Chapter 79 Sun Region

A few days have passed since the chaos at the dining room happened. Currently, Lilly, Rose and Chrys are all inside the giant room where Chrys usually remains.

"Thank you!" Rose shouted as she went through the door, stumbling for a bit. The cause of this clumsy behavior is the fact she is carrying a long, white suitcase.

Chrys and Lilly watched as Rose continued to struggle to lift the briefcase even after leaving the room.

Chrys looked at Lilly and asked. "Do you want anything else?"

"No, nothing really." Lilly replied before heading for the door.

Chrys then took a seat on a stool before saying out loud. "*cough* Lies! *cough*" Causing Lilly to turn around with a furious expression.

With a vein popping on her forehead, Lilly asked. "What was that, Goldie?!" But when she fully turned around, her furious expression turned to confusion as she saw what Chrys was doing.

Chrys is currently defying gravity by laying on air with only his legs attached to the stool. He then said with straight face. "Come in to my office, Lilly. Tell me your problems while I talk to you in this very comfortable chair."

"Like hell!!!" Lilly screamed at him using her entire lungs. She then asked. "How are you even floating there?!!!"

With a swift motion, Lilly's coat wrapped around her arm and formed a white canvas. The canvas then began folding itself, eventually forming into a metallic snake head.

"Hiyah!" Lilly then flicked her arm forward, sending the metal snake head hurling towards Chrys, who didn't seem too concerned.

The snake head went for the stool, knocking it out the way without much effort. But somehow, Chrys remained floating in the air without any sort of support.

Lilly then recognized that the two long strands of cloth attached to the back of Chrys' jacket are touching the ground.

"Are you done?" Chrys asked with a look of dominance on his face.

"Grrr...!" Lilly could only growl at him for her reply as her snake head went back to her side. Which then melded back into her black coat.

"Oops! Getting lightheaded." Chrys said before leaving his gravity defying position and standing up properly.

He took a few steps towards Lilly while asking. "But seriously, Lilly. What's wrong?"

Taking a few steps backwards, maintaining her distance from Chrys, Lilly then replied. "Nothing really... Nothing that I can't handle."

Seeing Lilly's efforts of staying away from him, Chrys stopped his advance before saying. "Is that so..."

Chrys examined Lilly's blank expression very thoroughly. He scratched the back of his head while saying. "Actually, on a completely other note..."

"I talked to the others about their willingness to go over to the Sun region. Here are their replies..."

"V's was 'Meh!'. Don't worry that was his entusiastic 'meh'."

"Hela's was a simple 'Okay!'."

"Set's were 'I understand, I'll prepare then'."

"Celine's were 'Fine! I'll go as long as you keep that white-haired 'nice lady' away from me!'."

"The three girls' were a variation of 'Okay'."

"And as for me and Morgan. I think you already know the answer." Chrys then let out a smile as he finished mimicking the others' replies.

Lilly's expression and body movements looks very conflicted at the moment. She is biting down on her lower lip while her face looks like it's bottling up frustration.

While her hands are clenched into fist, her grip is so tight she looks like she is about to punch someone she absolutely loaths. She gritted her teeth for a moment before performing a deep breath.

After seemingly calming down, Lilly asked with a somewhat shaky voice. "When are we going?"

Pretending to ignore her behavior as he continued to smile at her face, Chrys replied. "Set should be fully healed in a week or so. We can leave in a couple days before that. How does four days sound?"

Lilly gave him a nod, very careful to not make any eye contact, while she said. "That sounds good. Gives Set enough time to heal on the way."

"If that's all you want to talk about, I'll take my leave."

"I don't have anything else to say. You can take the remaining time to rest and prepare."

"Okay, then." Lilly then began making her way to the door.

Chrys, who grabbed the fallen stool, placed it down and sat on it, he then said as Lilly was about to leave the room. "Be sure to come back anytime. I quite enjoy your visits."

A mischievious, teasing smile then formed on his face, looking like a bully in a playground.

Lilly froze for a second before replying by taking another step forward, crossing the door, before closing the door in complete and utter silence.

Chrys let out a chuckle before leaning back on his stool with a satisfied smile, breaking gravity once more.

After four days, everyone gathered at the front of the base. Morgan undid the camoflauge on the aircraft before allowing everyone in.

With much of the usual chaos inside, the aircraft managed to lift off and began flying towards the direction of morning sun.

As the inside of the craft was being filled with hostile words and threats, mainly because of Celine and V, Miya commented as she looked to the side. "Lilly seems a bit... off lately?"

Being the only two close enough to hear, Rose and Amber joined in, sharing their own concerns.

"Yeah, I noticed that too."

"Huh? How could you tell?"

"Rose, have you tried paying better attention to other's feelings?"

"Yeah! Yeah! Sorry, I'll be more observant later."

Amber then focused her attention to Miya as she gave casual glances towards Lilly, who is currently trying to get physically close to the perpetually annoyed Celine.

"Looks like Rose is out of this conversation, Miya."

"Ehe, I guess."

"I'm still here and can hear you, you know?"

"Y-yup, it's definitely just us two, Amber."

"Can't agree more."

"Wait! Amber! You're not trying to replace me with Miya, are you?"

"Miya, do you here an annoying buzzing in your ear, or is it just me?"

"I think it's just you, Amber." Miya said.

"Boo, hoo! I'm so sad. Boo, hoo!" Rose said as she began to crying in a very fake manner

"I hate you two." Rose angrily said before going away from them.

After Rose transfered seat, Miya asked Amber. "I think we went too far, Amber. What if she really hates us?"

Amber then took a glance at Rose, who is curled up in a ball next to Hela while still fakely sobbing "Boo, hoo!"

Amber turned back to Miya and said. "Don't fall for her tricks, Miya."

"Uh, okay?"

"Ahem. Now back to topic, I also think that Miss Lilly is acting strange."

"Yes, she has been acting strange since we reunited. Also, didn't Lilly asked us to not call her by Miss or Lady? She'll get mad at you if she hears you."

"Sorry, it's just a slip of the tongue. Please don't tell her."

"I won't."

The two girls then noticed the changing scenery out the window beside them. Their childish curiousity got the better of them, causing them to try and get a better view.

After getting themselves into a comfortable position, Amber and Miya looked out the window.

The great blue sky greeted their eyes as the morning sun continued to rise on the horizon. The expansive desert below slowly getting illuminated as it also slowly recided from the tall cliff faces they were approaching.

"I never thought I could get this high in the sky. I thought only birds could get this kind of view." Miya commented as her voice was filled with astonishment and wonder.

"I feel the same. Aside from the people of Viridis and the Peacekeepers, no one else can experience this view."

Rose, who joined in on their sightseeing and listened to their conversation uninvited, turned to her side and asked Hela sat next to her. "Miss Hela, can I ask where or who you got this aircraft from?"

Hela turned to her with a smile as she replied. "It was here before me."

Rose, looking a bit taken a back, then said. " I guess I'll ask the others some time later. Thank you for answering."

"You're welcome."

As the three girls continued on looking out through the windows, Miya seemed to have remembered something.

She rummeged through the bag she brought for the trip before pulling an item out. It was the wooden box with lenses, also known as the camera.

As she made her way back towards the window, Miya thought as she fidgeted around the camera. "Lilly told me this camera is used to preserve a certain memory by transforming them into pictures..."

"I'll take a picture of this scenery so when I meet back up with everyone in the village, I can show them where I've been and what I've been doing."

Miya then took a picture out off the window. A flash came from the camera after Miya pressed the button.

"Oops!" Miya exclaimed. "Probably should have turned the flash off. Now the picture will be too bright."

She then picked the square film that came out off the camera and shook it. She then thought as she stopped shaking. "I think I've also been told to not shake these pictures since it's bad."

She then took a look on the picture in her hands. It was nothing but a bright light.

"Yup, turning the flash off right now."

She casually threw the photo to the seat beside her before taking the reshoot of the scenery outside the window.

Miya then proceeded to take a picture of everything that caught her interest. A flock of weird-looking birds, cliff faces on the ground, and a giant skeleton-like formation that seemed to span forever.

After taking a few pictures, Miya noticed that apart from the rising sun, the scenery down below is changing.

Once they crossed that giant skeleton, the desert began to show more greenery until it turned into a large forest, and eventually, into an absolutely massive jungle.

Miya couldn't help but feel amazed by the beautiful landscapes and tall trees that seemed to crawl up in the air, growing ever taller to reach the skies.

After a while, Lilly took notice of the pile of photos that Miya has collected so far. She let out a little giggle before walking over to Miya.

She tapped her on the shoulder, causing Miya to jump in place. Seeing that Miya was completely absorbed by taking pictures, Lilly asked. "You have taken quite a few pictures, haven't you, Miya?"

Miya nodded with a bright smile on her face while saying. "Yes, I can't wait to show it to my family."

"That's good, but don't forget to refill the film. That thing isn't infinite after all."

"Yes~!"

As Miya went back to taking more pictures, Lilly mumbled to herself. "Yes... family..."

After flying over the great forest of Vita for a few hours, Lilly stood up from beside Miya as she said. "Wanna see something cool, Miya?"

Miya immediately nodded with a smile filled with bliss.

As Lilly and Miya made their way towards the back, Lilly yelled. "Sister Morgan, I'm taking a look outside!"

"Okay." Morgan replied from within the cockpit.

After Morgan's reply, the ship slowed down and lowered it's altitude, but only a little. After seeing that the ship has lowered it's speed and height, Lilly opened the back door, causing the cold morning wind to greet everyone.

Miya, who was next to Lilly, felt the most of it, thankfully she didn't feel too cold thanks to her wearing her grey fur coat.

Once she opened her eyes, she was greeted by a beautiful landscape. A city weaving through the hilly terrain and mountains. The vibrant colored trees sticking out of the spaces between the lavish looking houses.

Lilly placed her hand on Miya's shoulder as she said with a nostalgic expression. "This is the capital of the Sun region, Saisei City."

*THE BLESSED CITY UNDER THE SUN- SAISEI CITY*

"It's the place of my birth and also where I grew up... and also, where my family resides." Lilly continued with a pained expression.

Miya, who was too enchanted by the scenery, didn't notice Lilly's pained expression.

She grabbed the camera that hung from her neck, and took a picture of the Sun region's capital and Lilly's homeland.
