Chapter 1

Her feet were fast and trying to match the speed of a man who's running. Even though she was panting heavily she didn't stop of what she's doing.

She is Chunera Ly Alvez, she is known in their town not as a modest woman but as one of the best police officers in their department.

" Move! Stand aside in my way "

Chun shouted loudly at the people blocking her way. Although they were confused why she was in such a hurry, they stepped aside to give Chun's way.

"Look at what you're passing by!" a man yelled angrily as Chun held the paper bag that contained of what he buy at the market.

" Count how many are broken and I'll just replace them the next time we meet " Chun shouted back.

The man just shook his head and picked up the vegetables fell in the floor.

"The youth in this generation have no respect for those who are older than them," he said softly.

What exactly is the reason and why does Chun want to catch that man?

Earlier while Chun was at the market buying hee favorite food. A young man stood beside her and because Chun's eyes were looking at the food, she didn't notice that the man was simply taking his wallet from his pocket.

Chun noticed that her wallet was missing when she was about to pay.

" What the hell! " Chun said angrily as the man suddenly disappeared from her sight.

Chun scratched her creased forehead " I lost him " She shook his head and continue to run again.

"Sir" Xian raised his left hand to salute and give honor to the Head of their Department and the Head Chief salute back to him to acknowledge Xian's presence.

Xian Curt Reyes is also one of the best Policemen. Chun's partner. The ultimate duo of Crime Department.

Chun and Xian have been working together for five years and in those years, there is no case that they have not been able to close.

Xian and Chun are both committed their loyalty in their chosen career.

They have their own saying "If you can't commit your whole self on your profession better to resign and kill your self"

Xian noticed the Chief Head looking around the room. It looks like this person is looking for someone and Xian knows who's the Chief is looking for.

"Where is Police Officer Chun?"

Meanwhile, despite of the hot and humid weather, Chun still doesn't stop looking for the man who stole her wallet.

Chun intends to goad the whole town to catch him for the sin he committed.

On the other hand while Chun was busy looking for the thief.

He was running in the narrow alley with a big smile on his lips because he thought he had escaped Chun and stopped looking for him.

Technically this guy really escaped from Chun's hand but not with this man.

There's a man hiding while there's a lollipop in his mouth. He had been in that place for a while and was waiting for this man to come.

He grinned when he heard the sound of shoes approaching him. He raised his left leg and within a second the man fell.

He looked at the man who cut him. The thief looked at him with a mark of confused written on his face.

" Be careful not to be caught " The man who's eating lollipop said.

He took his steps to leave when he suddenly stopped and turned back again to his.

"By the way the Police you got robbed is on her way"

He quickly left and hid when he heard Chun coming " You! " Chun's pointed her finger to the thief " Son of the bith "

Chun took a big step to quickly get close to the man " I almost search the whole town to find you and your right here "

Chun grabbed the collar of his clothes and looked at him sharply "Where are my five peso bills "

Yes you heard it right. Chun ran and was ready to search the whole town just to get her five pesos back.

Just like what Chun's always say "1 million can't be made without pesos and 1 peso can't be made without five pesos"

Chun's got her phone inside her pocket when she noticed that it was ringing.

Xian's name pop up on her phone screen. Chun sighed when she saw there's a lot of calls coming from Xian number.

"Xian" Chun said as she answered the phone call "Where are you? Chief is looking for you"

Chun's grab the collar of the thief shirt and lift it up with force "Where are you taking me?"

Chun's winced because what the thief asked her " I'll probably take you to your house. Stupid! I'll take you to the precinct "

Meanwhile. Xian and the Chief of their Department are waiting patiently for Chun's arrival.

" What did Ms. Chun said? "

" She's on her way to the Station " Chief nodded. A few minutes passed when the door opened and a tired, disheveled hair and untidy Chun appeared in front of them.

Chun entered the room. She raised her right hand to salute but instead of acknowledging her presence the Chief spoke " You're late Police Officer Chun "

" Where did you go? I've been calling you for several times " Xian said as Chun stood beside him "I got robbed "

" What? You got robbed? " Xian said in disbelief " Hmmm " Chun said and nodded.

" What kind of look is that? " Chun said when she saw the doubt on Xian's face " I know I'm a sharp and strong police woman but sometimes it's inevitable to be take in advantage " Chun's proudly said.

" Ehem " The Cheif faked his cough to grab the attention of the two Officers " Hi Sir, Good Morning " Chun greeted. Xian slapped his forehead weakly.

"Fix yourself" Xian warned Chun towards her behavior "I'm fine, Xian"

"You don't act like one" Xian said.

" What did you do and you didn't make it on time " The Chief said trying to calm his self.

"I got robbed Sir on my way here so I run and chase the thief to get back my wallet"

"How much is in your wallet?"

"5 peso bill, Sir" Chief massaged the bridge of his nose.

He doesn't know how and why Chun is one of the best Police Officers in the Department he holds despite or her behavior.

Chun is childish.

"You two" he pointed at Xian and Chun "Listen to me carefully especially you Ms. Chun"

" You're old enough so don't act like an three year old kid that should be taken care of " Chun place his hand on her chest " Me " She mouthed.

The Chief motioned them to sit in the empty seat. Chun sat down ahead of Xian in the chair.

" Did the Chief already told you that don't act like a little child " Chun winced " I just want to sit on the soft and comfortable seat besides I deserve this I was tired from chasing that thief "

Xian crossed his legs and ignored what Chun said "What?" Xian grabbed his left shoulder as Chun simply hit him "And I'm not acting like a child"

"Definitely not because you are really a three year old kid. Do you want me to change your diaper baby? " Chun rolled her eyes.

"I want you to take a look at this photo" they were both silent when Chief spoke. The Chief handed the brown envelope to Xian and Chun.

Both of them are looking at the photo "This passed few days. There are many reports at the Station about this kind of crime and up until now we still have no idea who is the suspect and what his motive "

"It has also spread on social media and this incident caused fear to the people of the whole town"

The Chief folded both of his hands on the table "That's why I called you to take care of this case"

"P.O Chun and Xian the whole Department are rotten on you"

"Now we're working under pressure"

"Why?" Chun's took a glance at Xian "Eyes on the road" Xian said.

Chun immediately hold back her stare at Xian and looked back at the road. Xian is sitting on the shotgun seat while Chun is the one who holds the stirring wheel.

They are on their way to the Hospital to check the corpse of a woman who was found dead in the woods.

They even had a fight who would hold the steering wheel but knowing Chun she don't want to lose.

Whatever she wants she needs to get it by hook or by crook.

"Don't you have a phone?"

"You said a while ago that my eyes should be on the road and now you are complaining and to answer your question of course I have and even more recent than the brand of your new phone" Chun get her phone out and let Xian saw her brand new phone.

Xian sighed " It's now on the news and even on the social that we are going to take the case they even called us again 'The Ultimate Duo' like what the hell is with that name of us?"

" Do you know why? " Chun smiled at Xian " Why? " Xian responded " Because I'm cool " Chun's wink at Xian.

Xian just winced and shook his head "Cool your ass"

"Working with you is a real pressure"
