Chapter 115 Sun Rise

Waking up to the gentle morning sun rays and the cool breeze that rubbed against her cheek, Morgan woke up from her bed.

As she turned to her side, she saw Hanabi, sleeping peacefully beside her.

And with a slow and quite motion, she got out of bed, opened the front door and poked her head out.

Looking left and right with vigilant eyes, Morgan looked around the outside while looking very cautious.

"What are you doing~?"

Hearing a voice coming from behind her, she turned. Only to see Hanabi, still laying down, staring at her with sleepy eyes.

"I was just looking around."

"Okay~ You don't have to worry, Mo-chan. No one will hurt you here... I'm sleeping in." Hanabi said as she turned around and continued to sleep.

With an odd tone, Morgan replied. "Yes."

And now, on the otherside of the valley, within the Jade city's palace, a fierce looking woman wearing a violet outfit stood in a hallway.

With a loud, proud voice, she yelled at a door. "Matt! Your jail time is over!"

And with a swift, violent motion, the door swung open. Showing Matt, with a grin on his face, said. "Finally! My chains have been broken! Fear me world!!!"

As Matt took a step out of his room, the fierce looking lady said with a confident smile. "Repeat what you did again. I love the feeling of throwing you face first into a wall."

"Haha! So funny! Also... was it really Tat who sold me out?"

"Yes, he is in the courtyard with the others."

"He's dead!" After saying that, Matt ran down the hall like a maniac.

But before he could get far, he turned around and asked. "Mae, you telling me this doesn't forgive you for what you guys did to me yesterday."

"I'm counting on it, little shit." Mae replied with a proud grin.

"By the way, how do you like my room?" Matt asked.

Mae turned to look inside his room through the open door. She turned to him, giving an odd looking smile, she responded. "Nice."

"Then, you are forgiven. Bye!"

Then, Matt continued to run like a complete psychopath. And after a while of running, with the most blood curdling voice he could muster, he yelled. "Tat!!!"

As he screamed that, he kicked down a door leading outside, posing in the most intimidating fashion right after.

A total of seven people are currently in the courtyard, staring at him.

Then, one of them spoke. "You done?"

To which Matt replied, acting as if nothing happened. "Yep! I'm done."

Then, Matt's eyes landed on a certain man. A man with a greyish-black rat tail wearing a light green outfit, who also locked eyes at him.

Then, they slowly approached each other, shadow looming over their eyes, walking very menacingly.

And as a gust of wind dramatically blew into their direction, they asked each other.

"How do you plead, you little rodent?"

"I'm a rat, little shit. And I don't need to plead to you, trash."

As they continued to menacingly stare at each other, the others around them gathered on a bench with one of them asking. "When are they going to start? I'm getting bored."

"You fool! They have already started." One replied.

"Let me guess, it's because they're having a battle we can't see?"

"Yes! It is a battle of wits! It is a battle of determination! A battle of fate! It is... A STAND BATTLE!!!"

"I knew it..." One said with a sigh.

Then, Mae from earlier came into the courtyard saying. "Oh, how dare start without me!" Before joining the other two in their epic staring contest.

Then, with a swift motion, Matt punched a leaf into Mae's face, letting it roll down her cheek.

And with a smile on her face, she said. "Ohh! How dare you?!" Before sending a punch for Matt's face.

As it was about to make contact with his face, Matt blocked it with his palm while saying. "You think you are worthy of touching my face, you mere mortal?"

And with that, a brawl started between the two as the third player, Tat, the man with the rat tail, walked over to the rest, who then yelled. "Booo! Quitter!"

"No, just... no." He said before taking a seat for himself as they watched the other two fight with their fists.

As Mae landed a graze on Matt's cheek, Matt leapt backwards while wearing a smile before he entered a stance.

And after a split second, his hands and legs seemingly began to blur.

After seeing this, Mae, with a grin, also entered a stance. Then, her dress began growing stripes as she emitted a low growl as she continued to smile fearlessly.

Then, her feet and hands began emitting a purple light, a violet blaze. The flame rose up in the sky while forming in the shape of purple flowers.

And with a brief silence, they engaged each other.

Every step Mae took, left flaming footprints on the grass as her violet flame continued to burn.

While Matt, left echoes of his limbs where he walked. The psuedo limbs mimicked his movement albeit with a bit of delay.

Once they were close enough, with a grin still on their faces, they struck.

Mae's flaming fist went straight for Matt's face. While Matt's leg went straight up, deflecting her blow upwards, shooting off a violet flame into the sky before it exploded in a beautiful display.

And with that, they continued their exchange.

Mae's violet flames often were often deflected, causing it to shoot off and explode. Curiously, it did no damage to anything it touched. Not the ground, not the flowers, nor the people that watched close by.

Meanwhile, every movement that Matt makes leaves an after image which then follows his following movements. Making him look like a blurred mess of limbs and blows.

After a few exchanges, Mae found herself on the defensive. Because every blow that Matt makes, his after images would follow.

A straight punch on Mae's forearm would soon be followed by a bluish semi-transparent fist doing the exact same motion, then another, then another. All of Matt's after images would hit the exact same way he did with the same force with a little bit of delay.

But as the after images was doing his previous motion, Matt would continue to throw blows. Forcing Mae to feel an endless cycle of blows without an opening, almost as if she was fighting a constant downpour of rain that hits like a gentle slap.

Still with smile on her face, Mae lowered her guard, allowing Matt's blows to hit her directly as she winded up a huge blow.

Matt saw it ahead of time and backed off, but his after images still continued to mimic his previous actions before they finally went back with him.

All of this did not bother Mae in the slightest as she threw a full powered blow towards Matt, sending a wall of blazing violet flower towards Matt.

With a confident smile, Matt just stood there, allowing the violet flames to go near him without any resistance.

But, as if following by their own rules, the flames did not burn a single hair on Matt's body, nor did it burn a grass he stood on, nor the flowers and the walls behind him, only burning the leaves that danced in the air that dared meet their path.

With arrogant looking faces, Mae and Matt continued to attack each other while still smiling like children.

All of these things happened while the rest of the people in the courtyard just rested on a bench on the side while doing their own things, like yawning, and staring at the birds.

Then, as the two continued to fight, a door leading to the palace's halls opened. Revealing a well-groomed middle aged man with straight black hair and emerald eyes.

His dominant glare scanned the courtyard with a calm and respectable aura.

As his eyes landed on the now empty bench, a total of seven individuals kneeled before him, while the remaining two in the courtyard are still going at each other with bright smiles.

They then said. "Good morning, Lord Jade. How may we help you today?"

"Be at ease."

"..." The people kneeling before him remained unmoving, but they raised their heads to look at him.

"I am looking for Jade. I thought she was here so I came." Lord Jade stated.

"Do you want us to send her a message, Your Highness? She mentioned she was a bit tired yesterday, so she might still be in bed."

"Please do, Shan. Tell her to meet me at the dining hall. I wish to have breakfast with her. It has been awhile."

With a nod, a female from the group left.

"May we help you with something else, Your Highness?"

Then, Lord Jade's eyes landed on Mae and Matt, who were a little bit too distracted to notice his presence.

Following where his gaze was pointing at, someone asked. "Do you wish for us to stop them?"

To which Lord Jade responded. "No. Just enjoy your morning." Before turning back into the inside of the palace before leaving.

As he left, the poeple kneeling said with a sigh. "Yes, we will, Your Highness."

Just as Lord Jade left, Mae managed to get behind Matt and wrap her hands around his waist.

Before Mae could do anything, Matt said while still smiling. "Don't do it!"

Then, Mae, with a smile, did it. She yelled her move as she did it as well. She yelled. "Suplex!!!"

She lifted Matt in the air before slamming him backwards onto the ground.

She then took a few steps back to marvel at her work, but then, Matt appeared behind her, soil still falling from his head, wrapped his hands around her waist as he yelled. "Suplex Suplex!!!" Before doing what Mae did to him moments prior.

As if acting out a previous scene, Matt took a few steps back to marvel ar his work, but then, Mae appeared behind him, blades of grass sticking out of her hair, wrapped her hands around his waist before yeliing. "Suplex Suplex Suplex!!!"

The scene repeated itself as they continued to switch roles. Making sure to add another 'Suplex' in the phrase while they're at it.

As they made a weird cartwheeling thing with their bodies by suplexing each other, they managed to leave the courtyard without stopping our ruining the pattern.

All of this happened while the remaining six other people left in the courtyard just watched.

And then, with near simultainous motion, they all pressed a finger on their nose as they said. "Not it!"

And then, they all turned to a single woman in the group doing the exact same thing they were doing as they all stated. "Joan, you were last."

To which the one named Joan said. "Aww, come on! Why is it always me?!" Before following the suplexing duo with slumped shoulders.

As she surrendered herself to the fate she wasn't able to prevent, a person from the group said. "Haha! Get fucked!"
