Powerrr!!!

"Oh man… aren't you a cute one?" Michael said as he wiped his tears, "Just so you know- we, gods, earn a lot more than anyone. Even my bank account is more than the official richest man's net worth."

"T-that's a bit of an exaggeration…" Max said, laughing nervously.

Michael said nothing but simply smiled in response, making Max gulp while thinking 'H-he has more than 400 billion dollars…? T-that's like twice the value of my company!'

Max could no longer bring himself to say or ask anything after hearing that and simply followed behind Michael. They walked to the right of the university for over 5 kilometres.

In an empty field, there was a bright white light condensed into a hole-like structure that seemed to suck everything in yet it sucked nothing at all. Around the bright light were rainbow colours rotating the white hole and rainbow shards floating around it.

Max looked at the amazing scenery with his mouth open in surprise. It was one of the most amazing things he had ever seen- it was almost as if he was seeing a crack in space-time.

"Here we are!" Michael said letting out a deep sigh of relief "Finally. I wish I could have ridden a car… but if I did that it would have caused uproar in the world-"

"Um? Why?" Max asked, tilting his head to the right.

"Because the two realms are very separate yet very connected... If we change things in the godly realm and the change does not happen in the mortal realm it would cause a paradox." Michael explained calmly.

"Wait… so if that's the case- what happens when other gods or those monsters destroy anything in the godly realm?" Max asked, getting more and more curious as a science nerd.

"That's the thing… nothing happens when we destroy it in a fight or something but when we try to use things like vehicles or elevators it causes destruction. None knows why."

"Um…" Max started to rub his chin wondering what might be the reason. 'Does the world just don't want our work to be easier? Or is it something else…? Um…'

"No need to overthink this matter, kid," Michael said, patting Max's head "Many scientists tried to figure it out but- let's say it's beyond science."

"No, no, nothing is really beyond sc-" Max suddenly stopped himself from completing his words. For a moment, everything that has happened to him so far flashed right in front of his eyes.

"Haha," Michael ruffled Max's hair while laughing lightly "You are so innocent. All the kids I have recruited so far have been such a pain- I usually had to beat them until their regeneration no longer works."

Max flinched hearing that but said nothing in return and simply smiled while imagining things he did not want to happen to him.

"Anyways. You go out of the rift and I will meet you tomorrow at your university gate. I will take you to the headquarters and officially make you a god." Michael said as he finally stopped ruffling Max's hair.

"...I-I have still not decided if I want to be god or not- I-"

"Kid…" Michael interrupted Max from finishing his words, "You can not choose whether you can be a god or not. You must at least register yourself as a god even if you do not want to work as one."

"..." Max nodded quietly before slowly walking to the rift. He looked at the bright light in front of him which was nearly thrice his height with a loud gulp.

"I-is it safe? Like… you know-" Max asked looking back at Michael with a nervous chuckle.

"It is completely safe. All the gods travel through realms. Now g-"

Just before Michael was able to finish his sentence the sky suddenly turned blood red and the bright yellow Sun turned into a red rose… a red rose with a wide-open mouth having pale-yellow thorn-like teeth. Even the smell in the atmosphere changed into a foul smell worse than any smell that can ever exist in the mortal realm.

Michael suddenly disappeared and reappeared behind Max and pushed him into the rift after saying, "I am sorry. You will be in danger if you stay here any longer." in a serious tone.

"!?" Max could not even react to the speed and was pushed into the rift. It was an unfamiliar feeling… his body felt like it was ripping apart but at the same time he felt nothing at all. He travelled through a tube-like structure with its wall made out of a bright blue colour for a second which seemed like years to him. He experienced something which was impossible to explain or even comprehend.

With a gasping noise, Max was spat out of the rift and fell to the ground.

"Ack!" Max said as he fell on his face. He stayed down on the ground for a solid five seconds before sitting up with a straight face.

"I hate my life…"

Max said calmly before groaning and hitting the ground in anger. The moment his hand touched the ground a big hole as big as 60 metres was made into the ground with cracks going up to nearly 90-100 metres. The depth of the hole was also as big as 30 metres.

Max's eyes widened in surprise as he fell even deeper into the ground thanks to the hole he created.

"What the-!" Max said loudly as he felt the ground below him disappear. He sighed as he fell down inside the hole and looked up at the sky with a tired face.

"Seems like you are out of the semi-spiritual realm." The voice of the ball got transmitted directly into his brain like in the dream.

"Yea…" Max said not even surprised by the voice.

"Congratulations."

"I hate you as well…"

"I am you."

"I said what I said…"
