Rule 1.5 Do not put your faith in Religious Institutions

This may seem odd to you considering rule 1 was about the so-called "Gods" themselves, but it is important to distinguish between the entities themselves and the people who form religious associations around them. Contrary to what one might expect, not all "Gods" have their own religions, and many associations are comprised of individuals who exhibit questionable behavior.

From my experiences, I have encountered numerous religions, and it is within these associations that some of the most eccentric and unsettling individuals reside. When I first arrived in this world, seeking guidance and assistance, I turned to one such institution that ultimately introduced me to the aforementioned "God." Initially, they appeared welcoming and supportive, but beneath their friendly façades lurked hidden daggers. They imposed me into what felt like slave labor, exploiting my presence for their own gain. Even more troubling, they tried to sacrifice me to the same "God" I mentioned earlier, likely as a means to empower it before its impending demise. If my memory serves me correctly, they attempted to brand me with a symbol, marking me as a belonging of the association essentially signifying that I am an object of the institution rather than a person. The details have become somewhat hazy over the years, but I managed to escape their clutches, dismantling the religious association as I fled.

Unfortunately, my encounters with other religious groups followed a similar pattern. Not all, but a significant number of them exhibited exploitative tendencies and sought power and control over individuals. The battles among these "Gods" have ravaged many religions, leaving only a handful of kind and compassionate associations that offer solace and support in this tumultuous world. Regrettably, these benevolent organizations are becoming increasingly scarce.

It is essential to exercise caution and skepticism when approaching religious associations. While some may offer comfort and guidance, many are marred by corruption and exploitation. Be wary of those who seek to brand you or exert ownership over your existence. Remember that your autonomy and freedom should never be compromised or sacrificed for the whims of religious leaders or the entities they serve.

As we delve deeper into the intricacies of this new world, it is crucial to navigate its complex tapestry of religions and belief systems with discernment. Seek out the few remaining associations that foster genuine kindness and compassion, for they can provide a refuge amidst the chaos. But always remain vigilant, as the battles between "Gods" continue to shape the fate of these religions.
