Taking the palm strike of a Demigod

"Leave your life behind junior!" He shouted and thrusted out his palm as he was arriving close to Alusec while still in mid-air.

He controlled his power to only be within Alusec's range so that the residual impact would not affect his daughters believing that this amount of power was enough to obliterate Alusec.

"Father no!" Briella shouted out but it was too late.

Bang!

His palm and Alusec's connected but contrary to his expectations, there was no obliteration. Alusec only slid about four to five feet back. Briella who closed her eyes, not wanting to see the gruesome scene of their savior being obliterated, slowly opened her eyes and was shocked to see that Alusec was still in one piece.

"How?" The three of them wondered at the same time.

The gap in strength between a supreme level being and a planetary level being was like the difference between heaven and the earth. A thousand planetary level being would not be able to defeat one supreme level being.

'I sense the aura of a mid star transformation cultivation, so how was he able to block my palm strike... even Ivrena at the peak of star transformation cultivation level would not be able to block me using a tenth of my strength to attack,' The man on black robes was feeling very puzzled that he forgot that he was still stretching out his palm to Alusec's own which made it look like he was reuniting with his long lost love. He quickly removed his palm, staring at Alusec strangely.

"Don't you think it's a bit rude to attack someone out of the blue?" Alusec spoke with a threatening tone.

"Keep quiet midget how dare you lay your hands on my daughters!" The man roared with intensity.

Alusec just shook his head in disappointment, "You've lived for some time and you can be considered old to most people living on this planet but you can't even judge a situation properly," Alusec spoke with ridicule.

"Huh? How dare you speak to me like that, youngsters nowadays have no respect for elde..." The man was still speaking when he was interrupted by Briella and Ivrena, "Stop it father,"

The man in pigtails paused in his tracks as he was preparing to attack Alusec once again.

"He didn't do anything bad to us, in fact he saved our lives," Briella revealed making her father stare at her in confusion.

She then went on to explain everything that happened, from the beginning. Them sneaking out of the clan secretly to come to the ocean, Alusec coming out of the ocean, Ivrena jumping into the ocean after being warned not to, she going after her sister and Alusec coming to save them.

By the time she was through her father who was formerly showing a fierce attitude was now as meek as a lamb facing Alusec. He apologized severally for his conduct which Alusec just nodded to, after all he wasn't the type to get angry at petty things, Ruby would have already disfigured his mouth if she were here and if their father was to remain a bother he could have just found a way to send him to the afterlife to meet the crab lord.

While the patriarch was introducing himself as Patriarch Hong, Alusec noticed something and turned to stare at the forest area again. The patriarch and Ivrena turned to also look at the forest area.

"They're finally here... took them long enough," Patriarch Hong said.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swiiivve! Swwwiiiivve!

Four middle-aged looking men flew out from within the forest area and landed in front of them. Although their flight speed was not as fast as the Patriarch it was still as fast as the average supreme level being. They were all dressed in white and green colored robes with the same insignia of two overlapping moons behind.

"Patriarch! They're safe, thank the gods," One of the middle-aged men spoke.

"Hold your horses, you all arrived here later than I expected... I see that you've all been slacking in your cultivation right?" Patriarch Hong asked with a fierce glint at the corner of his eyes.

The middle-aged men shifted back in fear, 'we're screwed,' they all thought at the same time. They knew that Patriarch Hong never joked with the safety of his daughters which was why he hardly allowed them to go out of the clan. Them arriving here late meant that they were going to be punished by the Patriarch since they were elders, the safety of his daughters was their responsibility too.

"Your monthly resources will be halved for three months," Patriarch Hong stated out their punishments which made them curse in their mind.

"But Patriarch...." One of the elders wanted to explain but he was forcefully interrupted by Patriarch Hong, "Anyone who complains will have their resources reduced to a quarter,"

The elder immediately shut his mouth and buried any thoughts of complaints, the same with the rest of the elders.

Patriarch Hong turned to glare at Ivrena who immediately looked down to avoid his gaze.

"I will be confiscating this," Patriarch Hong said while unhooking the katana from her waist and handing over to one of the elders.

"When we get back, you'll head to the Bali mountain and reflect on your actions there for two weeks without any food and water!" Patriarch Hong decided to add two her punishment, feeling that he was being too lenient on her.

"But father I have to train for the tournament," Ivrena decided to speak up because of the two weeks' isolation which would affect her cultivation.

"Three weeks! It will be a waste of time to allow you to go to the tournament when you're foolish enough to endanger your life and that of your sister," Patriarch Hong increased the timing of her punishment for talking back at him.

Ivrena was trembling in anger but she decided not to say talk back again because she knew her father was a man of his word and he would keep increasing the time if she argued.

Alusec decided that he had seen enough drama for one day and started walking towards the forest again.

Patriarch Hong noticed this and reached out, "please wait, erm how do I address you?" He asked.

"I've been known as many names all through my years but Alusec is fine," Alusec sentence dumbfounded them. 'Why does he speak like he is thousands of years old? He's just at the star transformation level for goodness sake,' Patriarch Hong thoughts were a bit similar to the rest of the elders but the difference was, the elders didn't know that he blocked the attack of their patriarch so they felt that he was just being cocky.

"Alusec? what a unique name," Briella said bringing everyone back to reality.

"Yes, cultivator Alusec, would you mind coming to stay at my clan, for the time being, let me host you to show my appreciation," Patriarch Hong proposed.

Alusec was about to decline when he remembered the familiar creature that he sensed sleeping in both sisters. He took a glance at the both of them and spoke, "No problem,"

'I'll have to find out why and how it's here anyway,' Alusec thought while hatching a plan in his mind. He wasn't bothered that not returning to Rin's courtyard would make Ruby worried because she knew no existence could really threaten his life on this island.

"Thank you for honoring my invitation," Patriarch Hong said with a smile, he wanted to get to know how Alusec was able to block his attack earlier so can befriend him and pull him over to their clan if he noticed that Alusec had potential.

Briella seemed to be very happy about Alusec agreeing to her father's request as her face could be seen beaming with joy which made everyone feel dumbfounded.
