Guardian in Orario (up for adoption)

This has a similar setting as my first book. Izuku died and reincarnated as a baby. The world the baby was born in a very cruel and twisted. After adapting to the world and gaining strength beyond what others could even dream of, he died. Now, on his third life, his cheat, the golden finger, came in late. In a world of monster, magic, and gods, he decided he will be at the top. I do not own Danmachi, I do not own anything but the plot and OCs. Do not expect anything grand or the like, I am just doing this for fun, everything I type is just things that come to my mind, so it will probably not be consistent or very good, if you hate systems, reincarnation, OP characters, or just a jackass of a main character who doesn’t really care about the lives and deaths of others, this isn’t the book for you, I hope you find a book or fanfic you like.

Chapter 11

Turns out, these items made sold like hotcakes, in the modern world. Oil is something almost everyone uses if they don't have magic stones, magic utilities, or mana. Soap is something everyone likes to have, most soap are not very good, either with the lather or scent. The paper sold decently, they were cheaper than the other options, but not as widely made and known. The ale sold very well, it tasted like apples and fruits and had a pleasant flavor, scent, and aftertaste. So it was sold at a high price.

'Thank you elves for showing me the way.' Author prayed to the elves that taught him the ways of making the ale he taught the peasants.

No caravans from this world have actually come to the village yet, mostly because there are monsters in the forest. This village was once widely used, mostly because it was a shortcut, going through the forest and through the village only took three days, going around the forest however takes over a week.

So it was widely used by merchants, traders, and travelers. But after monsters started to make this place their homes, the monsters would regularly attack the village until people stopped going to the village. Once that happened, the villagers left the village since they could no longer enjoy the riches this village helped them accumulate.

The people left and monsters took over, no one in their right minds would go through the forest just for the five day save, after all, that five day save might actually end their lives.

So no one but the caravans spawned by the system. And that is just fine for Author, more than fine, he preferred this, he didn't need anyone knowing he was building up a force behind the backs of everyone.

He was buying and selling items, building up his forces and making money on the side.

He now has around three hundred peasants and sixty combatants. With those peasants paying for the wages of the combatants and the extra money made from selling items, he was making bank, having two platinum coins.

A very good amount of money to have, two platinums people may look down on it, but five platinum is enough to make a high quality silk factory, or any high quality factory for something.

He was going to go back to his room and expand his core, but another notification appeared.

[ Quest: Nipping a bud

Introduction: A noble has sent his army into your estate with the intention of killing you before you become a thorn to his side. A large army is coming into your territory, show them who's boss.

Reward: Hero coupon ]

"A noble thinks I am just small fry, well, he has another thing coming. And a hero, this will be good." He has a good feeling as to what a hero in this system was, a being above the power and intelligence of these normal troops.

Using his power he scanned the area, nothing showed up, he used demonic arts, and nothing showed up, lastly he used demonic authority, Authority of Observation. A power that demons themselves used, not the demonic arts that were imitations of demonic authorities.

A large invisible eye, covered in red crack like veins, or rather crack, it was more like lines that eventually turn once and a while. The eye is invisible to everyone but demons that used this authority. The eye looked around the surrounding area. No one in the forest, only beasts and monsters.

He looked further out, looking into the plains and mountains that surrounded the forest. He then saw a large group of infantry followed by cavalry. They number around five hundred to six hundred, they were around the level of the bandits that came before. But most of them were weaker.

Still, he could feel his mouth water at the thought of selling them all to Salva. He could make around one and a half platinum, though the chances of none of the enemies dying are very low.

He has thirty nine conscripts, twenty three soldiers, and five squires. The thing is that all the conscripts are ready for level up, mostly because the sheer amount of training they go through everyday. That was able to give them enough experience, the soldiers, none of them are ready for a level up yet, but Author has a feeling this would change soon.

The small army of knights and squires that were marching his way would take around five and a half hours. He would have the conscripts level up and have them fight the army that marched their way to his territory.

He would of course buff them with a spell or five. He walked out the house and had the troops gather, he told them in a passionate speech about protecting the village and defeating the army. The troops got ready to fight, they moved out the village and dived into two, one would set up an ambush in the path that led to the village. Not just one, but five. Slowly whittling their strength away and setting fear into their hearts. The other half would defend the village and strike when they arrive at the village.

The army marched on, once they reached the forest, six people ambushed them, a bunch of arrows were shot, rocks there thrown, and spears were thrusted.

"Get into formation!" One of the knight shouted, the squires got into formation, their shields pointed outwards. Protecting them from more attacks, but unfortunately for them, the rocks came from above, the rocks slammed into the heads of the squires and knights, their heads were smashed.

After people got into proper formation, ready to counter attack, the troops of Author had long left them. They stayed in formation for another ten minutes before they noticed that the people had already ran away.

"What are the damages?" One of the knights asked after a scanning.

"Twelve squires died, twenty squires and two knights were injured." The squire stated while on his knees.

"What the fuck! How can you all be so useless!?" He shouted at the squire. He wanted to cut his head off, but that wouldn't help his situation.

"Continue the march." The knight shouted, the other followed his command and continued their march, leaving the bodies of their comrades while taking the ones that were still able to move.

After and hour of marching, the army encountered another ambush. The army of knights and squires were bombarded by more arrows, rocks, and spears.

The enemy managed to form a formation quicker but the barrage of attacks were much more fierce than the last. And the moment the energy troops managed to form a fortified formation, the troops ran away. The enemy stayed in formation for another ten minutes, but not a single attack came.

"Those fuckers, after attacking us they run away!" The leading knight shouted. "What are the casualties?"

"Twenty five dead squires and three dead knights. Around forty of them are injured." The messenger stated.

This happened another three times, they were ambushed a total of five times. Five times they were ambushed, five times they were chipped away at, and five time did they have a small taste of hell.

But, sometimes people just don't get the hint.
