New Identity

" Linda get me a bowl of hot water and a towel" He cried out loud barging into his house. In confusion, his wife watched him place the little girl he was holding in his arms down "Hurry" he yelled. In confusion, she did as her husband requested. Dipping the towel into the bowl of water, he gently placed it on her forehead for a while, then moving it round her face to her hands as they awaited the doctor to arrive with his brother.

" Who is she?" Linda now asked having a concerned look on her face. Manuel stood up looking his beautiful wife in the eyes, now admiring every inch of her face, from her eyes to her hair to her nose and finally to her lips, it was pink, leaning in allowing his lips to grace her in a warm kiss then he pulled back a little placing his hard palm to caress her soft chick "We stumbled across her body in the forest while hunting, she laid on the ground in the cold, so I brought her home".

(knock on the door) "It much be the doctor, go let them in" he said free his wife from his arm. "Welcome doctor, please come in, she is inside" letting them in, she closed the door behind them. They all stood as the doctor examined her "She has a mild fever " he said "get these herds , pound them together, make a tea with it and feed it to her". "Thank you doctor, sorry for the inconveniences. My brother would see you out", the doctor nodding his head followed the brother out of the house.

"Give me the list of herbs" Linda said taking a look at it "We have them at home, I'll just prepare it now" she said now leaving to prepare it.

"Jenny, Jenny" looking around she now saw her mother on the floor, people coming after them. Her mother couldn't keep up "Jenny " she shouted "Run, go my daughter, go" she cried. "No mother get up, they're coming " she tried to help her mother up but she was pushed away "Run I said and don't look back" both in tears, Jenny began running as fast as she could. At the distance she now stood, "Don't look back" she remembered her mother's words and stood there. Looking back now, her eyes wondered in search of her mother "Mother" she screamed as she saw her mother laid on the floor covered in blood.

"No" her body became hotter "No, no, no". Manuel watched as she struggled in her dreams "Linda be quick, she's burning up" he shouted in panic trying to wake her up now "Hey little girl, wake up, it's just a nightmare" he called out to her tapping her gently. Linda rushed in with the herbal tea sitting beside the girl, her husband helped raise the girl in a sitting position so she could feed her.

"Mother" she shouted. The darkness set in again, she cried as the ground below her feet began to turn gray, trees around her dried up with the wind blowing the dead leaves.

"Hey little girl, wake up, it just a dream" she heard a voice calling out to her "You are safe, wake up"

Her black eyes shut open, she could see a man and a woman sitting beside her and they could see her. They saw an unusual set of eyes which soon became normal and wondered who that were possible.

Recoiling backwards at the people she had never met , she asked " who are you? what do you want? where is this place?" she panicked "how did I get her?". "Relax, you're safe" he answered "I found you in the forest, what is your name?". 'No Jenny ' she thought to herself ' if u tell them, they'll know, they'll kill you, they'll take you back' "Lily, my name is Lily" she answered looking at the two.
