Chapter 130 Determination

As she walked down a corridor, something seems to be inside of Jade's mind.

Every step she took, her expression would change. Confident, to doubtful, to worried, to convinced, to agitated, to frustrated, to angry, trying to calm herself down, neutral, and finally, confident once more.

As she passed through the many halls of the Jade region's palace, she was then greeted by a servant that she bumped into.

"Hello, Princess. Can I help you with something?"

"No. Nothing in particular."

"I see. Sorry for bothering you, Princess. I'll be taking my leave now."

As the servant continued on doing what they were doing, Jade just followed them with her gaze.

Her expression softened up a bit, but it slowly got whittled down into an expression of doubt and hesitation.

As she continued to walk, a few more servants bumped into her, saying the exact same thing.

"Princess, can I help you with something?"

"Princess, how may I be of service for you today?"

"Do you need help with something, Princess?"

But, Jade replied to them in the same way as well.

"Sorry, I don't need help right now."

"I'll be fine on my own, thank you."

"I can do all of the things I need to do by myself, sorry if that came out wrong."

After turning down every servant that offered their services to her, she finally stopped her journey.

Infront of her, lay a grand door, looming over her like a mountain.

After steeling herself with a deep breath, she pushed the door open.

As she went past the threshold, she was greeted with a face full of warmth.

Accompanying the sun, a gust of wind blew in Jade's direction, blowing her hair to the side as she looked on.

As her gaze was being filled with a beautiful courtyard, a guard, from the side of the door she exited, asked her in a polite way.

"Princess, how may I help you today?"

To which Jade responded as she gently closed her eyes. "I am fine. I can handle the matter on my own."

"I understand. But, Princess, the meeting of the family heads will begin in about an hour or so. Whatever you may need to do, we can help."

Jade then replied gently. "No, it has to be me. I can make it back in time."

"I understand. I shall then return to my watch."

Jade then whispered softly. "Thank you."

After she finished talking with the guard, she traversed down the beautiful courtyard. Green grass, vibrant trees, a tiled path, and a little pond to the side with little petals floating about.

As she continued to walk, her expression changed once more. Her soft looking expression turned into a hard, resolute expression.

After walking through the courtyard, she stood before a massive gate in the middle of a long wall.

And without saying anything, the gates opened for her.

As she went through, she gave the guard maning the gate a little nod as she passed through.

After the gate closed behind her, she now found herself on a stone bridge, adorned by vibrant green trees off to the side, in the middle of a shallow lake that spans a large area around the palace.

As she walked down the stone bridge, a few of the tree's leaves went past her face.

She stopped for a moment as she said to herself. "I don't know why he hates these trees so much." Before continuing her walk a moment later.

After a few minutes of just casual walking, with a hint of hesitation, Jade has reached the other side.

Like before, the gates opened before her without even being told to do so.

After giving the stationed guards a little nod of acknowledgement, Jade has now found herself in the city.

Walking through the rather clean streets, Jade walked with ease for the Jade region's officials have made preparations for the upcoming meeting.

As she walked down the partitioned street, she was greeted by a few guards on patrol and the nobles on their way to the meeting.

"Princess. Good afternoon. May I help you with something?"

"No, but good afternoon to you aswell."

"Aah, Princess. I hope you are participating in the meeting aswell."

"I am. I just have to do something else. I'll be back before it starts."

"I understand, Princess. May I lend some of my guards to help you?"

"No, it's not really that important. It's more of a personal matter."

"I understand. Thank you for tolerating me. I'll be going now."

After walking down the streets for a few more minutes, she found herself in a slightly filled street.

Then, in front of a familiar looking building, Jade began to look around.

To her left, a grand, walled of building sat on a little mound.

To her right, a set of stores are built.

In front of her, a crowd of people are doing their own daily things.

Then, from behind her, a voice spoke. "You seem a little lost, Princess. How can I help?"

Then, after turning around in a quick motion, Jade faced a man and two others that she recognize.

"Mr. Razor. Fancy seeing you here." Jade said with a friendly smile.

Then, as his sunglasses absorbed the sunlight, Razor replied with a smile. "I don't think it's a coincidence that we met once more. Was I the one you were looking for?"

With a smile still on face, Jade responded. "Why do you say that?"

"Hi."

"Hello, Hela."

Razor then looked to his left, staring directly at the building atop the little mound, as he said. "You just have that look, Princess. How about we go back to that tea house? This time, it's my treat."

Matching Razor's smile, Jade replied. "Of course. I just so happen to have a few questions for you, Mr. Razor."

With a little chuckle, Razor led his group of two and Jade back to a certain tea house. The one that is called Purple Turtle.
