Third Person POV

Michael knew Emma found out about his father's crimes, that it was time for him to pay for his sins against her family, including the ones from decades ago.

The father he learned to abhor for the amount of blood on his hands and his endless greed was finally to serve his delayed penalty.

All the uncalled for blood he shed, and the lives he destroyed in his seeking of wealth and prosperity was finally coming back at him to bite him right where it hurts.

He couldn't help but feel a bit of a sting in his heart for him, no matter how much he hated the old man it does not change the fact that he is his father.

The sound of a tires coming to a halt brought him out of his thoughts. He knew it was Emma and the three consecutive knocks on the door confirmed it.

"Who might it be at this early hour?" His wife asked as she headed towards the door to open it.

"Leave it, I'll do it." Michael stopped her before she reached the door.

"Who is it, son?" His father asked from where he was reading the morning news.

"You'll find out." Michael said and went to open the door.

"Come on in." Michael's voice rung through the corridor as he ushered his guests.

His wife paled instantly when she saw who he was letting in. What was Emma doing here? Was all she thought about.

"Long time no see, Amani." Emma said nonchalantly.

"Emma, long time indeed." Amani regained her composure quick enough to answer Emma while she was in the corridor.

All blood drained from Michael's father's face when he heard the name his daughter-in-law uttered rather loudly, leaving him white as a ghost.

"We meet again, William." Emma greeted as she came face to face with her ex husband's old man in their living room.

William didn't know what to do or how to react, he found himself standing up abruptly. His whole body had a mind of its own, it refused to listen to it. His hand were shaking, tongue is tied and the constant beeping in his ears was blinding him by the second. All in all his body has surrendered to the one feeling that brought men to their knees, fear.

"Emma, dear, it's b- been a l- long time." He finally managed to utter, but cursed himself for stuttering midway.

"Drop the act, I'm not in mood to play along nor do I have the time for it." Emma said bluntly.

She looked at Michael who came back from his room with his luggage.

"Finished?" She asked.

Michael nodded his head in response.

He was preparing for this day way before, he knew that Emma was bound to come to collect his father's debt. He wanted to be out of the country by then, that plan however was hindered when Emma's call came earlier than expected.

He had to pack his belongings and book a flight to the furthest country on the map from Germany. He chose to leave whole Europe, and settle in a different continent.

"Honey, where are you going?"

"Where are you going?"

Both his wife and father asked at the same time. He ignored his father and looked at his wife. "Away from here." He said. "Pack your bags if you want to come with me otherwise the divorce papers are on the nightstand signed." He added nonchalantly.

"You can't do this to me, you know I can't leave my father!" Amani exclaimed.

"Have a good life then." He told her in the same indifferent tone she was used to hearing from him.

"YOU FUCKING TRAITOR! YOU LED HER HERE, YOU WANT TO KILL YOUR FATHER!" William boomed at his retreating son.

"You were never a father of mine, the father who abused and killed my mother only to bring a whore in her stead is no father of mine! The father who planned with his little group to kill the only person I've ever loved is no father of mine!" Michael who was halfway through the corridor came back and voiced out what he had buried deep in her heart for what feels like thousands of years already. "My life was a living hell because of you, I've pushed every last person I love away from me in fear what you might do with them one day. Because of you, liquor became my best friend since as long as I can remember." Michael continued. "So yeah, I think I want you dead more than anything else." He concluded.

"YOU WILL REGRET THIS, FOR THE REST OF YOU LIFE YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE FACT THAT YOU KILLED YOUR FATHER!" William screamed at his son who was out of the door the moment he finished his speech, with his luggage.

"Where is he?" Emma asked calmly, but her tone held a hint of impatience.

"W- who are you talking abou- Ah, bitch!" Emma didn't have time for this pretence game, so she fished her custom made gun out and shot his right shoulder to show him she was not here for games.

"Where. Is. He?" She repeated.

"H- he's in the safe h- house the M- Monarchs once used." H stuttered out.

"Thank you." She said as she put a bullet between his eyes.

"Two down, one to go." She murmured to herself before she turned to her companions. "Let's head to our last stop in this journey." She said.

Her eyes searched for Amani, but when she didn't spot her she thought she was somewhere weeping out because of what she had to witness combined her husband's behaviour.

Which was true, Amani was indeed crying miseries away in the room she once shared with Michael in the beginning of their marriage.

On the other side Puerto and Sam were busy securing the hospital and working things out.

"Don't you think young miss is going overboard this time?" Puerto asked out of the blue, when they were left alone in one of the hospital rooms they were searching for potential threats.

"Why are you saying that?" Sam asked, looking at him.

"How she said we should kill the doctors and the hospital staff if Müller doesn't make it out alive, I mean I understand how close they are, but death is not something we can blame others on even of those others were doctors." He said.

"Then maybe she should've left you to die under that Fischer guy or bury you with him, and maybe she shouldn't have saved me when I barged right into her den and tried to kill the man she saw as a father figure, maybe she should've left me down with those tigers instead of feeling for my son who would've been orphaned without me. Maybe she should've left him to wander in foster homes!" Sam's voice raised with each word he uttered.

"Hey, dude, chill! I just voiced my thoughts." Puerto backed off.

"She did so much for people that had done nothing but harming her, how do you think she should act with the one man who stood by her side unchanged, through thick and thick, right from the very beginning. If I were her I would've blown that fucking doctor's brain for disobeying my orders that concerned the wellbeing of the man who was laying in a pool of his blood because he was protecting my daughter." Sam said. "She was being courteous with that doctor and his team, and she wouldn't have given the order unless she knows for sure Müller can be saved. You saw how those lazy ass doctors acted when they first saw Müller, their gaze were telling it all. They thought of him as a hopeless case, so they were not even going to try." He reminded.

Puerto nodded his head, telling him that he remembers.

"The stupid fuckers needed to see that the cost of their laziness and uncaring attitude was their lives." Sam continued, explaining Emma's behaviour earlier.

"You seem to be quite fond of her." Puerto remarked.

"I'm not the only one who is, every person in our gang admire and respect her. Their loyalty to other people can be bought except for theirs towards young miss. Why, you ask? Because she didn't buy it, she earned it. Each and every one of them. So should you, one should know when to be grateful. Don't get used to taking things for granted, and don't always forget the tough times where you begged for a helping hand just because you lived them through and now are in a better place. Always remember the alternative, what would have happened if nobody listened to your desperate pleas of help back then. The if that lingered in your mind in your times of need." Sam lectured. His colleague.

Puerto for the first time saw logic to the whole gang's behaviour towards Emma, though he was indeed thankful that she spared him that time and saved him from his evil boss.

That gratitude was indeed, as Sam said, was short lived.

He forgot the depression he prayed with those times, sometimes it was not to be saved but to die because of how brutal the abuse his previous boss was exposing him to.

Emma was different, the only thing she demanded from them was respect, and the reward was hefty.

While living the luxuries he was deprived from for quite awhile, for sometime now, he seemed to have forgotten how to be grateful.

He was glad Sam reminded him of it once again.

Emma did deserve every bit of respect and admiration she was receiving.
