The group continued to follow the termite procession. They didn't know what they were doing, but they were hoping the termites would bring them to water.
After some time, the termites began to slow and cluster together.
Leo signaled for the group to stop and stay low. What he saw brought a surge of relief—it was a modest watering hole.
Sebastian did not know how it would resist and remain unconsumed during the drought period, but it did.
"There's water ahead. You were right," Leo said to Sebastian. A broad, victorious smile spread across his face.
"Told ya!"
"It's not like you were sure!"
The termites busily settled on the water's edge. Some began drinking, while others seemed to stand guard.
