Killing a Grade 3 Monster

"What problem?" Long Chen quickly asked. What he wanted the most to do right now was to go and hunt for monsters.

"We…are enemies of the Wild Wolf Gang, and this few days, the Wild Wolf Gang managed to get support from an unknown power, and has been increasing in strength. They now have 1 Elementary Realm master, and I'm afraid that we go out at this time, we may suffer from disastrous losses." Hun Yun heavily sighed as he replied.

"An Elementary Realm master? Aren't you already one? And with me here, that makes up two Elementary Realm. Unless he is a mid-stage or late-stage Elementary Realm, what is there to worry about?" Long Chen did not bother to divulge the fact that he is in the Elementary Realm. After all, he is wearing a disguise on his face, and there was nothing really unusual about him being about to reach it.

It just meant that his talent was a bit higher than the rest. Which is why Long Chen was not worried.

And the name Wild Wolf Gang sounded quite familiar to him. It was those 5 cultivators who tried to attack a Moonlight Sect disciple, and he had even killed one member of it.

Since he had already killed one of them, they could be considered on opposing sites, and he didn't have to think much about it.

"That's great. Brothers, we don't have to worry about the attack of the Wild Wolf Gang anymore!" Hun Yun heartily laughed after Long Chen confirmed that he was in the Elementary Realm, as he turned towards the other members of the gang and raised his hands up.

The rest of the gang, after hearing this, roared in unison, as they let out the accumulated stress they have hidden within their hearts ever since they heard the recent news of the Wild Wolf Gang.

Hun Yun strode towards Hong Yuan, and patted his shoulders as he said in delight, "Hong Yuan, inviting this Elementary Realm master is the greatest thing you have done. I will give you your due credit for this."

Hong Yuan respectfully thanked him back, his fingers trembling with excitement when he heard that he would be rewarded.

He had thought that Long Chen was merely in the Seventh Qi Refinement Realm, but who knew he was actually an Elementary Realm master?

The rest of the gang all excitedly rushed up towards Long Chen, with huge grins on their faces as they repeatedly thanked him for his help, even when he hadn't done anything for them yet.

After the commotion eventually died down, they all gathered, and set off towards the Wailing Ghost Hill which Long Chen had visited previously.

This time, however, they were going to be venturing deeper into the forest, where there were a few Grade 3 Monsters slumbering and living, along with a multitude of Grade 2 Monsters.

The gang were joyfully chatting on the way to the forest, but as they strode deeper within, they started to raise their vigilance, their voices dying down as they looked around warily, the weapons they have brought along with them raised up in fighting position.

Long Chen and Hun Yun, as the two Elementary Realm masters, stood at the forefront of the group.

A few minutes later, they heard a faint roaring sound that came from the left side. They all simultaneously swerved their heads, along with their weapons towards that direction.

Hun Yun signalled for everyone to cautiously move forward, as they slowly inched towards the sound of the direction.

A huge monster appeared within their sights. It had thick red fur around it, its muscles ferocious and packing with strength, as it was currently lowering its furry head and feasting on a Grade 2 Monster which lay dead on the ground.

The fresh red blood was still flowing from the body, and it was evident that it was only recently killed.

Its claws easily created a hole in the body, slicing off a piece of the meat and devouring it within its mouth.

The entire gang, seeing this scene, all swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

This was a Grade 3 Monster! The Fiery Red Tiger!

This was considered as a Peak Low Grade 3 Monster, which would be equivalent to the Third Elementary Realm.

As far as they knew, their leader was only at the Second Elementary Realm. As for Long Chen, they only know that he was in the Elementary Realm, and in the low-stage Elementary Realm at that.

With the both of them working together, along with some help from the rest of the members, they may have a chance to take down his monster!

Long Chen and Hun Yun both looked towards the monster, before they stared at each other and nodded.

Hun Yun was the first to attack. He charged towards the Fiery Red Tiger, as the blade in his hands vibrated with energy.

He gave a loud roar, before he slashed down on the monster, towards its body, hoping to do some damage towards it.

The Fiery Red Tiger lifted its head up, as it noticed a glint at the corner of its eyes. Turning towards Hun Yun, who was interrupting his meal, he loudly howled as its two feet fiercely stamped onto the ground, creating slight tremors that spread around.

However, it was still too big and too slow to deal with Hun Yun's attack, which made a slash onto its body.

Hun Yun retreated back the moment he dealt his attack, not wanting to get too close to this monster.

As everyone glanced at the monster, they saw a faint line cut on its thick furry body, with slight blood dripping out, created by Hun Yun's strike.

They all breathed in deeply, their eyes full of astonishment. A Second Elementary Realm attack only could deal a fleshwound on the monster?

This monster was far too strong.

Hun Yun narrowed his eyes as he saw this scene, as a feeling of unease crept up his heart, as he tightened his grip on his weapon.

As the Fiery Red Tiger felt the blood dripping from its body, rage started to boil within it, as its eyes turned blood red, growling furiously in might, before it glared at Hun Yun, and began its movements.

Just then, Long Chen began to move.

Holding a sword in his hand, he charged it up with his Elemental Qi, as he unleashed his Shadow Sword skill onto the monster.

The Fiery Red Tiger paused in its movements, as it felt a hint of danger approaching it.

Long Chen swiftly moved the hands in his swords, dealing three continuous Shadow Swords onto the Fiery Red Tiger.

The sword in his hands created rays of light that was as elusive as a shadow, and as fast as lightning, bursting out with explosive power as it impacted the Fiery Red Tiger.

Its huge body was blasted a few steps back by the mere sword rays, as it fell onto the ground, and howled in pain.

This was…! Hun Yun and the entire Fierce Tiger Gang were dumbfounded by this attack.

Long Chen's sword could only be described as quick and powerful, dominating and unstoppable, immediately doing damage and actually pushing back the big Fiery Red Tiger.

Slowly, it began to stand back up on its forefront, looking towards Long Chen with vigilance, as a breath of hot air was released from its nose.

On its body, were three long slashes that cut deep into its body, continuously dripping fresh blood and stained the ground red.

"What are you waiting for? Attack!" Long Chen loudly shouted as his voice travelled towards the rest of the gang who were still in a daze, as they were reminded of their current circumstance, and similarly rushed towards the Fiery Red Tiger.

Hun Yan also did the same, as he struck out with its blade yet again.

The Fiery Red Tiger, under the assault of so many power, along with the occasional deadly slash made by Long Chen, was unable last for long.

It lifted its head and roared out majestically at its last breath, before Long Chen's sword slashed out and made a fine line on its body, dealing the last hit as this magnificent monster fell to the ground.

With this, he gained 7 Talent points, which he allocated towards his Alchemy Talent.

Although his Alchemy Talent still remained at Tier 6, however Tier 6 also had different levels to it.

It was not only when his Alchemy Talent broke through to the next Tier would it be enhanced.

The 7 Talent Points counted towards enhancing a portion of his Talent, and a few information about herbs and Alchemy techniques which he had not understand were made clear by him.

Of course, this was only a meagre amount, but it still made a difference regardless.

The members of the gang all cautiously approached the dead Fiery Red Tiger, wanting to find out if it was truly dead.

And after they found out that it had stopped breathing, they all looked towards Long Chen with ludicrous gazes.

Hun Yun stepped out as he said in a tone of shock, "I didn't know that you were so strong to be able to kill off a Peak Low Grade 3 Monster just like that. The sword move you had made earlier was really astonishing."

"You're exaggerating. I am, after all, only at the First Elementary Realm. My strength still has a limit to it." Long Chen lightly smiled back.

Hun Yun, after hearing this, was been more startled. When Long Chen had made his move just now, he could clearly sense the aura as just a First Elementary Realm. However, the attack power of it was far stronger than his Second Elementary Realm.

Although the Fiery Red Tiger was killed under the attacks of the entire gang, however most of the critical damage was still dealt by Long Chen.

This could only mean that Long Chen was an existence who could surpass levels to fight, and was definitely not just a normal one at that.

Hun Yan gaze towards Long Chen changed, as he took a deep breath, before he carefully spoke out, "Chen Long, as you should know that within our gang, only strength rules. Since you are stronger than me, the leader of the Fierce Tiger Gang, then I shall pass on the mantle to you. I hope that you can become the new leader of our gang!
