Chapter 74 Nyad

After the aircraft left them, V and the group went towards the city of Nyad with extreme reluctance.

After taking the most inefficient route, they finally managed to reach town after an hour or so.

"Let's just go find those two bastards and get out of here quickly." V said to the two women with him, Loki was also there, but is currently bonded with Hela's axe.

Lilly has also transformed her hair into a black color, preventing too much attention.

They then walked through the bustling streets, littered with people, animals, and stalls. They put on some disposable cloaks before continuing their walk.

After taking a quick look around, V walked over to a stall to the side while the other two watched from the side.

"Hey, shopkeep. I'm looking for someone, perhaps you saw them?" V asked the man behind the bar.

The man looked at him with a nonchalant attitude as he replied. "Sir, we only serve customers."

V let out a defeated sigh before he threw a coin onto the table as he said. "Fine, give me something to drink."

"Right away, sir. Give me a sec." The man said before bending over to the counter and pulling out a glass mug filled with crystal clear water.

Before V grabbed the glass of water, he dodged to the side as a large spray of water went towards where his face was a second ago.

The water came from the bucket in the shopkeep's hand, who looked extremely shocked at what just happened.

Still in the position when he dodged, V pointed at the man while saying very confidently. "You think you can fool me?! This isn't my first time here, buddy!"

But before anybody else could say anything, a large bathtub, filled to the brim with water, fell down on V's body, causing V to release a "Phwack!!" sound.

As V was still being crushed by the crumbling bathtub, Lilly looked at the rooftop just above them. She saw two people dressed in robes, escaping while shouting. "Run away!!!"

As Hela went over to dig V out of the remains of the bathtub, the black-haired Lilly went past them and headed towards the shopkeeper, who looks extremely pleased with himself.

Lilly let out a sigh before saying. "Do mind answering our question now?"

The man, who still has a cheerful smile on his face, then stated. "Miss, we only serve customers."

Lilly didn't say anything else and just placed a coin on the counter. The man then said. "Right away, miss. The same refreshment as the man before you, I presume?"

Lilly gave him a little nod as the man set the bucket in his hands down as he knelt down into the counter.

Within a second, the man immediately popped up with another bucket full of water as he screamed. "They wouldn't expect it the second time!"

But before the man could empty the contents of the bucket onto Lilly's face, Lilly has already grabbed the glass from V's order and emptied it's contents onto the shopkeeps face.

Lilly barely managed to placed the glass mug back onto the counter, as her hand shook quite vigorously. The man then calmly placed the bucket down to the ground as he grabbed a towel to wipe his face.

As the man wiped his face, Lilly then slightly bowed her head as she said politely. "I'm so sorry. It was a reflex."

The man then slowly placed the towel onto the counter before he yelled. "Boys~!" Gathering the attention of every store owner and their customers, who's faces are filled with a nervous sweat.

Lilly, who still hasn't raised her head, continued. "Please. Don't do this."

But the shopkeep ignored Lilly's please as he raised his arms into the air before shouting. "Water fight!!!"

After saying that, the town erupted into chaos. All the locals pulled out their hidden water supplies and tried to splash the closest person.

Most of the customers tried to run and hide, but ended up getting wet anyway, so they decided to join in the fun.

Meanwhile, Lilly and Hela, who has the unconcious V on her shoulders, ran through the watery battlefield. They managed to get inside an alleyway, freeing them out of the line of fire.

As their soaked hairs dripped water onto their shoulder and backs, Lilly said while looking out towards the street. "I really hate this place."

Then suddenly, a voice that seemed to come from behind said. "On the contrary, I really like this place, young miss."

Lilly and Hela, who still has an unconsious V on her shoulder, turned around and looked deeper into the alleyway.

At the end of the alleyway, a tanned, muscular, young man with a brown ponytail sat on a piece of cloth. He looked very ominous because of the lighting.

The young man then continued. "Welcome to Alex's information services, how may I help you?" He then let out a charming smile as he looked at Lilly and Hela with his briliant emerald eyes with his sclera, the white of the eyes, dyed in the same color as the night sky.

A drop of sweat dripped onto Lilly's forehead as she stared at him.

While Hela thought. "Why is his eye black? Did he stare at the sun for too long?" While she thought of this, V woke up and got off her shoulders.

V vigorously rubbed his hair, spraying water everywhere. He then said. "Dammit! Where do they even get those bathtubs?! Huh? Where are you two looking? Oh..."

As V turned around, he saw the smiling young man about their age, just patiently sitting down on a piece of cloth on the ground.

Lilly went closer to V as she whispered. "If there's one, there's bound to be a hundred more.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." V said as he began walking towards the young man, who looked extremely surprised by his actions.

While maintaining his smile, the young man asked. "You're not going to run? I'm an Immortal, you know?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get it." V replied as he sat down infront of the young man.

Seeing V's action, the young man's smile grew larger. The other two with him approached closer, but kept a good distance between them.

V then said. "Alright, what do you want?"

"I could ask the same to you. What do YOU want?"

"I don't have time to play your games, boy."

Young man was a bit taken aback upon hearing V's reply, but in reality that wasn't what he was taken aback for.

The young pressed his hand onto his chest as he said. "Oh. Please excuse my manners. My name is Alex, pleased to be in your presense."

"V."

"Very well, Mr. V. How may I help you today?"

"Help me?"

"Yes, I'm information broker, or more specifically, an information exchanger."

"I'll help you find information You want while you pay me by giving me some information I want. I heard it's quite a common occurence out here. Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding something. It's my first time going this far out."

"Hmm. What kind off information do you want from us?" V asked.

"Just general Information, but mainly on a single person who went missing long ago. If you answer me with what you know, I'll help you find information on a person or two of your choosing?"

V and Lilly couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at what Alex just said. Meanwhile, Hela was staring blankly into the bright, blue sky up above.

Feeling their suspicious gazes boring into him, Alex then said. "Oh, I apologize for my rudeness. I have been eyeing your group since you entered town. I get the feeling you guys are looking for someone, just like me. Besides, you guys didn't think I was just sitting here waiting for customers, did you?"

Lilly and V showed a bit of annoyance because of Alex's polite and honest way of speaking. They looked at each other for a moment, but immediately returned their attention to Alex, who is still giving them a smile.

V then closed his eyes as he thought.

"Hmm, so he's one of the gazes looking at us. I couldn't really tell because I thought it was just one of the weirdoes in the city."

"But this is bad, one wrong move then his entire entorage will jump at us. Arhh, what a pain!"

"But if they're here, that means they might be the reason those two idiots haven't come back. Do I ask him about them?"

"No, maybe they already captured those two and saying their description might make us their enemies."

"Arrgh, this is such a pain in the ass. This is why I let Goldie do these kinds of thinking. Screw it!"

V then opened his eyes as he asked. "We are looking for a man with pink hair? A bit on the tanned side and has a burn scar on the right side of his torso, do you know him?"

Alex then placed his hand on his chin, seemingly pondering. He then said. "Hmm, I don't recognize the description. But I can ask my siblings if you want?"

"Your siblings, huh?"

"Yes, my siblings."

Feeling V and Lilly reluctance, Alex then said. "Oh, you don't have to worry. I'll tell my siblings to hold back on giving 'usual treatment' since I get the feeling you guys are strong, isn't that right, pretty lady?" Alex then smiled handsomely towards the direction of the grey-haired Lilly.

"Hurgh." After seeing Alex's charming smile, Lilly could only released a grunt of acknowledgement.

After receiving Lilly's weak reaction, Alex let out a little chuckle before standing up. This action caused V to also stand up and be wary of Alex.

Alex then began walking, he passed V and Hela no problem, he then proceeded to give Lilly a passing glance.

Seeing that Alex was leaving, V then asked. "Where are you going?"

Alex turned around and said with a confused look on his face. "To my siblings of course. Didn't I just say... I was going to ask them?"

"And, I don't think we said yes." V responded with hostility in his voice.

Even though Alex could feel V's hostility, he remained calm, even giving a smile as he said. "I believe you just said yes."

Without waiting for V's reaction, Alex continued. "Oh, I just remembered. My siblings in this city are all male, older than me. So they might not listen to my request."

He then looked at Hela and Lilly before saying. "I suggest you two go somewhere and hide since my older brothers don't have the same level of... tolerance as me."

He then pointed at V as he spoke. "You can follow me if you want, and of course, I promise not too turn you into a present for my sisters."

After saying that, Alex released one final smile before turning around and continued his walk.

After Alex has turned the corner, Lilly went over to V.

She gave him a little kick to the shin, gaining V's attention. Seeing the look on Lilly's face, V could tell what she wanted.

"Fine. I'll go with him to make sure he doesn't cause trouble. I also suggest you follow his warnings and go hide somewhere." V stated.

"Yeah, yeah, you know where we will go. Hela, follow me." Lilly said.

With that, Lilly and Hela went off in a direction while V scratched the back of his neck before following Alex.
