Talon had just sat down in the pantry, gently blowing on his coffee while waiting for his savory croissant to warm up in the microwave when Yuki walked in.
"Ohayo gozaimasu, Talon-san," Yuki greeted.
After watching a short anime the previous night, Yuki was caught up in the ambiance and occasionally spoke in Japanese. Talon waved and smiled.
"Hi, good morning, Yuki-chan."
Hearing this, Yuki giggled softly. "It feels like being back in Japan when people call me Yuki-chan."
She approached Talon, placing her tablet on the table and swiftly scrolling through the screen.
"Is that okay? Using 'Chan' is usually for kids, right?"
Yuki shook her head. "Not just for kids, it can be used for family members or as a term of endearment for close friends."
Talon nodded. "Ah, got it."
"Are you done with your breakfast, Talon-san? We have a schedule to meet Crystal Rose today," Yuki quickly changed the topic.
