"Wow mum father came back with a lot of things today." Lily said "Is today someone's birthday?", now she stared at her father in anticipation but he simply smiled and gave her a pat on her head.

He said "Lily, these are all for you. They're your gifts. I passed by the market today and saw a couple of things that I thought you would like so I decided to get them for you", he responded " so here you go". Lily smiled and looking her father in the eye " Thank you Dad, that's very thoughtful of you. So did you get something for mum as well" she asked, " Of course i did, how would I get something for you and then forget my sweet loving wife", then handed out a back to his wife Linda.

Linda cooked dinner and they all sat down and had dinner together. As they ate Lily noticed another gift bag beside her father. She asked " Who those that belong to?", he said " This one is for me, I also bought one for myself", then he smiled at her.

"I going to unwrap my present now" Lily said very excited. There were teddy bears, Dolls and a couple of dresses with her favourite colours. She went to her room to try on the dresses.

Linda looked at her husband and asked " What's come over you all of a sudden? Anyways thank you. She also went to her room to try on the dresses he got her. Then they had dinner afterwards.

Manuel was happy to see his family happy, he thought 'I might not get to see my smile at me that way. But I hope she'll understand that it's for her own good '. He quickly got rid of the thought knowing full well that his daughter could read his be listening. "It has to be done" he said to himself " that sooner, the better".
