Party. (3/5.)

"Ah the Vampire Knight. I have heard of you actually, well just your name and your class." I answered with a smile as I continued to feel my blood pressure increase.

"I'm Bastion."

Shura's smile increased slightly as the look in her eyes changed from curiosity to slight interest.

'It feels as if the longer I stand near her the more my blood pressure increases. Is it a skill or am I just naturally reacting to just being near her?' I questioned internally as another thought crossed my mind.

'She's dangerous.'

"So, I have to ask." Shura took another drink from her cup as her gaze finally left mine. "What did you do to make those three beautiful women so angry?"

"Oh, them. I didn't agree to the terms of their contracts back in the beginning when we were all summoned. But don't be all too concerned with them, I'll be burying them." I said with no emotion as I took another drink from my glass.

"So how did you receive an invitation to a Baron-only party?"

Shura started to laugh in an elegant manner which seemed to draw the attention of the other Barons as a few of them started to slowly head over with large and knowing smiles.

"I was invited by another Baron who seems to think that I'll be sleeping with him all because he thought he saved me from a Red Boar Bandit. And since I knew that you have been made a Baron. I thought it would be a good chance to have a proper talk or the possibility of working together." Shura explained as she started to frown slightly at the approaching group.

"But that'll have to hold for a moment."

Even some of the Barons that were around the three sisters left as they started their approach.

The sisters even tried to approach as well, but just when they tried to, Nondor appeared outta nowhere blocking them as he shook his head.

I could only sigh as I finished my drink and interrupted the lead Baron. "Can you please go and jerk yourselves off someplace else. We are trying to have an educated and fulfilling conversion here."

I waved them off as all of them seemed to be confused for a moment, as Shura tried not to giggle but was failing as her pale face started to gain some slight color.

It only took about ten more seconds until one of the Barons finally understood what I meant as their face started to twist into abject horror, pointing a shaky hand, while opening and closing their mouth.

"That's weird, I didn't know that I was at the river fishing. Do you have something to say or are you going to continue to open and close your mouth like a dying fish trying to breathe?" I asked as the Baron's eyes started to turn red with anger.

"I think he's going to continue to open and close his mouth like a dying fish." Shura sighed as she spoke while placing her head in her hand. "And here I thought that I would be surrounded by some of the educated people of this Kingdom."

"Educated? Them? I doubt that, I mean even uh… whatever his name is took ten long seconds to even respond. The others haven't even said anything as a fellow Baron is being roasted. Such good people." I answered with slight surprise before a light laughter escaped my throat.

The Baron who pointed their shaking hand was finally able to have some form of words escape his throat. But all that he was able to form was 'you', repeatedly. Over and over and over and over again.

Like a broken record.

"I think you fried his sophisticated and educated mind there Baron of the Graves. But yes you fellows should go and find another place to have a discussion." A mild and well mannered voice called out. "Also how do you know the Baron of the Graves, Shura?"

The other Barons seemed scared as they nodded their heads while also pulling away the still mumbling Baron.

He was a tall, decent looking man with bright green-blue eyes. Short blond military style haircut with a build to match. He had two parallel vertical scars across his left eye, with another two parallel in a horizontal fashion. He was wearing a formal military uniform and instead of a sword on his hip there was a fierce looking ax.

"Ah, sorry where are my manners, I'm the Scared Baron, Roland Bahr." Roland smiled as he brought his hand out for me to shake.

If anything I was surprised by Rolands politeness as I smiled under my mask and shook his hand.

But just as my hand grip his, he slowly started to increase the strength of his grip.

"The Scared Baron, that's an interesting title." I said as I looked Roland in the eyes.

"Not really, just shows how much death seems to like me." Roland said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"I guess, but I have to ask, what are you doing? You seem to like holding my hand. I'll let you know now that I like women, but if you swing that way, good for you." I said as I pointed at my own hand.

Roland started to smile as laughter escaped his mouth as he released his grip. "I as well, you are an interesting one, Baron of the Grave."

But just as he finished laughing he turned to face at Shura with a minor look of anger on his face.

"You still haven't seemed to answer my question Shura. How do you know the Baron of the Graves? Because as far as I know there isn't such a Baron, so…" Roland started to say as he turned back to look me in the eyes while slowly placing his hand on his ax.

"Who are you really, Baron of the Graves?"

The atmosphere around Roland started to change as a red flimsy looking aura started to form around his body as it emitted a sharp and brutal pressure.

I looked confused as I looked to my left, right, and then right back to Roland. Which seemed to anger him as the flimsy aura started to become more firm as it started to emit a stronger pressure.

"Me, well. I'm just a Grave Digger. But since you were able to ask such an obvious question let me ask you one as well." I smiled underneath the mask while gesturing at Roland. "How is it that Little Boar, the Vice-Leader of the Red Boar Bandits, is a noble of the Otihame Kingdom?"

Shura looked shocked before a soft laughter escaped her throat as her presence changed as the liquid in her cup broke the glass forming a small needle as she quickly grabbed it and placed the tip to Rolands neck.

Easily breaking Rolands aura.

But he didn't seem to be fazed as he just started to smile while raising his hands in the air. But the sweat that started to form on his face quickly gave away his true emotions.

"Well, it seems the cat is out of the bag. How did you know? I'm pretty sure that I kept that part of my life hidden. Are you perhaps a new recruit… No, that would be impossible." Roland started to question as he seemed to find some type of courage.

I brought my finger up to where my lips should be on the mask.

"Secret of the trade my dear Little Boar."
