Chapter 10

I have been reading my previous chapters and I have found a lot of spelling mistakes. Please ignore them. Most of them are from autocorrect or from me tapping the wrong button on my phone especially with my big thumbs but I know it can be annoying so I'll try and not make mistakes in this chapter.

Ben got up from his bed to go and answer the door. Surprisingly, it was Ollivander with a box in his hand. But before Ben could say anything, Ollivander quickly said

"I have spent all night making this wand. I underestimated my excitement of creating such a wand that I got carried away and started it as soon as you left. I even shut my shop down early yesterday because of this. I stayed up all night making it, so go on. Give it little wave."

"Straight to business are we. Let me just say first. Thank you for making me this wand" said Ben as he picked up the wand and as soon as he did he felt an instant connection to the wand as his magic filled the wand.

"Ahh. I have never seen such a connection between a wand and its wizard. I would like to get a better look but I have to get off back to my store" And just like that Ollivander was off.

Ben was excited now that he had a wand so he practised his spell.

-Time skip - 1st of September-

Its a big day today. Ben is finally going to Hogwarts. Over the last month and few days, Ben practiced spells and got himself an etching kit for runes. He added a lot of runes to his wand. From runes that increases the efficiency of his magic input to magic out put all the way to runes that only allow him to summon his wand to his hand. It was very exciting for Ben as he added the runes.

Now, he was still in the Leaky cauldron. Ben was told by Tom that there are portkeys that take people to a designated area at Platform 9 3/4. Ben used this portkey, along with other people, to get to the Platform and he was stunned at the sight of the train. He knew he would be at Hogwarts by the end of the day. As he look around the Platform and spotted a familiar face. It was Hermione. So he went over to her as she was struggling to get her trunk into an empty compartment.

"Need any help?"

"Yes please… it's you. The one who bumped into me at Flourish and Blotts. Ben, was it?"

"Yes it was and I remember correctly, it's Hermione. Do you mind me sitting with you?"

"Not at all"

So Ben helped Hermione with her trunk and they both sat down and talked and soon the train started moving.

For the next few hours, Ben and Hermione chatted about books and about Hogwarts itself as well as the different houses. Hermione was adamant to join Gryffindor as Albus Dumbledoor was a part of that house by Ben managed to convince her to try and join Ravenclaw because of the house library in the Ravenclaw common room. At dusk there was an announcement that they were nearing Hogwarts so everyone should get changed into there robes and to leave their trunks in the train as they will be moved to everyone's room tonight.

Of course, Ben, being the gentleman he is, got changed in the corridor so Hermione can get changed in the compartment. Luckily nobody else was in the corridor. When he got the all clear from Hermione, Ben went back into the compartment and started talking to Hermione again.

Soon the train arrived at Hogsmeade station. To which every student got out of the train and started to chat amongst themselves when a booming voice was heard.

"First Year Over Here. First Years Over Here" said a giant man

All of the first years went up the man which Ben knew as Hagrid.

"Alright, Everyone here? Good. Follow me"

Hagrid took them down a path down to a small dock. As everyone made it to the dock the could see Hogwarts in all of its beauty.
