down. We'll make sure to... unwind responsibly."

"You can go now."

They nodded and walk back to the caravan.

As the adventurers carried the coin pouches, their steps were lighter than before. Whispers of disbelief and excitement spread through the caravan, each member astonished by the sheer amount of gold Nikos had just given them.

"Did you see how casually Sir Nikos did it?" one of the knights murmured, nudging the young rogue next to him.
