The festival outside of the palace was truly different. Compared to the palace, where everyone's true thoughts were hidden underneath their smile, the streets were totally different. No one was hiding their joy under a meek smile, but instead, expressed it fully, smiling until their eyes turned into crescents.
Avina's head swapped left and right, watching with wide eyes at the festivities. She feared she would miss something as she walked through the festival. Her beautiful face was illuminated by the lanterns on top and a small reflection of the amber light bloomed in her eyes. Her beautiful clothes didn't suit her surroundings, appearing like cloud gauze only used by immortals. Even the hairpiece bounding her hair looked as if it would cost an average man his yearly salary, maybe even more.
