Truth or dare

Cal froze in the middle of the room and looked sternly at the egg.

"When you were asleep, he came up to you and looked at you for a long time. What do you think he did?"

"No way!"

"I'm telling you, you'll soon see for yourself!"

It was a dead end. He couldn't win the argument with the egg. But he didn't believe him, didn't want to, wasn't ready.

The Fourth Elder was coming today, and who knows what would happen. Just in case, he thought about masking Liam with invisibility or relocating him to Seventh.

Waiting for Nood and Rashid to show up, Cal used Rashid's appearance and made a quick run around the grounds, hoping to scout the situation. He learned through this that the Academy had initiated a special meeting of the Elders.

The re-election of the Head was on the agenda.

"Damn uncle!" - Cal was angry.

He almost ran into the man himself as he made his rounds. However, when he saw the Elder, he cleverly hid and hurried back into the room. When he arrived, he learned that the Fourth had been looking for him.

He wanted to speak in person to the student who had found his nephew and thank him.

"Ugh, how phony," thought Cal, and he didn't go anywhere for fear of exposure. He had a good reason - the dragon egg.

In the room.

The head was reading. Nood and Rashid were lying on the floor, then they got bored and came up with the idea of playing a game, only two players weren't enough.

"Dear Head, let's play truth or action, Leon, will you join us?" the teacher and the student met their gazes.

One is in a complacent mood, and the other is tense to the extreme.

"Sure, let's play," the teacher answered for him.

"Ha ha ha! It smells fried!" - Legion laughed.

Cal clenched his fists. Just in case, he had placed beacons outside to know if anyone came close, but now it wasn't safe inside either. He already knew that Nood and Rashid were close, so their games might be too much...

"I'd play too..." - said the lone dragon.

"Mentor!" called Cal suddenly.

"Yes..." Liam broke away from his book and looked at his student with an unspeakably sweet look.

"Well, can you be that nice?!" Cal almost gasped at that look.

"Staring at your sweet bun?" Legion cut in.

Cal couldn't handle it, jumped out of the room, and ran wherever he could see.

"Ha-ha-ha-ha! Weakling!" Legion shouted after his master.

Of course, Liam had been secretly watching Cal the whole time and had roughly figured out what was going on.

The teacher calmly got up from the bed and walked over to the egg and put his palm on top of it.

"If you insult my pupil, upset and pester him, I will call my big dragon Zhu-Er and he will devour you, not even a bone left, do you understand me?"

"My bad... I won't do it again... but what did I say... the teacher is nice, and you're not nice, you're threatening me! And I'm just a kid! You're mean!"

"Shut up and keep your opinion to yourself."

"Aah, save me, Cal come back!"

"You should call him Leon..."

"..."

"And this conversation never happened, sleep!"

From the outside, the Head seemed worried about Legion's condition. He stroked the ragged eggshell so gently and leaned over to listen to the dragon's heartbeat.

And only Legion knew that this Teacher was not to be trifled with, especially when it came to Cal.

When Cal recovered his senses, Liam was dozing with his book, Legion was snoring, and Nood and Rashid were asleep. Walking around the room, he took care of everyone, beginning with the Head.

For the students on the floor, he donated his blanket but woke up again covered.

It turned out that Liam had given him his blanket. No, that is not right. He covered the Chapter again and wanted to go out for air, but the Teacher took his hand.

"Just lie down next to me, there's plenty of room."

The apprentice was almost at a loss for words. He shook his head and ran out of the room again in shock. To recover, he jumped onto the roof and sat there in the cold until dawn.

The egg was one day away from hatching, and Leon's room was noisier than ever. After lunch, Unner and his Yolk came in, and Seven stopped by. She didn't come through the doors, though, but cut through the fabric of the space, and immediately apologized for the intrusion.

She brought lots of candy for Liam, saying it contained healthy vitamins. She also brought some scrolls for Leon. Among them was one of particular value. If he mastered a new technique, you could turn back time 30 seconds. It was a godsend.

Cal spent the whole morning studying the scroll and memorizing the complicated combinations.

Meanwhile, the company inside was having a good time. Nood and Rashid were playing truth or dare, after all, and Cal could hear the Seventh Elder clucking distinctly.

Rascals! Finally, he too got off the roof and joined the game.

First, he had to answer a question.

He drew out a question and choked up.

[Is there someone you love here?]

What kind of boring questions are these? But the company erupted in laughter and demanded a truthful answer. Giving up, Cal said: "Yes."

Everyone fell silent and then burst into laughter and applause.

No one knew who Cal had in mind. It might even have been his dragon, which, by the way, was suspiciously silent for a long time.

"Hey Legion, I'm worried, why are you so quiet?"

"Ask him over there," Legion nodded at the teacher.

"Did he scold you?" - Cal wondered.

"He sure did! Threatened to feed me to Zhu-Er if I kept teasing you. By the way, is this Zhu-Er big?"

Cal laughed and didn't answer the question. Again it was his turn, now it was "action," all right. Cal stuck his hand in the bag and pulled out his assignment:

[Kiss the one you love.]

Holy shit! Who wrote these stupid assignments?!

Confused, he didn't know what to do, his instinct told him to just run out of the room one more time, but Seventh touched his sleeve and whispered: "Thirty seconds."

It hit him! That's right, he could afford to do something stupid and if he got out in time, he could manage to cover it up!

He stood up and asked his guests to close their eyes, only then would he complete the task.

"That's not fair!" objected Nod.

"Well...I guess...it's embarrassing," blushed and embarrassed the youngest Unner.

The company began reluctantly to close their eyes.

Liam sat on the floor among his friends the whole time and his leg went numb. He struggled to get up and sat down in a chair a little away.

A candle burned beside him.

In the hanging silence, Cal could hear his heart pounding painfully.

As he approached noiselessly, he extinguished the candle... slowly he leaned over...

The man in the chair shuddered and opened his eyes to close them at once from the rush of feeling and drew his warm lips to him again.

"One, two, three, four..." - counted in the mind of a distraught Cal.

Those soft warm lips didn't even think to resist, and the heat of the kiss began to consume his sanity.

"Liam knows who I am, it's obvious...but it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter anymore...I'm exposed..." Cal touched his crystal and carried them to the roof.

There, in the shade of a large tree, they couldn't tear themselves away from each other for much longer than thirty seconds... The cold outside didn't touch them at all because of the heat between their bodies.

The apprentice understood that all was lost, but this special man meant more to him than all the time put together.

Liam didn't let him go either. What had happened to this righteous man? Had his time apart changed him so much?

Cal pulled away first.

"No," Liam whispered greedily, "just a second more..."

And he drew his apprentice to him again, encasing him in sensual, wet captivity.

Suddenly there were screams from the room below, and Cal shuddered and turned his ears up.

"Aaaaah, what's that?" Rashid shrieked.

"An egg! An egg?!" Unner's voice was heard.

The teacher and the student looked at each other, and Cal moved them into the next room, from which they came out as if nothing had happened and found chaos: the curtains were blazing and the carpet was smoldering, and Nood and Rashid were beating the flames with a blanket.

The egg did crack, and a small dragon was flying around the room, red-hot to the point of lava. The teacher grabbed Cal by the sleeve and said to call him by name.

"Legion!" the student called sternly, and the disoriented dragon suddenly came to its senses. "Cool down and come down, Legion," Cal commanded firmly. The dragon obediently lowered its temperature and began a clumsy descent.

Almost reaching the floor, it rolled over and bumped into Cal's boots.

The apprentice picked it up in his arms and regarded it curiously. The frightened guests sighed in relief. After extinguishing the last pockets of fire, Unner opened the doors and windows to ventilate the dwelling.

"We'll have to replace the curtains, the carpet, and some of the furniture, but overall the room is still habitable," The Mentor summed up.

Cal nodded and scolded the apprentice pet with a smile:

"What have you done?"

The one looked guiltily from under his forehead, then licked his hand. Rashid came to a complete delight at the cuteness of the moment and squealed with delight.

Nood had to cover his mouth with his hand and restrain him from acting rashly. Unner came up to examine the little dragon progenitor with interest.

Everyone's attention was riveted on this amazing creature and everyone seemed completely oblivious to the strange events that had preceded the Legion's hatching.

The culprit of the commotion grasped his clawed paws at his master and shrank slightly from everyone's attention. Then, as if remembering something important, he poked his muzzle into Cal's hand.

"Did I think of it well? He told him through his thoughts," you kidnapped the teacher, and I diverted their attention. Didn't I do good?"

Cal laughed at his pet's resourcefulness and stroked him on the back.

"You did a great job of saving me. Thank you," his master replied.

Then Unner suddenly remembered and asked.

"Leon, where did you and Mentor disappear to?"
