The Start of Something New

<Late Year 25 BC>

Ainz's POV

It has been almost a year since my transmigration and a few weeks after the great recreation event and things have been quite busy since then.

The people —humans and apemen alike— were initially so distraught and shaken from our recreational activities that they almost went bonkers.

Especially the apemen, they were sensitive to the tremors and changes of the environment since I forgot to transport them to an island instead of the mainland but a few Angelic Spells were enough to calm them and put them to 'sleep'.

Besides that, we have already started with building up the foundation of our very first 'Town'.

I have instructed them to build up the town where the central river meets the sea, where the ruins of Zamettar used to stand.

'I was thinking of a great port city with a giant statue of an angel holding a torch, acting as a lighthouse. Where the only entrance to the city by sea is going through its legs.'

Think of the 'Colossus of Rhodes' where a statue of the Greek sun god Helios, was erected in the city of Rhodes.

'It would definitely look epic! No one will be lost at sea for they will be guided by the light of the heavens~'

I instructed them to build it first cause the settlement back at Ax Isle would not be enough to cater with the growing population.

'A lot of women are getting pregnant, left and right. The reason? Either this is how they cope with their trauma, they're horny or just love each other that much'

'Hmp! Lucky bastards...'

'I guess I could not fault them if they deem this newfound era as the best time to start anew.'

'And what better start is there than creating a family? Though according to my Angels, the majority of the parents are unwed.'

With the absence of Septons or Religious Leaders, may it be the Seven, The Old or the Shepherd and Goats. They somehow no longer wish to follow the ways of the faith that they used to believe in.

'Hmm~ I wonder why that is~?'

Kidding aside. That could be remedied after the town is built.

It shall be where the shrines of Angelarium will rise!

'Just thinking about it all makes me so giddy!'

It's best for them to seal the deal as soon as possible as well with the spread of Angelarium at the infancy of this unamed nation.

'I do not wish for Baby Mommas and Baby Daddies to just abuse the 'go to the world and multiply' card and then hop on to another hole and stick for the fun of it.'

'It should have meaning... and limits!'

Marital affairs aside, if you are wondering about what happened to the other ruins, especially the City of Yeen.

Well, I have instructed the Angels and the men and women who volunteered to assist us to demolish the ones last standing.

That includes the dark ruins of Yeen.

It took a while to do so though. I had the Archangel Lights and the Ladies of the Covenant to exorcise and purify the whole area, with yours truly, in the lead.

'No human, ape or angel were harmed during the destruction process'

Though the stones remained slimy and black, it no longer had the stench and aura of darkness and death.

As for the hidden lair, I left it be. I simply asked the Archangel Earths to cover up the entrance — Mare style — so it could blend in with the surroundings.

I'll make use of the underground network and expand it throughout the whole land to serve as my underworld base or spy network.

'And a few 'Happy Places' as well, here and there. Hehehehe.'

As for proper marinal protective maneuvers, a few angelic eyes and water manipulation should be enough to keep us safe.

I was planning to make the northern area to be inhabited by the humans.

That way, once strangers want to visit my lands, they would see familiar faces.

'Wouldn't want them to be eaten by Giant Apes the first time they set foot on land, right?'

It may change, considering the vastness of the world, so we may find ourselves being joined by races old and new.

Anyways, now with the newly reformed land, I have given some of my angels the task to scour the land as they have done once before, further south this time.

'Maybe they'll find new resources along the way'

The area I transformed the most out of all the areas in Sothoryos was the southern parts.

I separated them into 5 major areas.

The desert at the center, I personally named it as the 'Sahara Oasis'.

The 'Green Hills' of the Western parts of the continent, where the trees are dominantly present.

The 'Blue Lagoon' of the Southwestern parts, nearest to the sea where a semi crescent shaped white sand beach is formed with tiny little islands that I have left untouched.

The 'Garden of Eden' of the Southeastern parts, where vast grasslands and meadows filled with wildflowers that stretches far away.

And lastly, the 'Oreborous' of the Eastern parts of the land, dominated by tall mountain ranges that formed a circular basin.

The mountains is connected through the eastern end of the lined up mountains that half embraces the whole dessert area, which separates the north from the south.

'Don't bother ask me regarding the names, I was never good at it since day one'

'As for the name of my future kingdom? I haven't really found the inspiration yet. I'll just go with the flow for now. Maybe I'll find the right inspiration along the way. It shall be a task for another day~'

With my great imagination, I could already see it.

The 4 different regions inhabited by 4 different races.

And one ring— I mean power! — to rule them all... ME!

*Sigh*

'It's just so nice to dream~ and what makes it better is that I have an endless supply of resources and workforce to make it all possible!'

With most angels at work and the humans assisting with the whole building project.

The others are checking in with the whole ecosystem.

'The flora and fauna doesn't have any choice but to cope with the changes'

No matter how big or small, everything shall serve with great purpose in our growing civilization!

With the practice of 'advance' animal husbandry, forestry and agriculture, it will be able an effective way to care for the environment and at the same time, meeting the demands of the growing population.

All this is to be implemented because I'm still not finished with my 'Breaker of Chains' persona.

More people to save, more lowly lives we can put to work.

I'm sure there are a lot of slaver ships rowing around the seas, we could sink a few. No biggie.

Speaking of new Fauna. There was one particular discovery that has made my days interesting.

We found Chickens!

We at least, what my past Earth's Scientists believed as ancestors of chickens.

Yes. You heard me right.

The Chicken's ancestors, aka. Dromaeosaurs.

'Now the giant crocodiles will finally find peace from the endless slaughter for their delicious meat'

'We wouldn't want crocodiles to die out in extinction just because people love the taste of chicken right?'

They are with feathered and not the gigantic type of dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus Rex, more like a donkey-sized feathery dino nugget.

It has a long snout filled with serrated teeth and wing-like arms. It moves with agility on its powerful, bipedal legs, each foot armed with a deadly sickle-shaped claws.

Unfortunately, when we tried cooking them, it tasted horrible. The texture of the meat was leathery and dry.

'I guess the chicken taste only manifested after many years of evolution or perhaps the real ancestors of the chickens are crocodiles? Who knows?'

Since they don't taste good but with their innate speed and agility with considerable strength, might as well use them for transport.

"The chickens can finally cross the roads soon enough!"
