Morgan ran past the broken and run down buildings with Amber willingly following behind.
Amber looked to her left, and saw a huge building made of stone with big windows on it's side.
"Isn't that the one of the buildings, Golden Hands mentioned?" Amber asked Morgan with a nervous tone.
"Yes it is, but that's not the one we are heading in." Morgan answered monotonously.
Her answer only sparked Amber to ask another question with a confused face. "But, he said that it has a wide open space so your bow-"
"And I'm pretty sure nobody would want to talk me, when I have that sort of advantage over them. Let the others handle that one." Morgan replied in monotone before Amber could finish her sentence.
"O-okay." Amber said as she followed Morgan quietly, as they headed towards a multi-story building with a red flag on top of it.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town. V run passed many buildings. Even a building with stone foundations with a broken side.
He had only one destination in mind, a theater with a water tower.
As it stands right now, the very same building is only a running distance away from him.
On the right side of town, Hela and Rose approached the workshop building with the big windows with their weapons drawn.
On the left side of town, Lilly and Miya went in the reached the main entrance to the building with the broken side and the stone foundations.
Lilly and Miya entered the building through the door cautiously.
The door led to a wide open room with ruined stone walls. The floor has many indents, cracks, and rubble all across the floor itself.
As if by a script, a woman walked out from behind a ruined wall, and stood a good distance away from them.
The woman had a large feathered hat, and loose brown clothing. The woman had a rapier made of a bone material in her left hand.
"Pleased to with you, Origami and... little girl." The woman greeted Lilly and Miya.
"My name is Seena." The woman introduced herself, as she took the hat off her head, pressed it to her chest, and performed a bow.
"May I ask your 'real names'?" Seena said, as she placed the hat back on her head.
Before anybody else could speak, an explosion shook the earth.
"Guess the boss already started his fight, huh?" Seena commented.
"Guess your quite the talkative type." Lilly said to her with a smile.
"Knowing that, won't make it easier to make talk about the location of your precious core." Seena replied with a smile as well.
"Tsk!" Lilly clicked her tongue in annoyance.
Inside another building with a water tower on top, two men are staring at each other.
"That's quite an explosion, don't you think so, bud? By the way my name is York, if you're wondering." The one of the men said. The man named York has brown hair and a harpoon made from a steely substance.
"God damn it! Why do I always get the weird ones?" V cursed out loud.
"You're a rude one, aren't you Mister Chaos Herald?" York commented on V's behavior as he readied his weapon.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town. Inside a workshop building with big windows.
"Jeez, if they told me it was that loud. I would have covered my ears. Don't you think so?" An unarmed woman asked.
"Yes, a warning would have been nice, Lady Nessa." Rose replied with a wary smile after taking her hands off of her ears.
Hela only stared at them as she gripped her axe tighter.
Inside a multi story building with a red flag on top. A woman with knives on both of her hands as she leaned on corner wall.
She is staring at Morgan and Amber, who are also staring at her.
"Hello... ain't I a lucky one." The woman said as she played with the knives on her hands.
"I'm a fan at what you do, Mad Lion, or do you prefer your other title? The failed princess of Avalon." The moment the woman said those words, Morgan drew bow, and shot an arrow towards her.
"Whoa, there!" The woman said as she dodged the arrow by going around the corner.
"Do you wanna know where the core is or what?" The woman calmly said, without coming out of her cover.
"We have three, maybe four other chances to make somebody else talk. We don't need trash like you." Morgan said with a blank face, as the meter on her bow reached yellowish-orange.
"Oh, so scary." The woman said, as she ran deeper into the building.
At the center of town, Chrys said to the man in front of him. "Well, that's one way to introduce yourself."
The man didn't say anything in response, but instead drew a pair of pistols from his holsters.
The pistols sucked in air for a moment, before shooting a pair of blue spheres.
Chrys didn't dodge the blue spheres, and took it straight to his chest. A golden aura intercepted the blue projectiles, preventing Chrys from taking damage.
"Those are some awfully familiar weapons you got there. Mind telling me where and who gave you those?" Chrys asked as he stood up from his seat and taking a few steps forward.
Chrys looked at him with serious look in his eyes.
"Fuck off." The man repliedas he shot once more.
Like the one before, Chrys didn't dodge, and just let the golden aura around him block the projectiles for him.
"Tsk!" The man clicked his tongue as he started to run towards the right.
Suddenly, the ground raised in front of him, and blocked his path.
"They should have told that it's very hard to meet me and leave alive. Now, where are your employers?" Chrys said as he continued to glare at him.
Chrys has his right hand on a pillar made of earth, that looks like it was pulled straight from the ground.
"Die." The man said, he shot another set of projectiles towards Chrys, as he started to move towards the left.
Like the two before it, Chrys blocked them, with the golden aura around him.
"It's useless. Just tell me where the core i, and the location of your 'employers'?" Chrys demanded in a calm tone.
"Fuck off, you murderer!" The man shouted, as he shot a volley of projectiles.
"That is true... Haaaa…" Chrys sighed.
"Negotiations never work with you guys." Chrys continued.
The moment Chrys said those words the pillar of rock where he has his hand placed, glowed a golden color for a fraction of a second.
The glow disappeared as fast as it appeared. Another second later, the ground underneath the man formed a spike and shot towards his legs.
The man narrowly managed to escape getting his legs impaled.
Before the man could even catch his breath. A bunch of spikes formed on the ground and shot towards him.
The man ran away as the spikes formed all over the ground and seemed to chase him.
All the while, Chrys is just leaning on the pillar by his side as he watched the man struggle.
The spike eventually caught up to him and was now right behind him.
The man turned around, and shot the spikes right behind him. The spikes were destroyed but were quickly replaced by another newly formed set of rock spikes.
The spikes extended towards him like a wave as they tried to swallow him whole.
The man jumped backwards to avoid the wall of spikes approaching him.
Another set of spikes formed behind him and extended towards his back.
The man firmly placed his feet on the ground and jumped straight into the air. He evaded the spike by only a few hair strands.
He landed on the same spikes he evaded, and immediately after, the man pointed his guns towards Chrys.
Before he could shoot, another wall of spikes headed his way. He performed another jump to evade the spike wall.
While still airborne, he readied his guns again and pointed them towards Chrys, who was casually standing in the middle of town. out in the open, without cover.
A low rumbling sound made its way to the man's ears. Suddenly, a massive spike emerged from the ground and headed straight for the man.
The man clicked his tongue, as he kicked his leg in the open air. The kick had enough force to get him out of the way of the massive spike.
The man began to fall to the ground, but the place where he was going to land was layered with a bunch of skyward-facing spikes.
The ground underneath him looked like a bed of nails, and the closest clear ground he had was about five meters away.
The man then ripped his left sleeve, revealing a metal sheet around his wrist that was wrapped in chain, which ended with a scythe-like head.
He loosened the chains and threw the scythe head towards the empty ground.
The scythe embedded itself into the ground with ease. The man then pulled the chain with all of his might, pulling himself towards the empty space.
The man narrowly escaped the bed of spikes thanks to the maneuver he just did.
He then proceeded to rip his other sleeve, revealing another pair of chains attached to a scythe head.
He grabbed the scythe head from the ground and readied himself for another set of attacks.
You're not bad, but you're not good enough to take me down. Just surrender and answer my question, will you? " Chrys said to the man.
"Die!" In response, the man yelled as he aimed his guns at Chrys and fired.
