GOT/ASOIAF: Son of the Unworthy

Waking up to find you have died and are being given a second chance at life can be disorientating. Finding out you have been sent to a world you have seen on TV can be even more so. Being sent before the events of the show by a good 100 years is only the icing on the cake when you have to deal with being an infant with the mind of an 18-year-old. Things are off to a rough start but Aerion Targaryen will give it his best to live the best second life he can. Alright, that is the introduction, this is a Fan Fic of a person of our time who finished all of the Game of Thrones tv show. He is thrown into the body of a Stillborn infant who is the son of Aegon the Unworthy by his legal wife. This is the same Stillborn who was the twin brother to Daenerys who married into Dorne to bring them into the 7 kingdoms, it's a canon still born I didn't BS this one into existence. MC is going to have a heavy satire start that is meant more as a joke than anything else because this story is for fun. I repeat this story is for fun and I won't pull random bull crap from my hat too much but I won't take it as seriously as my other GoT fic. MC does not know the lore of the world and is a casual fan so when he says something stupid it is his own take, not mine. Keep that in mind. Oh, Daenerys Stormborn the mother of dragons is also reborn into the Daenerys who is his twin. I did it for fun and also because I thought it would be a fun twist. She was stabbed in the heart by Jon Snow and wakes up in the body of her namesake as an Infant. Cool concept.

Aemon Targaryen

Leaning on the rail of the Flagship 'Balerion' I look toward the King talking with my Father on the dock. Even with the crown on his head my Uncle the King still looks less 'royal' than my Father in my opinion. It could have something to do with the fact my Father is wearing a mix of royal garb and his dragon riding leathers.

It certainly cuts a certain image that is hard to ignore even when the man across from him is wearing a crown.

"What do you think it's like to wear a crown all of the time?" I ask Visenya who is sitting facing the water on the railing beside me... one small push and she is going to get a nice dip in the murky black water.

"Dreading the coming months?" She chuckles lightly as she taps me on the brow. "You will soon find out the answer to your question all on your own." I shake my head to rid myself of her sweaty hand and shuffle a bit closer to Rhaella to avoid a repeat 'attack'.

"Well I am planning to wear a simple Valyrian steel circlet, I am sure with how lightweight and small it is that I will simply forget it's on my head." I smile at Rhaella after she bumps me with her hip and takes my right hand to wrap it around her back.

"At least put some rubies on it..." Visenya sighs as she looks over at me and my twin. "If your crown looks cheap then it will look back on all of us." I crinkle my nose at the thought of wearing fancy jewels on my head but then I remember Aegon himself wore fancy jewels.

"Maybe." I reply with uncertainty, I hate looking overly fancy even if it means dressing 'humble'.

Mother really ruined me when it comes to fancy clothes, I grew tired of being dressed up long ago. But I won't blame her for it entirely, I also blame my twin who likes to look beautiful when she goes out and includes me in that as well. The amount of times I have had to dress up just to go to the market with Rhaella is enough to make my stomach feel sick.

...women.

"I wish Valarr luck." Rhaella speaks up as she directs my sight with a nod toward our cousin as he tries to talk with Daenys.

"Valarr has his work cut out for him..." I shake my head seeing Daenys keep up her 'public appearances' mask as she converses with the future heir to the Iron Throne.

"Barking up the wrong tree." Visenya jokes a little too loudly, I can tell because of the side eye Daenys tossed in her direction and the awkward shifting of the golden-haired woman beside her.

Cerelle Lannister, a lioness who slipped her way into Harrenhal and befriended one of the many dragons. No doubt with hidden motives but my Sweet young sister stripped the lioness bare of all schemes. She used her status to offer Cerelle a 'safety net' so the Lannister would not be forced to wed a fat Lord who had convinced her Father that a marriage was a good idea.

It surprised us all, not the fact that Daenys obviously had some emotional attachment to a female but instead the scheming and plotting to get what she wanted. It came out of nowhere unlike her preference for female company over male company... not that any Daughters of my Father get a chance to have male company.

Ignoring my father's habit of scaring off any visiting male Lords I still can't help but marvel at my younger sister's ability to remain so 'innocent' on the surface yet also able to conduct herself like a seasoned pro in politics.

The fat Westerland Lord was 'convinced' to marry someone else after a 'visit' from Daenys when she took up the 'duty' of unthawing his roads. Then a short trip later to Casterly Rock and back home and all of a sudden Cerelle was a permanent resident of Harrenhal and the personal handmaiden of Daenys.

"Which do you think will happen?" I feel a nudge from Rhaella and look over at her confused and she rolls her eyes. "Pay attention, I asked if you think Daenys will blow off any attempt of the Prince to court her or if she will take charge and put him under her thumb?" I shiver and shake my head casting off the brief memory of the time I walked by my younger Sisters chamber late at night.

... I did not need to hear any of that and I will take it to my grave.

"I don't know, but I could see Daenys making for a good Queen of Westeros one day." I have not the faintest idea if Daenys would 'do her duty' and give Valarr any children but I do know she would make for an excellent Queen.

She knows how to throw around the weight of a dragon without breaking anything and that is what the Iron Throne is sorely in need of right now. Once we head off for Essos there will be some people shifting around testing the waters and a dragon rider would help the throne a lot. But I also know every dragon is going East, Father wants it that way so that is the way it will be, I know because I asked if Rhaella could stay behind in Harrenhal where it would be safe.

I still am uncertain about the questions he asked me that day.

Is she safer in Harrenhal with one dragon and loyal men or is she safer beside me where I can protect her myself?

Do I want her left behind to spare her the cruelty we no doubt will see in the coming days?

How the hell could I leave behind my first Grandchild?!

Do you honestly think I would miss the birth of my first Grandbaby?!

...I think some of those were a bit more honest about his own intentions.

"-I think he is just lost in his own little world and we should head below deck and relax a bit before we set sail." I shake my head hearing an attempt from Visenya to seduce my Rhaella and I quickly slap my treacherous half-sister across the ass.

"No such things will be happening." My voice is sharp and steady as the Valyrian steel blade on my hip and I glare at Visenya as she rubs her now pained rear end.

"No fun." She puffs her lips and lifts her chin but I can still see the slight red that appeared on her pale face.

"Hit her again." Rhaella whispers lightly in my ear and I shiver and grip her hip a bit tighter as I pull her flush against my side.

I almost do as my life partner bids because it's honestly what I was already thinking, but catching my father's eye as he looks at the ship I freeze and instead wisely tuck my free hand into my pocket.

'Smart' he mouths to me before taking a step toward his Brother and embraces the man while keeping his eyes on me over the King's shoulder.

"What happened?" Daeron asks with a bit of fear in his voice as I clap him on the back to vent a bit of the annoyance churning inside of me.

"I saw something that displeased me." I nod once at my Son and he quickly yanks his Sister off the railing with one arm and with his other spins his pregnant twin around and takes both of them away.

"Do I need to call the guard?" Daeron asks while looking around with narrowed eyes, I feel a bit touched by his concern and wave him off.

"It's fine, I can crack my son's skull open on my own." His eyes widen before he looks at the ship and freezes, I curiously follow his gaze and lock eyes with an unamused Daenerys who has her arms crossed. "Never mind, summon all of the gold cloaks while I make my retreat." Damn, Aemon called in reinforcements!

Daeron lightly chuckles while shaking his head before he turns to look at his Grandson and my Daughter who are still 'greeting' one another.

"The boy will be safe with me." I once more give my word to watch over the heir to the heir and Daeron nods with an almost happy smile on his face.

"I know he will... I just hope things can work out and everyone can be happy." I don't outwardly react while I internally nod in agreement but unlike him, I know things will be fine.

I talked with Daenys as the intentions of my Brother were obvious when he asked to send Valarr with me across the Narrow Sea. I know he seeks to keep our family united and by the future King's wedding my Daughter he hopes things will be peaceful in future generations. No doubt the true aim is to begin a long tradition of marriages between the Targaryens of Westeros and the Targaryens of Essos.

Daenys will give it a 'good attempt' in her own words to see if Valarr is 'acceptable' and that is all I will ask of her. I know for a fact that even if no marriages are had now that one day there will be, there is not a doubt in my mind. I know my children will have children and no doubt they will have the idea eventually to marry a King of Westeros. I don't know how the chips will fall yet but I do know things will eventually work out just based on how I know my children are not stupid.

They may be goofballs every now and then but they are likely some of the most educated people on this planet.

"I heard you are bullying my baby boy." I jump hearing my wife's voice behind me and I almost knock over my Brother as I avoid a small pale hand that was reaching for my wrist.

"Daeron quick, distract her!" I sprint for the boat ramp with the aim of finding a 'cute hostage' and then praying it's enough to avoid my wife's annoyance from whatever lies my eldest concocted.

Hopefully Alyssa is in the mood to bat her eyes or throw hands in her father's defense.
